You should check the dance practice for Want and see him literally floating in the training room. His stage presence is massive and intense indeed. In real life, you cannot find a calmer and a more shy person, but shy in a good sense (balanced, exceptionally educated, respectful with everybody and with a level of cuteness that can break hearts). You may wanna check Shinee as well, the group he belongs to, one of the most respected and loved boy bands in Korea and worldwide, too.
Taemin debuted at age 14 back in 2008 in the group SHINee so he has been in the entertainment industry a long time. This accounts quite a bit for the level of confidence and artistry in his work as he has had years to hone his craft despite still being young. Many idols really look up to him as a role model. What people love about Taemin is that when he performs he dials it up to 15 but the moment the music cuts he's back to being a disaster soft boi. There are whole videos of people, interviewers, losing their minds over Taemin because of how beautiful he is. But he just doesn't seem to get it half the time and gets so embarrassed. Like others have said, Jimin would be similar to Taemin if he ever went solo because they have that same leave it all on the side lines to perform energy. It's just that as good as anyone will be after him, Taemin set the standard. And part of that is his powerful energy. How he commands a room to look at him with no effort. One guy on a panel knew it was Taemin because of how he laughed backstage. That's not to say Jimin couldn't ever achieve his own version of that. It's just unavoidable that he'll always be held up against Taemin. The beauty of it is that even if they weren't friends, Taemin would be the first person to say that Jimin could be more. He is so supportive of anyone trying to improve their craft. Which is another reason why people love him. He is amazing and everyone is in awe of him and people do put him on a very tall pedestal (valid). But he is always extending his hand to others for them to share it. It's just as of right now, they're in very different places in their careers. Maybe one day when the older members of BTS are serving Jimin will go solo but I can see him being in a subunit more likely. Who knows. That's the beauty of music. Taemin is more than a great dancer. He is only 26 years old and has accomplished so much in the last 11 years. He is already this good at his age and continue to grow with each new music release and performance. The fact that Taemin is a self taught dancer that is truly legendary. I often see people comparing or saying there bias is better. But you know what its not only about being a great dancer. The reason why he is amazing, i’ts because he is a well- rounded artist and has it all singing, dancing, amazing stage presence etc. He gives so much to every performance. Not many kpop Idols that beside being a amazing dancers are well- rounded and usually lack in singing. There is a different between carrying a tune(singer) and being a vocalist. I also often see people use Taemin a a example as his vocals improved thinking it will be the same for everbody else in the industry. Taemin vocals did improve over the years compared to his debut but he was never tone-deaf (people just exaggerate) his vocals were more than just able to carry a tune. He always had the vocals, it was just that he debuted so young and not having much vocal coaching. Yes practice makes perfect and can improve your singing skills but either you have the vocals or you dont. When taemin performs he is mesmerizing and the audience cant take their eyes off him. He is a natural talent, he is raw, his performance are filled with non stop energy and his dancing look effortless. When you watch him dance you can feel his emotions. He is able to express himself when he is dancing that can not just be delivered by learning the choreography. And on top of that he can sing and dance at the same time. Being able to do that is what makes him the best. With every new music release he is expanding his music and he choose to do music that more than the standard kpop sound. He creates this unique and distinctive artist identity for example, move. Its more than just a concept (this is also the same for SHINee music) Even if your not a fan you cant deny he is one of the best performer and male dancer in the kpop industry. Taemin is one of the idols who debut when he was really young. He debuted with his group Shinee in 2008 and he pretty much grew up in the entertainment industry. Taemin is definitely one of those people who have a different on-stage and off-stage presence. Would recommend reacting to his debut song with Shinee call Replay.

Obama mentioned them in a speech he gave a couple of years ago if that says anything ahaha He has been just as successful in his solo work as he was for his group stuff. also could you check out SEVENTEEN? they're a group that self-produces and self-choreographs most of their stuff. They're known in the industry for having some of the most consistently difficult and complex choreographies. yess SEVENTEEN is an incredible group, you should definitely check out their dance practice or choreo video along with whatever mv you watch, they have 13 members and their formations and sync are just stunning to watch. Their mv for Fear is also one of my favorites, just going by the lyrics it seems like it's about a toxic romantic relationship, but their concept was based around The Dead Poets Society and the song and video are describing their fears in relation to art, music, their self image, and the spotlight/life in the industry.
Like others have mentioned Taemin is a highly respected senior in the game now despite still being quite young. He’s 26 (international age). Debuted back in 2008 at 14. Taemin taught himself to dance at 10 by watching mj. Even without ballet, jazz lessons he is what he is today. An icon who transcends beyond just dance... One of the best total kpop performers of all times.. That alone speaks a lot of who taemin is... He is loved by bff's kai, jimin, Ravi, and other idols.. not only bec of his artistry but simply bec he has such a lovable personality. When fans follow him for years, despite many.new comers in the industry... that is what we call, the magic of taemin.
If you want more dancing Please please react to Taemin’s Press Your Number dance performance ver. 2, especially Drip Drop,Thirsty, and Famous. You’ll love it. Taeminie. My first Kpop love. He holds such a special place in my heart. He debuted with SHINee in 2008, so he's been in the game for a minute. He grew up in the spotlight and has remained graceful under pressure and so very humble. In his 12 year career as an idol, he's also managed to avoid major controversies. From a boy of 14 to a man of 26 in constant scrutiny, that's impressive AF!!! I LOVE him! He's another one that just comes ALIVE on the stage. I'm so proud of him. You should check out SHINee, just take note that sadly, JJong (Jonghyun) committed suicide in 2017 and we still have NOT gotten over his passing. Also, there has been recent static between Shawols and ARMY (a matter of VERY bad timing, tbh) and some members within both fandoms are still salty with one another, so...That aside, as a HUGE fan of both groups, I would love to see what you think, but it's up to you...I will say this, as the Maknae of SHINee, Taeminie different as a group member than he is as a solo artist. As part of SHINee he's more like Kookie on crack (lol) than Jiminie, though he and Jiminie are good friends.
You should definitely react to Move next it's an extremely iconic song, everyone in South Korea was trying to pull off that dance but no one had the same body control to do all those smooth subtle movements. It challenged a lot of ideas about the extreme gender divide in kpop dance styles too, if you're interested there's a great Billboard article called "Taemin Talks 'MOVE,' Gender Stereotypes & Pushing the Boundaries of K-Pop" that I recommend reading. Also the song is co-produced by Adien Lewis who has credits on Inner Child! And if you want to see more of the dancing, along with the main mv you could react to Move #3 Duo Ver where he dances with the choreographer. But if you'd rather see him Go Off dancing instead of just be subtle first I'd recommend Drip Drop, that's probably my favorite choreography to rewatch.

Taemin debut in 2008 with Shinee at only 15 years old!! With their song Replay thats considered the best debut song of kpop. He is also considered the best performance of kpop and recieved several awards for that. He debut as a solo artist in 2014 at 21 years old with Danger. Since then he had several albums in Korea and Japan with a lot of solo concerts also. You should see them. You will love them!!
For all out dancing i would recommend *drip drop* or *danger* (his solo debut track) Its really difficult with taemin because he has so many styles. I think *move* is a great choreo, its not flashy but difficult and precise
Agree with all comments about his caliber as a dancer. I would say he is a all-round-performer and a sheer delight on stage. One thing about his portrayal of sensuality on stage: he debuted super young, has really 'pretty' looks and also dressed as girl earlier in his career on stage looking really pretty, cute..So when he debuted solo, Jonghyun wrote a song pretty boy for him which Taemin performed with Kai. It was a way of Taemin trying to say that he is more than just a pretty boy (read lyrics). He wants people to look at him as a mature adult/man- which he is. I find his performances erotic, sensual more than in your face cheesy sexiness. It's a fine line, which he is able to achieve. There in lies the beauty in this performance. It's his growth as an individual. I hope my fellow Shawols will agree. Also check SHINee out. You may be drawn to them. They have the width and depth in their discography and performances. Taemin debuted when he was only 14 and is now 26 so he has grown up in front of the cameras and has now found his own vibe as it were. He has really been able to show his own style since his first solo. It was through Taemin that I got to know more about Jimin and became a real BTS fan before I’d watched them but after hearing Taemin talk about Jimin I then started to become more interested in BTS as a whole. Still love Shinee but it still hurts my heart to watch just the four of them up there 🥰

Maybe you already read this in previous comments but, anyway. Taemin is the maknae of SM label (one of the 3 main ones in Korea) group named ShinEE. It started as a five-member group and always will be five: Onew, Jonghyun (RIP), Minho, Key, and Taemin. The three of Taemin´s hyungs are in military service at the moment but they will finish it later this year. Meanwhile, we´re able to see Taemin in SuperM working along with another NCT and Exo members. Shinee debuted in 2008 and at that time Taemin was only 14 years old. He´s a skilled dancer as you could appreciate, worked very hard in his vocals and he is a very good singer now. I think you´re right, Taemin´s style is way much sexier and provocative than Jimin's but, there is no rivalry, BTS´members are good friends with Shinee´s. By the way, Taehuyng and Minho worked together in Hwarang k-drama. If I have to describe ShinEE´s style I´d say they are bold and edgy. We can't deny that Taemin is a born dancer and very sensual but I still can't find in any idol, dancer what I find in Jimin, you can't put words on it. Jimin is the most versatile, graceful and captivating dancer I've ever seen. People just don't realize cause Jimin hasn't be able to really do solo stuffs and more dancing because of him being part of BTS. For me, Jimin is still something else.

Taemin debuted at age 14 back in 2008 in the group SHINee so he has been in the entertainment industry a long time. This accounts quite a bit for the level of confidence and artistry in his work as he has had years to hone his craft despite still being young. Many idols really look up to him as a role model. What people love about Taemin is that when he performs he dials it up to 15 but the moment the music cuts he's back to being a disaster soft boi. There are whole videos of people, interviewers, losing their minds over Taemin because of how beautiful he is. But he just doesn't seem to get it half the time and gets so embarrassed. Like others have said, Jimin would be similar to Taemin if he ever went solo because they have that same leave it all on the side lines to perform energy. It's just that as good as anyone will be after him, Taemin set the standard. And part of that is his powerful energy. How he commands a room to look at him with no effort. One guy on a panel knew it was Taemin because of how he laughed backstage. That's not to say Jimin couldn't ever achieve his own version of that. It's just unavoidable that he'll always be held up against Taemin.
The beauty of it is that even if they weren't friends, Taemin would be the first person to say that Jimin could be more. He is so supportive of anyone trying to improve their craft. Which is another reason why people love him. He is amazing and everyone is in awe of him and people do put him on a very tall pedestal (valid). But he is always extending his hand to others for them to share it.
It's just as of right now, they're in very different places in their careers. Maybe one day when the older members of BTS are serving Jimin will go solo but I can see him being in a subunit more likely. Who knows. That's the beauty of music.

Taemin is more than a great dancer. He is only 26 years old and has accomplished so much in the last 11 years. He is already this good at his age and continue to grow with each new music release and performance. The fact that Taemin is a self taught dancer that is truly legendary.
I often see people comparing or saying there bias is better. But you know what its not only about being a great dancer.
The reason why he is amazing, i’ts because he is a well- rounded artist and has it all singing, dancing, amazing stage presence etc. He gives so much to every performance. Not many kpop Idols that beside being a amazing dancers are well- rounded and usually lack in singing. There is a different between carrying a tune(singer) and being a vocalist.
I also often see people use Taemin a a example as his vocals improved thinking it will be the same for everbody else in the industry. Taemin vocals did improve over the years compared to his debut but he was never tone-deaf (people just exaggerate) his vocals were more than just able to carry a tune. He always had the vocals, it was just that he debuted so young and not having much vocal coaching. Yes practice makes perfect and can improve your singing skills but either you have the vocals or you dont.
When taemin performs he is mesmerizing and the audience cant take their eyes off him. He is a natural talent, he is raw, his performance are filled with non stop energy and his dancing look effortless. When you watch him dance you can feel his emotions. He is able to express himself when he is dancing that can not just be delivered by learning the choreography.
And on top of that he can sing and dance at the same time. Being able to do that is what makes him the best.
With every new music release he is expanding his music and he choose to do music that more than the standard kpop sound. He creates this unique and distinctive artist identity for example, move. Its more than just a concept (this is also the same for SHINee music)
Even if your not a fan you cant deny he is one of the best performer and male dancer in the kpop industry. It’s time for people to give him credit for his talents and acknowledge the greatness thats called Lee Taemin.

yess SEVENTEEN is an incredible group, you should definitely check out their dance practice or choreo video along with whatever mv you watch, they have 13 members and their formations and sync are just stunning to watch. Their mv for Fear is also one of my favorites, just going by the lyrics it seems like it's about a toxic romantic relationship, but their concept was based around The Dead Poets Society and the song and video are describing their fears in relation to art, music, their self image, and the spotlight/life in the industry.

Like others have mentioned Taemin is a highly respected senior in the game now despite still being quite young. He’s 26 (international age). Debuted back in 2008 at 14. Yesss!! Glad you've started your journey! I'm definitely staying tuned for more. I know everyone keeps recommending "Move" because it's very iconic however I think you should do that third after "Thirsty". For outright dancing and choreo, I would recommend that for SURE or even "Drip-drop". Although "Move" is sub-dued, sensual and in no way easy choreo AT all as many can't emulate it, I think the two I mentioned will more explicit in difficulty whereas "Move" is on you appreciate as time goes on ESPECIALLY music video wise. If you're going to watch the dance practices then that's different.

If you want more dancing Please please react to Taemin’s Press Your Number dance performance ver. 2, especially Drip Drop,Thirsty, and Famous. You’ll love it. Taeminie. My first Kpop love. He holds such a special place in my heart. He debuted with SHINee in 2008, so he's been in the game for a minute. He grew up in the spotlight and has remained graceful under pressure and so very humble. In his 12 year career as an idol, he's also managed to avoid major controversies. From a boy of 14 to a man of 26 in constant scrutiny, that's impressive AF!!! I LOVE him! He's another one that just comes ALIVE on the stage. I'm so proud of him. You should check out SHINee, just take note that sadly, JJong (Jonghyun) committed suicide in 2017 and we still have NOT gotten over his passing. Also, there has been recent static between Shawols and ARMY (a matter of VERY bad timing, tbh) and some members within both fandoms are still salty with one another, so...That aside, as a HUGE fan of both groups, I would love to see what you think, but it's up to you...I will say this, as the Maknae of SHINee, Taeminie different as a group member than he is as a solo artist. As part of SHINee he's more like Kookie on crack (lol) than Jiminie, though he and Jiminie are good friends.

You should definitely react to Move next it's an extremely iconic song, everyone in South Korea was trying to pull off that dance but no one had the same body control to do all those smooth subtle movements. It challenged a lot of ideas about the extreme gender divide in kpop dance styles too, if you're interested there's a great Billboard article called "Taemin Talks 'MOVE,' Gender Stereotypes & Pushing the Boundaries of K-Pop" that I recommend reading. Also the song is co-produced by Adien Lewis who has credits on Inner Child! And if you want to see more of the dancing, along with the main mv you could react to Move #3 Duo Ver where he dances with the choreographer.
But if you'd rather see him Go Off dancing instead of just be subtle first I'd recommend Drip Drop, that's probably my favorite choreography to rewatch.

He is also considered the best performance of kpop and recieved several awards for that. He debut as a solo artist in 2014 at 21 years old with Danger. Since then he had several albums in Korea and Japan with a lot of solo concerts also. You should see them. You will love them!!

Agree with all comments about his caliber as a dancer. I would say he is a all-round-performer and a sheer delight on stage. One thing about his portrayal of sensuality on stage: he debuted super young, has really 'pretty' looks and also dressed as girl earlier in his career on stage looking really pretty, cute..So when he debuted solo, Jonghyun wrote a song pretty boy for him which Taemin performed with Kai. It was a way of Taemin trying to say that he is more than just a pretty boy (read lyrics). He wants people to look at him as a mature adult/man- which he is. I find his performances erotic, sensual more than in your face cheesy sexiness. It's a fine line, which he is able to achieve. There in lies the beauty in this performance. It's his growth as an individual. I hope my fellow Shawols will agree. Also check SHINee out. You may be drawn to them. They have the width and depth in their discography and performances. Taemin debuted when he was only 14 and is now 26 so he has grown up in front of the cameras and has now found his own vibe as it were. He has really been able to show his own style since his first solo. It was through Taemin that I got to know more about Jimin and became a real BTS fan before I’d watched them but after hearing Taemin talk about Jimin I then started to become more interested in BTS as a whole. Still love Shinee but it still hurts my heart to watch just the four of them up there 🥰

Maybe you already read this in previous comments but, anyway. Taemin is the maknae of SM label (one of the 3 main ones in Korea) group named ShinEE. It started as a five-member group and always will be five: Onew, Jonghyun (RIP), Minho, Key, and Taemin. The three of Taemin´s hyungs are in military service at the moment but they will finish it later this year. Meanwhile, we´re able to see Taemin in SuperM working along with another NCT and Exo members.
Shinee debuted in 2008 and at that time Taemin was only 14 years old. He´s a skilled dancer as you could appreciate, worked very hard in his vocals and he is a very good singer now.
I think you´re right, Taemin´s style is way much sexier and provocative than Jimin's but, there is no rivalry, BTS´members are good friends with Shinee´s. By the way, Taehuyng and Minho worked together in Hwarang k-drama.

ShinEE fandom is called Shawol and the lightstick is a pearl aqua diamond shaped-top that resembles a microphone. The distinctive color for the group is also Pearl Aqua in a way that a lot of their merch is that color too.

Jimin’s dancing was inspired by Taemin, so that’s why he has similar flavor to Taemin. Taemin debuted in SHINee when he was 15 and that was over 10 years ago! Ten from NCT/WayV also stated Taemin was his inspiration. Many young idols reference Taemin as having influence on them.

I personally think Jimin and Taemin have very different vibes. They both have the sexiness but you can def tell the difference in their dance and music. We can't deny that Taemin is a born dancer and very sensual but I still can't find in any idol, dancer what I find in Jimin, you can't put words on it. Jimin is the most versatile, graceful and captivating dancer I've ever seen. People just don't realize cause Jimin hasn't be able to really do solo stuffs and more dancing because of him being part of BTS. For me, Jimin is still something else.
