@@DroneMaverick unfortunately, I am unable to get the pop up box when connecting Ctrl+DJI when the cable is connected to allow permissions. I'm not sure if this is related to version 4.2.2 on the controller, but I've followed the instructions and cant seem to get the connection. There does appear to be slight differences in the settings menu items.

The same way you connect USB to micro on the remote.

Sounds awesome!, im looking to buy my first drone and I figured out many people saying " for mapping dpi phantom 4 plus CANT DO THIS!.. and I was thinking to buy dpi magic 2 pro, but its not my 100 choice because I see the 60 fps of Phantom and that really make the difference!. So, the problem was fixed with phantom 4 plus!.. thank you!. its was pretty helpful for me!.

Look at the Phantom 4 Pro and not the Plus. The controller will not come with a screen. You can use your phone or an IPad Mini (preferred). Better way to go overall...
Ok I have the Phantom+ and I DL the Litchi app and to shut down DJI go you go to settings and location and this is where you can stop DJI app and then after 5 hrs of trying things, It works. Thanks to your video for the idea.
I mean it took me 5 hrs to figure a 3 min fix. no cables needed on DJI Phantom 4Pro+ V2.0 with DJI 300k monitor

Recently purchased the Phantom 4 with the GL300K controller, in ignorance of the 3rd party app connectivity issues as documented here... Pete Morgan indicates that the USB loop does not work due to the USB port being a date in only. HAS ANYONE HAD ANY SUCCESS IN CONNECTING THE INSTALLED 3RD PARTY APP TO THE DRONE AND MAKING IT WORK?

Heya, does LItchi and Pix4D still work on the P4 Pro Plus < v2.0 > remote ... since DJI installs the "NO Rollback" firmware when we update our firmware each time? I think that I saw somewhere that it does not. I would like to have Litchi & Pix4D on my P4 Plus v2.0, but ONLY if I know it will work. Thanks, Chuck (N.E. Florida) : +)
Thanks much for the helpful video. I downloaded the amazon appstore app file to my P4P+ controller but when I try to install I get an out of space message even though there is plenty of space on my device. Any advice?
You can uninstall apps that aren’t being used to free up the space you need for Pix4D. Uninstall WeChat, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. They have little value on your P4P+ to begin with.
i followed the steps second by second. did the installation and it installed everything. but i keep getting a message that unfortunately, pix4d has stopped.
now i am too afraid to do a test flight and the app crashes mid flight

I uninstalled Facebook, Twitter, WeChat and Instagram on my P4P+. I trust Pix4D.
There must have been an update because I tried followed this and now when trying to install pix4d and Ctrl+DJI in Apkpure I get an error with both apps saying “Your device isn’t compatible with this app” and after I still proceed to download it at the end after it downloads it says “Installation failed.”
Any idea on a workaround this? Thanks
Dude good video. I am having a fit because I can't download my video productions from editor to the SD or download them to my computer or phone. Do you have any suggestions? DJI is telling me it is impossible. Nothing is impossible.
Kenny Brock The editor might need the original file on your SD card in order to download.
The editor I believe is just a low quality snapshot instead of the actual file. I could be wrong though.

I'm currently trying to put litchi on my p4p plus and hoping this will work. I have paid for and installed the litchi on a mobile device for other dji drones. Hope its not going to ask me to pay again..

@@DroneMaverick Thanks so much for your response. It didn't work. I have tried putting Google play on because that is where I originally purchased litchi. But now Google play won't let me log in. Also trying to install it on an iPad. And that won't work. It says installed but it isn't on that device. I don't want to keep paying for the app when I already have it.🤔🤨

Installed on my p4p plus and doesn't need the USB cable. Did it through Amazon. Planned a short waypoint mission last night and will let it rip today. Thanks again for your time to respond. Appreciate it.

Thank you! Works a treat. I also installed Map Pilot Pro this way and while it runs there is an error warning in the background saying "Map Pilot Pro wont run without Google PLay services which are not supported bu your device. Any ideas how to fix this?
Unfortunately, I ran into the same issue and could not install Google Play Services to make it work.

This is not working for me. Watched both videos and followed all steps. I even uninstalled the ctrl + Dji app. The popup dialog box just does not show up. The usb is connected as storage. Am I supposed to disable the DJI GO 4 app?

Edynsson Caballero Litchi does work with V2.0 but only when you’ve downloaded “Amazon Go” which is an App Store.

Great question, you don't need any additional hardware. The touch screen comes with the P4P+ Remote.

so I just got 20-hour used p4p pro V2, onen is the advance and what is regular. I can't even get my tablet to recognize the drone the advance one is working but then I noticed there was no mapping software on it the whole entire reason I got that one other than it was brand-new not even activated so I would have to one is a backup on-site. I'm working through all of the compatibility issues right now with Android and discontinued software, glad I ran into this video. hope it works. how in the hell did you figure that out 😂

There are two types of micro USB cables, one for charging and one for data transfer with charging. You may be using the cable that’s for charging only. The pop up only works when it sees a micro USB data cable.

The micro USB cable must be for data. Some cables are made for charging batteries only.

So i"ve installed airmap to my P4P+ remote but the app needs "google play services" to run, then the app says the remote doesn't support those services. How do I get this to work?
The last update on the P4P+ remote might help. They haven't updated the software for a while I think.

Every app you installed will be gone but once you do, they are easy to install again.

Drone Deploy needs all the bells and whistles of the Android operating system in order to work. The P4P+ doesn't have those features. Thanks for asking!

I have tried every step you mentioned including the USB debugging, but still there is no pop-up window in the screen. when I connect the Cable, it only shows notification of USB connected to computer, no POP-UP for the app Choice list.

I've heard that not long ago DJI started putting a "NO rollback" into its firmware updates to prevent 3rd party apps (like Litchi) from working with current and going firmware updates ... AND ... preventing us from rolling back our firmware to an earlier version (that would work with the 3rd party apps)).

I followed your instruction but it didn't pop up anything and still disconnected even I followed your 2nd video to change to developer mote. Please help!
The last thing I would recommend would be to reset your remote to factory default and try installing Pix4D again. There is a slight chance that the cable your using might not work for the P4P+ remote. I did have that issue before, and now I don't anymore.

OK I get to Ctrl+DJI then plug in the USB to micro USB with the drone on but I don't get the pop up message to access the USB? Can you suggest anything to help?
Plug the USB cable in a second time and see if you get the pop up message. That’s what I did and it popped up.
Pete Morgan also remember to close out Pix4D and only open Ctrl+DJI in order to connect the drone to the app.

Pete Morgan Make sure Pix4D is not running in the background while your in the Ctrl+DJI app, which is the first app you start running. Once connected then hit the green button on the bottom right that says “Open Pix4D”

I managed to get everything installed and functional. But the apps keep force stopping. Have you had this issue?
Yeah I had to re-install until the issue went away. Maybe shut the other apps off might help.

this version works with P4P+ no crash
All worked up until the hold for 3 sec. It showed ready to launch but it didn't launch at all. It just came back to the mission
OK so further to my above comment. Pix4D will run the default mission. As soon as I edit the mission, eg. make the area bigger, the mission is reported as being uploaded to the drone but the drone will not take off. It will take off if I accept the default mission size
Fun to hack but not a viable solution unfortunately- just too buggy. It seems to me, after trying several other similar options that the issue is Ctrl DJI. It simply does not play well withh the controller. A better options iss to get the normal controller and an android device

Thank you for this video. I was able to put APKPure on to my GL300K RC (Built in screen), when I go to put Pix4D Capture on it downloads, then I get an error message that it is an empty packet when I go to install. Any suggestions?
