Cleveland-Cliffs HBI Furnace Tower Lift Compilation

On Sep. 30, 2019, Cleveland-Cliffs completed the erection of the 457-foot furnace reactor tower for its hot briquetted iron (HBI) project in Toledo, OH. The completion of the tower involved 11 separate lifts using one of the largest construction cranes in service throughout North America, which has a 3,000 ton lifting capacity. This video shows a compilation of all 11 lifts involved in the construction.
