Wonderful reviews man, so glad Twisters was a pleasant surprise I will check it out when I can I've heard it's superior to the cheesy 1996 original. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a tone of fun and Wicked blew my expectations out of the water it's the perfect adaptation of the musical and my favourite movie of 2024. War of The Rohirrim I agree is underrated and thanks for the shoutout about my instagram post, I saw War of The Rohirrim yesterday with my friends like you saw Wicked with your friends and it was a blast. The Wild Robot is such a stunning animated masterpiece and easily my favourite animated movie of the year and more than made up for the dud that was Kung Fu Panda 4. Shame Dreamworks will take a big step backwards with the live action How To Train Your Dragon remake in 2025 but at least they'll have The Bad Guys 2 that year. Can't wait for your 2024 movies and shows ranking!
As a filthy otaku weeb who never showers, I do think that the animation for War of the Rohirrim was really great but not the best anime movie I've seen on a technical standpoint (The crown is still tied between Spirited Away and/or any of Makoto Shinkai's movies) Also imo, animation for the first half of 2024 was pretty awful ngl with Kung Fu Panda 4, Megamind 2, The Garfield Movie, ect. However ever since Inside Out 2 I'm blown away with the quality of animated movies such as The Wild Robot, Transformers One, Piece By Piece, and more. I highly recommend Look Back and Memoir Of A Snail, easily my favourite animated movies of 2024.
