- Quick summary
If Leonardo dies she will cast super OP buffs on all the of mobs. (front and backrow) So you can't kill her right away.
The adds all have their own buffs, that makes it so the first character to hit them gets a debuff. (Each mob has it's own debuff) They can recast the buff but it only works once. Leonardo will buff their NPs every turn. Whenever you hit Leonardo or a add they will lose 1 NP charge.
Very hard fight. Especially without Merlin BS.

How long was the editing process? And from a scale of Saber Lily to Merlin, how difficult was it?
That is the best scale i've ever seen lol.
Changes a bit depending on the length of the fight and the units being used. Editing the footage generally takes an hour.
The music varies the most. I make a lot of music playlists and while editing the footage I generally set the playlist(s) to random and see if anything comes to me. However sometimes I know just what to use well in advance. So it's anywhere between 5 minutes to an hour.
Syncing the music up takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Thumbnails take about 10 minutes, rendering the video takes about 20-30 minutes.
This video on a scale of Saber Lily to Merlin is a Charles-Henri Sanson. It's really bad, but when you pull it off it's very rewarding.
My friend list was full. But i'm having to cut it down sadly :(
having a huge friend list makes making videos insanely hard. I can't summon my BFF or my alt account whenever I want to. Which is a big problem because that's the supports I use for videos.

it took really long but I beat it with holmes, merlin, and jeanne. pretty much on full hp the whole time. holmes' 3 turns of debuff immunity was useful and helped avoid the 1hp debuff

It's one of the funner boss fights. But it's indeed terrifying.
Tough fight, that final stun from that mob almost ruined everything for me as well...anyway the result is good
The stun did not matter. I was going to Ea next turn so I just wanted some free damage on that mob to make sure it died. Better to have Joan eat the stun so Gil can use Ea. And if the Ghost had lived I still had HP and guts on Gilgamesh. There was no way to lose.
I love Da Vinci, her fourth artwork is just amazing, it'a a pity she's not particularly good as a servant.

Also clears all debuffs for your team.
Drallocc123 Jeanne is bad at the moment but after the interlude, she's a goddess. Use her with a healer and you are practically immortal.

The only thing I don't like about this challange is that if you don't have a Jeanne/Waver/Merlin/Tamamo you just can't win, so far I've not seen anyone clearing this without one of these servants
XPS3GaMeRPS3X It's because at least 75% of the player base ALWAYS uses Merlin. And if DW doesn't balance some bosses around how insanely OP he is, players will be complain the game is to easy. I saw so many people on reddit saying "lawl this event is so easy" But when you looked at their teams it was always Merlin/Waver. So no shit it's easy.
But if you don't use Merlin these bosses are kinda bullshit.
That is why I dislike Merlin so much. He is very bad for the game and he allows players to win with terrible team building skills. Just bring whatever DPS that's a counter class to the boss and Merlin and you will beat most of the content.
The few bosses that are hard for Merlin are generally unfair to players without him.
I don't really care about Merlin onestly, I mean I use him too and I like it. I don't play FGO to find a "challange", I play it to get my favourite servant and to use them and have fun, but I still like watching people like you doing challange on "hard mode". Even if I used him in the Da Vinci challange it was hard for me, I mean he's basically the only support I have that can heal and buff the party so without him I probably wouldn't have cleared that quest. BTW the new quest with KING HASSAN WTF DW
I like Merlin as a character quite a bit. His gameplay is just way to easy mode and you can't deny Merlin has made the other supports near pointless. Why would you ever use Hans (aside from budget reasons) when there is Merlin? Same for Shakespeare.
These character used to have meta uses in the right niche. Now they are just budget supports for people that don't have Merlin. And THIS fight can still be hard with Merlin like I said. because it's design to be so. But a lot of the OTHER fights are not hard if you use Merlin. And that is why they made this fight the way it is. (Much like the Giant Boar fight during the Summer event)
Meanwhile players without Merlin have a hard time with the other bosses and Leonardo and the Boars are just unfair BS. It's really bad game design. Unless you are hardcore as hell it's "Use Merlin or get out" in a lot of fights. That's really unhealthy for the game. You can't tell me you haven't noticed the bulk of videos / pictures that get posted have Merlin/Waver in them. the % is so whack it's clearly a balance issue.
As for people just playing for fun using whatever. That is fine. I don't blame them I blame DW.
Yeah I mean if I have to get a support I would go for Merlin, I agree with you on that. But when I'm playing "normal" quests I like to use every servants I have, like Hans or Helena caster and such. Then if people boast themselves about winnig by using Merlin + Waver etc... they are just stupid, I mean when I won these challanges of Nerofest I was just happy that I could clear them and get the tickets. Speaking of challanges I think I will not be able to clear the one with King Hassan RIP

im new to all this, so how much was this challenge nerfed? do you think EN will even get to try the pre-nerf version, or do you think it'll just skip to the nerfed version when this gets released in EN?
NA will get the easier version. It was clearly bugged. Because the previous year was 50% reduced NP damage not 99% like it was in this video. And they patched it to be 50% again.
I finished this pre nerf, but I went again to see if there was a two np downs on Da Vinci and nothing happened, can we not beat this quest again nerf mode lol?
Oh, and after I destroyed her first bar and nothing happened, I thought of continuing to see where could get again, and after an hour I won again just for the lolz nerf or no nerf, never again, ok, maybe just to see the nerf myself again, but I'll quit just after first bar down xD
try Merlin, jeanne and np5 lvl 100 Hercules. none of them die for me.

Pre-nerf? What was the nerf? Or will there still be one?
I think the nerf is that she can only restore 1 NP bar with her skill instead of 2. Because of the 2 bar skill Da Vinci is almost constantly at full NP bar at the end of the video.
Why Jeanne did not get Stunned ith her Noble P ?
Simple, Jp server has Jeanne second interlude that will improve her Noble Phantasm. When she used her np, she wont get stun anymore, but she will remove all allies debuff instead

Harrison slack you can find this in the app store with english subtitles , it’s Fate Grand Order. it doesn’t have as many servants as JP though. if you want to download fgo jp, look up how to make an app store account for japan

David Bulgarelli he used his holy grails on Cu to break his level cap, which makes any character gold if you go high enough

I just cleared it with almost the same set-up they used, but I used my NP5 Suzuka instead of Mo since I don't have her. I think a strong AoE saber will do the trick, as long as they have enough Arts cards to help Jeanne get her NP up before Da Vinci does.

@@tintran105 It is a really tough fight, very RNG dependent. Who are you using instead of Mordred? I used two seals to fill Jeanne's NP, but it worked out in the end.

@@tintran105 If you're using Martha Ruler, it definitely needs to be Jeanne. Without her, it's extremely difficult to survive Da Vinci's constant NP spam.

I doubt you can solo it, do to the high number of adds.
These videos take a crap load of effort to record and edit. I want to focus on the new bosses first. But after that if I have time i'd like to re-visit some of the fights.
I love budget teams tho. So any fights I re-visit I'll mostly aim to do that.

DW put out a tweet saying the changed something. People are saying they lowered how often she uses pierce invulnerability. But I have not tested it personally.

Nothing changed in that regard.
But apparently now Da Vinci loses 2 NP bars when you attack her instead of 1, making it a lot easier to stall her NP

Artoriaimer I haven't tested since DW said they changed her. But I believe it's only after you break her first HP bar.. Tho some people are saying what changed is her A.I won't use Pierce invulnerability as often.

If you have a David he can be helpful. In general tho you should level Hans Christian Andersen. I can never recommend that enough. Mash/Hans is generally good enough support that with whatever friend summon you pick you should be good. However Hans alone is not enough in this fight because he is mostly healing. He won't block Leonardo's NP
If you throw David in there you are super good. Especially when he's second skill is rank 10.

You always reccomend David, but his skillset seems...Kind of lackluster. Explain to stoopid-stoopid me why is he so good?
He's second skill can save your whole team from a AoE NP. and at rank 10 the cooldown is not very long. if you don't have Jeanne or Merlin he is one of the only supports that can save a whole team from an AoE.

I actually think the concept is amazing. You have to balance out hitting Leronardo to line her NP up with your defensive options. But you can't hit her to much or she will die early.
Plus her Pierce invulnerability skill and the adds having their own mini gimmicks. The issue is the overall stats of the enemy team is a bit to much. And it kinda brute forces you into limited team comp options.
This has been a huge issue ever since Merlin was added to the game. If everyone uses Merlin most bosses are just so easy it's a joke. And people almost ALWAYS pick Merlin as their support. So a huge chunk of the player base cries "The game is to easy" But if they balance around Merlin the people not using Merlin are ultra fucked.
A good example of this was the Giant Boars in the Summer event. That fight was just designed around you having Merlin. Shit be dumb.

kosmos I put that in the low bar. But in short if you kill her she will buff EVERY mob with a massive ATK+ DEF+ and pierce invulnerability. The buffs last forever and can't be removed. (She also buffs the mobs in the backrow)
