I have a problem when adding the analog synth. I cant get it to sustain the note that I play whilst I keep on pressing on the key, it works as a "one hit" type instrument unlike the operator. Ive looked on the settings of the analog and I increased the sustain of the Amp 1 but I dont think its the right move. Coud you give more detail on how to get the sound of the analog synth? thank you!
Great tutorial, thanks. Just wondering about your mpk 49s pads. On mine the pads weren't very responsive. Others mentioned a similar problem and some fixed it by: inserting slim cork pads in the air gap between the pad and the sensor film thing, replacing the pad rubber entirely. I used electrical tape in the gap instead and they feel a lot better but not ideal. You seem to be playing yours really easily in the video, did you alter your pads in any way? Thanks again.
good video but i was hoping you were going to automate the baseline verbatim. when i saw the video name, i originally was most excited for the baseline automation
Being a Musician, a fan of OutKast, So fresh and so clean being one of my favorite OutKast beats, being that I am a drummer and have actually learned the beat and played it on the drum set.....No
+StrasnusDude Click 'I/O' on the left of the drum rack to bring up the MIDI routing you see on his drum rack, then set all the pads you want to trigger together to receive the same MIDI note..
Thanks to whomever came up with this idea, and to the teacher who made this vid. Great job at deconstructing a great song! More more more!!! :)
Great choice, what a classic! Duly noted..
Ski you are a true master! i hope this series continues.
I need to start fucking with ableton more
Thought NI maschine would hold it together, but need to do more exploring in ableton. Agreed
This track is as good today as in was in 2012. Well Done
Unbelievable how good you guys are!
A deconstruction of a Justice track would be awesome. Maybe DVNO or Genesis?
Yes indeed, the vocalist is Yukimi Nagano form Little Dragon
love the track. love the tutorial. thx Point Blank.
I don't know why but, when these videos are done I feel sad instead of creative and motivated..

Did the Intro drum loop sound way too similar to Outkast- So fresh and so clean
Am i the only one?
awesome tutorial, really like the guy explaining it.
How do you get the pitch change using a keyboard on that first break? Having trouble automating the swivel the old fashion way.
in the analog and operator, the LFO is good, but how do I get that FM distored tone?
help please
It would be awesome if you stated how many measures each section is, and the Tonic from the start....
Great tutorial, thanks.

Awesome. One question. What's on the send of the 808 kit?
Really struggling with that synth lead for some reason... Any chance we can go more in depth with it?
I hope you guys managed to arrange a kick-back from the akai guys.
love these tutorials thank you very much.
It's vmpk, try googling that, since I can't post urls here.
Really cool tune.
sooooo good, thanks!
Any 4 hero stuff. Degos work is incredible.
where can i get the virtual midi keyboard application?
I tried to get mine to sound like this and I dl'd the bass sound and for some reason its a little too wobbly. I have live 9 could that be the problem?
crazy good ! thanks for your lesson!
She is amazing.
this was so good
Any of the Planispheres would be awesome.
Excellent.
When following this it looks like just a standard reverb. Not even a preset, just drag the reverb effect straight into the send and add to taste
Thank Goodness you had quantization on...
well done
awesome !
Ski, you're a G

Woah it's Mary Win!

how did you combine all of the snares, toms and claps together on the drum rack? the one that is called multi?
