The greatest teaching we must obey at this time is the message delivered by Jesus Christ himself in the opening of Revelation, which is...Return to his original teaching...even before well meaning Paul got hold of it. Therein is a science which can do for us what it did for the first Christians. It gave Almighty God the authority to save us...even from death...and puts the righteous onus of our death on those who cause it. We then don't need to concern ourselves with the net result of Wormwood entering our gravitational field because that is for those who have betrayed us.
Amen. We are to be keeping the morning and evening sacrifices in memory of His death and resurrection. As Paul said, pray without ceasing day and night. These honorary sacrifices are how we begin and end our days as followers of Messiah.
These things are not chores, but joy

I agree with praying but Paul also told us we are no longer bound by the laws of the old testament because by grace we are saved not by our works.

Christian Jews still upheld the law. They weren't going to church in Jerusalem, they were going to synagogue. If the morning sacrifices looked forward to the death and resurrection of messiah, then we are to keep them, not as sacrificing animals, but the Levitical sacrifices are symbolic to what are to be held by followers of Messiah after he came. The burnt offering of being born again, the peace offering, the sacrifice of thanksgiving. These sacrifices are all prayer offerings now by which way we no longer "strike the rock", but speak to the rock

Great teaching Dr what you say is true we must get up early in the morning and worship God and read His Holy Word as Jesus said The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. May the Lord bless you and your family and let the Christians/Catholics learn the Word of God in the proper way.
When I watch James Tour and the Zeal of the LORD comes upon him, and he "Kicks into gear" ... I weep for joy. God Bless this man. I pray for him ... I wish I had the Spirit of Discipline as he does.
Revelation 3 doesn't say believers will be taken to heaven to avoid the Tribulation. It says they will be kept from temptation. That doesn't require being removed from the planet.
Rev.3:10 "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth."
The Body of Christ is promised to be kept "from" meaning "out of" [Greek word ek = out of] the "hour" or time of the trial which shall come upon the whole world." The only way to be kept "out of" both the time ("hour") and place ("the whole world") is to be taken out of this world into Heaven. "Let not your heart be troubled...I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:1-3)

Help that person not to fear, but to make sure their salvation. Compare 1 Cor 15:51 & Rev 10:7 mysteries. Prima facie evidence outranks biblica gymnastics & pretzel making of our holy book. Show love & humility to those who want to fight you about this. Being with Christ is what matters. When is not so critical. Agree to disagree, but love your sister. I argued and won in my mind. He had more grace than I. How I wish I could tell him "sorry", but he's gone & happy with the Lord. How petty I was because I had to be right. You prep, the Lord can use your prep whether you are her we or not. If you get pleasantly surprised and you get a pre-trib rapture, great! If you are right you will be in position to reassure them or lead them to Salvation. God will use you whomever proves right.

Even Jesus made a cord of whips twice; he and John the Baptist called the leaders, snakes -followers of Satan. Some people are saved by fear of going to hell and other people are saved by the love of Christ? in a narcissistic generation, you have to use fear, More so!
God doesn't mix His grace with law. So, we who are saved by Christ's shed blood for our sins will be called out before the tribulation.

I also believe that the wrath of God cannot fall on his Church : like Enoch who was raptured before the flood, like Lot and his family whom the angels took out before Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.

I was told fairly recently that a large part of Isaiah is written in poetic prose. Is this portion of Isaiah poetic prose?
My question is; how much of this piece of scripture is spiritual truth and how much an analogy of things to come? Should our carnal understanding be the way to understand what is prophesied?

and knowing antichrist has power for 31/2 years and is destroyed at Christ return how can you say he comes at the beginning of Daniel's 70th week or the 7 year last week?
Do you think we Christians today are any better than the apostles or those who are dying today for their faith or Christ who gave himself for us. A servant is not better than his master. HE THAT ENDURES TO THE END SHALL BE SAVED. I've followed you and will continue to do so but I cant agree with you on this and frankly I cant see how an educated man as yourself could believe otherwise contrary to scripture.

Criticizing ones doctrine is not being a scoffer. Tell me where does it say that God will keep us away from the day of temptation (tribulation). False doctrine is rampant in today's society. Tribulation was made for God's people and the Wrath of God is given to those who are not His people.

I would ask you, Dr. Tour, if your statement regarding being friends with Joel Osteen from Lakewood Church gives you any concern. He wouldn't say anything negative about homosexuality when asked on national TV. He does not preach the gospel as taught in God's word and I believe 1st Cor. 5:10-12 certainly applies. I will pray that we seek God's truth regarding that ministry.
I don’t believe have a right to judge the state of JO’s heart and where he stands before God. Only God can do that.
He may have some error in his doctrine, but he is equally a brother in Christ as long as he puts his faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ 😊

I dont know when the Rapture will take place, but there's a lot of scriptural gymnastics for the Pre-Trib Rapture. 1 Cor 15:51 seems prima facie, clear as can be fact. It takes a lot of gymnastics/pretzel twisting to try to escape it. I'm a bit disturbed that brother James keeps using God's message to the Philly Church to "prove" a pre-Triɓ Rapture. It's specific to only the Philly Church in a probable Laodicean age. Phiily does escape, but God often uses death as an escape for thè righteous from a disasterous future. Unless all the other churches have no Rapture it would not seem to refer to the Pre-Trib Rapture. I wish it did. Brother James I would feel better if you compare Rev 10:7 mystery & 1 Cor 15:51 mystery & resurrections. I am concerned about honesty issues. Typically 1 Cor 15 is ignored in favor of 1 Thess 4. That "Last Trumpet is a huge stumbling stone. I hope you are right. Iused to teach it using Larkin & Darby &Schoefield notes.
I really like James Tour like really really like, but one of the test that I use to determine if the person knows the WORD is knowing if it is post trib or pre trib. Because if you read it yourself without learning from everyone, the Bible is very clear about a few points. The whole Bible is about being faithful and trusting the LORD by testing… Furthermore, the whole book of Revelation has a purpose. Truly it is quite easy reading to know … isn’t it the Last trumpet? Furthermore if you believe what Jesus says why would you think Jesus is hiding the secret rapture ? In fact, Jesus is warning about false teaching of finding Jesus in secret places …He is making it clear his coming will be spectacular. And Paul said you will see the Lawless one in Thessalonians before he returns …how clear can it be? By the way Jesus says he is your teacher. So read and pray and find your answer.

I think that ir´s possible that the ones who are sealed (for their protection) may be the ones that will remain to bring many to The Lord during the tribulation. Thus fulfilling that salvation will come from the Jews
The sealed seems to be the 144,000 Jewish male virgins. The rest of the Tribulation Christians lose the war , but ressurrect. Kind of hard to keep an army down who resurrects. Christians are at war with the 666ers.

The Bible does not say that a quarter of the earth will be killed. It says that the rider of the red horse and the beasts will have power over a quarter of the earth to kill. There’s a big difference between those two.
A billion survive as my old memory speaks. That's twice what the Elite want to live. Exactly how many die, God knows. He is all that matters. We have an Extinction Level Event with one portion of an asteroid so big it seels to be between Phaeton & Ceres-sized. God has to shorten those days or no flesh would survive. Based on Hebrews 12:22-24, the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26 cannot be separated from the New Covenant fulfilled by His blood at Calvary. See the words "church" and "mount Sion" and "new covenant" and "Jesus" and "blood" in the passage.
Are we supposed to believe the angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel to reveal the timeline of the Messiah who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and then the angel failed to even mention the New Covenant. Or, is the covenant with the many in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the many in Matthew 26:28? The 1599 Geneva Bible is the Bible the Pilgrims brought to America, before John Darby showed up on our shores about the time of the Civil War. What was the earlier understanding of Daniel 9:27 found below in the notes of the 1599 Geneva Bible?

Hidden in Messiah
My friends, repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ now, and you will be saved. Otherwise, you will be in the lake of fire on the Judgment Day. You are now almost at the fire of hell. Please read Revelation 21:8.
I don't really have the right words here, but I don't know that I agree with this "pre-tribulation rapture" theology. It's not something I was taught as a Lutheran, and I just don't see how any of the often-quoted Biblical texts are interpreted this way. I fully support James' ministry, but this one teaching always sends a red flag in my opinion, telling me that the person behind the pulpit is too easily influenced by the whims and ways of the modern church. For those who truly love God, belief in this teaching will not influence their salvation. But, I still don't see it as a good thing to believe, overall.

The beasts in Revelation are not literal wild animals.
We were commanded to not just read, but study the word of God and rightly divide it. Because though everything in the Bible is written for you and your edification, it's still not all written to you and your generation.
Today you're saved by grace through faith alone in the Lord Jesus and his gospel 1s Corinthians 15:1-4, we're the bride of Christ, the church of Christ, the body of Christ, but every generation isn't gonna be part of the bride of Christ. The family of God, yes, but not the bride of Christ who are those of us living under the age of grace. The great tribulation saints are saved by believing and trusting in the gospel PLUS works.

Dr. Tour, what do you think of your critics? Do you think they’re simple-minded haters and slanderers who want to damage your academic and professional reputation for no reason? Do you think they just want to correct you so you aren’t promoting pseudoscience? Why do you think what you think about your critics? Can you provide some irrefutable pieces of evidence that allowed you to come to your conclusion? Maybe make it into a video response.
A lot of nations have different names in those prophecies. The United States of America has a name which represents what she has become since she broke her covenant with God that she was established to uphold. Her new name is Babylon the Great, the Mother of all harlots and abominations. Read Revelation chapters 17 and 18 and tell me that you don't see the USA fitting every description given.

We have a hope. C.S. Lewis called these days This Present Darkness. Gird up your loins, "our little fantasy world" of escaping tribulation is not scriptural. God does whatsoever He pleases. A servant is not greater than his Master. Are you willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for Christ or are you looking for a quick escape route? I have no desire to go through tribulation, however I'm more concerned about escaping the eternal fires of hell rather than seven years of tribulation. God please open the eyes of your people and prepare your church for the dark days ahead. Martyrdom may await some of us. Do you want to have your ears tickled or do you have your loins girded up to endure to the end?.

1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 and revelation 19 The rapture is the same event as Jesus' return, which is after the tribulation, before God's wrath. Jesus returns at the end of the tribulation to save the 1/3 of Israel, which is prophecy of Zechariah 13.
7 yrs of tribulation lead to Jesus' return. Jesus returns with armies in the clouds rev 19, which is identical to 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18. Rapture is at Jesus return.

The 2 witnesses come before Jesus return, and the abomination of desolation (animal sacrifices) is brought back in israel before Jesus returns.
2 witnesses will be here for 1260 days.
The abomination of desolation will last 1290 days
Add them together it's 7 years.
Blessed are they who make it to 1335 days.
Some people think Jesus returns at the 1335th day.

Jesus will rule his Kingdom from Heaven, NOT from the earth. The "Jerusalem" referred to in Revelation is HEAVENLY Jerusalem, it is not the earthly city in Israel!
The expression “heavenly Jerusalem” is used in the Bible to describe the indestructible heavenly Kingdom to which anointed Christians have been called. (Hebrews 12:22) But you have approached a Mount Zion and a city of the living God, HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, and myriads of angels
When the apostle Paul wrote this, the earthly city with its temple was still very much admired by Jews. Thus, PAUL REMINDED HEBREW CHRISTIANS that “WE DO NOT HAVE HERE A CITY THAT CONTINUES, but we are earnestly seeking the one to come.”-Hebrews 13:14.
The destruction of all human governments will take place at Armageddon and that will include Israel, the nations will be removed completely. The earth will look totally different during the Millennium, all the wars will cease and only one Government will exist, the Kingdom!

@@macdaddyp8437 That wrath is eternal damnation in hell, not the tribulation. The verse you’re quoting is comparing opposites. We have obtained salvation from hell. We’re not saved from a period of time called the tribulation.
If God didn’t make the eschatological scriptures 100% clear, why do we have pride in thinking that our interpretation is 100% correct?

The “first resurrection” in Rev. chapter 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the Book of Revelation, because the two witnesses are resurrected from the dead in chapter 11. There are two different types of resurrection in John chapter 5. There is a spiritual resurrection from the dead in John 5:24, and a bodily resurrection from the dead in John 5:28-29.
Does your view of the Millennium agree with what Paul said in 2 Thess. 1:7-10, when Paul said Christ returns in "flaming fire" taking vengeance on those who do not obey the Gospel? The fire comes at the end of Rev. chapter 20.
Does your view agree with what Peter said in 2 Peter 3:10-13, when Peter said this earth is going to burn and "dissolve" when He comes as a thief on the day of the Lord? The fire comes at the end of Rev. chapter 20.
Does your view agree with what Paul said in 2 Tim. 4:1, when Paul said both the living and the dead will be judged at His appearing? The time of the judgment of the dead, with reward for some and destruction for others is found in Rev. 11:18, right after the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible. (This verse also proves the Book of Rev. is not in chronological order.) The judgment of the dead is also found at the end of Rev. chapter 20.
Does your view agree with what Jesus said in Matt. 25:31-46, where He described the judgment of the sheep and goats, which leaves no mortals alive on the planet at the end of the passage? There are also no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Rev. chapter 19.
Does your view agree with Peter in 2 Pet. 2:4, and Jude in Jude 1:6, when they both said wicked angels are already in chains of darkness?
Does your view agree with what John recorded in Rev. 9:1-2, when an angel comes down from heaven with a key to unlock the pit, which means the pit was locked before that time? Are there wicked angels already in the pit in Rev. 9:11? John recorded angels already "bound" in Rev. 9:14. The beast "ascends" out of the pit in Rev. chapter 11, which means the beast was in the pit before that time.
Take all of the above and compare it to the symbolic language found in Rev. chapter 20, and the fact the Book of Revelation is not in chronological order, and you will have the truth.
