Wow I'm pleased to provide the inspiration 💯 you should totally plan it for next spring/summer let me know if you need any tips. Where are you based roughly?
Pleased you enjoyed! You liking my new series the 7 day mish? Glasses - it's a touchy subject those were my fav for years until I lent against a tree and snapped them 😔 they're AliExpress don't think they're available any more sadly
Gidday, it’s a nice river isn’t it. Will get even more pressure this year with more overseas anglers heading to our part of the world. That middle section does get a hiding so not surprised you didn’t see much there as it’s a fairly quick walk up of there are anglers fishing below. Those two the lower part of the river made up for it though. They can average ~6lb in a typical year but best fished early season before the water level drops, the temps warm up and the hordes arrive!
Your right I think. How about the designated waters stuff maybe that will cool things a little? I'm interested to see how it gets enforced but let's hope it works.... See you on there 👌
Thanks! Pleased you enjoyed! Hey I was wondering do the high country rivers over your part of the country clear at all late in the season say in May, or are they high from snowmelt if not rain?
@NZ Adventurer yeah they are still reasonably clear in May buddy, so they are still a good option. Obviously if you get a bit of rain they'll be dirty but recently during May they were clear.
Autumn fishing brrrrrr ⛄️Nice to see the fish up close! And anytime you don’t catch a fish, you can just call it a hike instead. Win-win 😂. I hear the pack raft request, I’ll consider it if you submit a proper business case 😂
That 7lb fish would have made the whole trip worthwhile, especially in those surroundings. Pity the other angler didn't keep to his promise but there are unfortunately a few like him. Cheers and enjoyed the video
Thanks for watching mate. Yeah I am still chuffed with that fish. The surroundings and a beaut day out make up for the sneaky tactics of others 😉 hope your fishing is going well if you've got some winter options near you
@@nzadventurer I have been out today, some very small fish, don't know where their bigger siblings disappear to in the Wairarapa in winter to reappear in spring. But a few about and enough to have an enjoyable day..........in between trips to Turangi my favorite winter destination.
Thanks for the video, such stunning country we live in
Cheers Mike
Awesome that you enjoyed it! Yes that area has outstanding beauty the fishing takes second row to the surroundings 💯
Great to see you rewarded for all that effort! Look forward to your next vid. It does encourage me to go camping/fishing for the first time ever!

🙏 Hope you've got some fishing & adventures planned with spring there in your part of the world!!
Top film man. Clarity of that river is off the charts. What brand are those glasses please??

Autumn sure is chilly. I'd be so much warmer if I had a pack raft👍🏼
@@nzadventurer 👍You've talked me into it. Approved!
Looks great. Your eyes are still a bit swollen mate, take care. Emerald green water this time.
Thanks for watching! Maybe my eyes swell up at the sight of big fish too 😜
Perfect fly fishing weather, shame you got gazumped by another angler after all that walking!
Ah well - should've bad a packraft for the trip back down tho eh 🛶💯
Or better yet, a jet-pack to leap-frog those anglers!
