This completely sidetracked everything and consumed me for a whole few days. I had no idea making a quick reaction to your video would have turned out the way it did but here we are. Wife is very happy that life is back to normal haha.
People who fake Thylacine sightings are, above all, an embarrassment. They think they are being "clever" when the opposite is true. They were astoundingly stupid right through the ridiculous performance including the idiot disguising his identity and actually having no idea how you get to Tasmania from the US.
The "thylacine enthousiasts" that were hoaxed by this insanely obvious hoax are obviously the real embarrassments. Seriously, how did this happen? It's like a Michael Jackson fan club being shown some pictures of a barbie doll dressed like like MJ and going into an all out "MJ lives!!" frenzy. Y'all are so dumb.
I mean, Forrest made su much hype about this and ita not that important in the first place. There is probably no thylacine and they push that story so hard on his team for no reason except making it hype for the views and shows. Ofcourse people gonna attach to the story that us fake as fuck.
The fact that the dude said he flew directly to Hobart from Chicago immediately made me suspicious. There are no flights to Tasmania from anywhere in the US!
I’m from Chicago and have been to Australia a number of times, it’s VERY rare to not have a stop on the west coast before heading over and that would only take you to a major city in Aus.
My 15 year old nephew couldn't tell you what cities or airports he's been to. To me, misnaming the airport made the story more believable. It was the direct flight to Tazmania without stopping at Sydney or Melbourne that I found suspicious.
for real tho, when forest was interviewing him it's like the kid forgot how to speak which made it very weird. not to mention that stupid "disguise" attempt lol
i kinda just assumed he was somewhere on the spectrum, by the way he talked and presented himself but the story was complete dogshit. the naming of the wrong airport was the final nail in the coffin for me.
TLDR: A guy on Twitter created the models and then took pictures creating the hoax. Afterwards he pretended someone else was taking the photos using his models to get traction and market penetration. But they figured out it had to be him based on the dates.
@ctenophoractenophora Yes it’s was dude not only where the pictures matched up graphically with the pictures used in the fake thylasine pics and not only were the pictures posted afternoon Forrest was contacted but also the profile picture for the dude who sent the email to Forrest was literally archasuches dog. If its not him who else could it be
As someone who worked with digital art, I thought about reaching out to you, because as I was watching the video something about the photos struck me as off. If someone has already mentioned what I saw, forgive me for repeating some things, but I'm hoping this will help you catch some things early on about a fake photo in the future. First things first, that one photo from the kids social media. It somewhat shocks me that they would go through all this effort to make so many of the photos look convincing, but then have one so badly cut and pasted, but that one was the one that looked the most cut and pasted one of them all. It was clear that they'd done a really bad job of cutting out that head so it didn't look like parts of it's body was cut off. The biggest thing for me though was the inconsistency of the stripes on the supposed thylacine. It is true that when photos are blurred due to movement, some information is lost, but not that much. Especially if someone is shining direct light on an object. I even went to check some photos and videos of tigers to see if their stripes vanished during a blurry photo, and they didn't. Also, on that note, there were times that the ears looked floppy on the thylacine and as I'm sure you know, this isn't a feature that is usually seen in a wild animal, only domesticated animals. I also looked at the only video we have of a thylacine and watched it's movement and compared it to the photos, and I noticed that the chest was too broad for a thylacine, and the movements were wrong for how narrow it's chest was/is. Finally, it is completely possible to fake the night glow of animals eyes if you know how to do the lighting properly. It's not the easiest thing to do, but you can do that using the spray paint brush in photoshop or any digital art program. Some digital art programs even have tools that will mimic that kind of reflective lighting. That's the main things I noticed. After that things like his unwillingness to show his face, and the time stamps of the photo made me more inclined to think they were faked. It kinda suck, but I'm hoping these are some things you can pick up on in the future.
That open jaw photo looked fake as hell. Some of the photos looked good but as soon as i saw that open mouth side profile picture i knew it was fake. Not to mention how sketchy that guy was and wanting to hide his face...
@@Izamota-q5v yea that’s not that crazy of a request to not want to have your face on camera. The numerous holes in the story are what made me believe it was a hoax. He couldn’t even explain which airports he went to or where they were even located.
@@NaterBater I think if you'd made potentially the most amazing natural history discovery of the century - you would not want to remain anonymous, what would be the point? I couldn't get past that....They should have used the model on a trail cam...would have been far more convincing. Instead they create this elaborate story - none of which makes any sense....Why was it lying down? Had it been hit by a car or not? Would it yawn / gape in a stressed situation? Why was it casting shadows so close on the background, Why not video it? And as for the supposed travel route? 😂😂😂
Was he one of the internet sleuths that helped locate Luka Magnotta? Magnotta was that tween model who recorded himself suffocating and killing kittens and murdering Jun Lin.
@@Lonely_dove or how about just complementing a skill set? Some Gen Z folks like to make up buzz words and then just apply them to everything…. Like you just have that word in the holster and you’re just ready to draw. It’s a simple compliment. Like where do you even draw the line between somebody talking about how good somebody is it some thing and “glazing“….Do you even know where that line is? Genuinely curious.
Hey Forrest, TheGamingBeaver came up with a theory that Henry is actually Archesuchus because the profile pick of Henry is actually an image of Archesuchus’ dog. Also, no one would’ve had access to his images since none posted pre-dated the meta data, but Archesuchus would’ve had access if those were actually his pieces.
I’m sure he knows. I honestly wonder if Forest purposely didn’t include that, as as I’ve seen, a lot of people have been hating on archesuchus. It’s a shame, his artwork is great, and although I’m fairly certain archesuchus did make the fake, people have been downright harassing him. He most certainly shouldn’t have done the fake, however people have taken it way too far.
@@RowanFox77he can its just the guy started publicly slandering Forrest. The dude legit hates him. So its funny to see forest complementing a man who hates his guts.
My main point of scepticism was that he didn't take a video, the photos would suggest several attempts to get a clear shot, so why not take a video instead?
If you have s*itty camera, you don't take videos in the dark, if you hope to get even one nearly good shot.. by taking video, you would just screw up your chances.. just couple days ago I tried to film my cat and forgot to put lights on and the video is pretty bad and I don't even have super bad camera on my phone.. + we don't get dark at all at this point of the year, so when I was taking the video it was not even really dark, it was just "sun not up in the sky" and I was in side my apartment.. still the lack of light did really bad for the video
@josspa6558 Yeah, you'd need the flash on. Even if the footage is bad, you can pull frames from it. But regardless, in this context, when you're that close with such a fleeting encounter and a clear intent on getting multiple angles, I personally think you'd be crazy not to film it as it's a guarantee you capture everything
The crazy part to me is that there's some people out there that hate this guy so much they're willing to make themselves clowns in order to "get back" to him, don't even know the reasons they hate him so much, he seems like a good guy and has done amazing things for nature, nature world seems to be really competitive, for some reason
@@madnessarcade7447Like @mds_main said, the photos were not released at the time of the email and maybe the video. Thus, the only person who knew it existed was archesuchus, and considering “Henry”’s pfp in email is archesuchus’s dog, it was probably archesuchus.
@@madnessarcade7447 of course it was the same guy, something I said from the start. The guy in the interview revealed his face some seconds and it has too much resemblance to not be arch-whatever
My little spark of excitement died when he mentioned the flight and airport. Plus rarely does someone come all the way to Australia from America and just visit Tasmania.
The biggest thing that bothered me over Archesuchus trying to claim it wasn't them, was the 1:1 picture of his dog that can be found on their page that they used as the profile of "Henry"..... like, seriously? To perpetrate a hoax and waste peoples time, then act like the victim when you're easily ferreted out, is insane to me and a horrible way to get attention. Just wild...
The thylacine moeel was for his twitter thread called "Weird birds". It's just a horror story where extinct animals come out of portals. His intention wasn't to create a hoax, somebody just took his pictures and made up a story about them. At least do a tiny bit of research.
@@shrekhoodieguy5449 and how could they do that if he posted the images of his thylacine after the dates that they "contacted" forrest? And literally as the above comment said the email by Henry was literally his dog as a the pfp
@@ferociousrazordino3581 again, if you did some fucking research you would know that. He created a thylacine model for his ARG and the fatass that Forrest interviewed used his photos and made up a story about them.
@@ferociousrazordino3581The time stamp in the email could be fake. I wouldn't be surprised if Forrest were part in this hoax too, but with this story arc he doesn't look like the bad guy.
@@ehrytgsfth seems unlikely to me because if it was they would have just posted the "correct" date that forrest contacted them instead of 1 day later Either way, it's incredibly likely archesuchus was behind it or atleast involved, the dog photo pretty much confirms it
@@ShellyCline I'm not desperately trying to discover something that doesn't exist. Now those people, those people really need attention, and cute is not the word I'd use to describe that obsession. Madam, are you familiar with projection?
@@stedibear well, since I've gotten absolutely no attention from anyone over my interest in the thylacine, I would have to say projection doesn't apply here. Approaching perfect strangers on the internet to speak to them rudely over something that affects you absolutely zero, yeah, that fits the bill a little more closely.
@@ShellyCline stop gaslighting. You said you "definitely want the truth". We all know you don't actually want the truth, you just want to feel special and have your ego satisfied, your feelings validated. It's a long shot, of course, and even you know it, but you're desperate, and you need it. I bluntly told you the truth. But it's not what you actually want to hear, of course, so you go on the offensive. You tried your jabs with "cute" and "honey", mentioning how I need attention. One might even say you were being.. dare I say it.. rude. So I see the very obvious irony of that "attention" statement, and hope you'd see it too if pointed out. But I understand, it's a painful thing to look at yourself in a moment, when you've already started insulting someone else, when you've already got riled up, I get it. but just take a deep breath madam. I give you the projection hypothesis. Now of course, instead of being able to take that in (which is understandable in your current state), you double down. So not only do you dismiss the projection as non-applicable (which it of course very clearly isn't), you claim to have been the victim of someone speaking to you rudely. Which, if we look at the evidence (you know, that science thing), I think perhaps you actually started. So, projection dismissal by instantly projecting again. So, anyway.. The fact that you - in your own words - don't get attention for your interest in the Thylacine, does not refute my hypothesis of that attention being what you desire. It's not complicated, really isn't. But if you made it this far in my little essay, congratulations. This is you getting more attention than you deserve, but I thought it'd be a fun little exercise to debatelord you a little since you seem so confused by the world. All the best Madam, I hope you find your extinct animal and through it some recognition and inner peace. Hugs and kisses, mwah.
Putting the entire process from tip to debunk out in the public eye was a great exercise. It’s important to show people how this stuff happens and allow them to engage in each step of the process. Hoax or not, you helped get some value out of those pictures.
When forest asked if he could digitally draw these pictures, the guy said "no, I could draw a turtle though" being he was a turtle enthusiast. So he could of course have a go at a tazzy tiger
Because the reasoning they were using was dumb as hell. I'm autistic and have anxiety issues (my memory is shit as well, especially when put on the spot), thus, I would have acted similar to the guy in the video, even if I had actual legit pictures of a thylacine. I wouldn't want pictures of me to be associated with finding a thylacine in media footage, for a huge example. I wouldn't be able to remember which flights or airports I was at on the way to Tasmania either, on the spot. I would sound nervous talking to a random youtube with tons of subs on a video chat as well. (Which to some people, means you are lying)
@@madnessarcade7447 A lot of time when someone was making a theory in the comments of videos, they would arrive like swarms of Grasshopers, and start being agressive, angry, would make you believe that you are not worth being in world and others things...to a point where that did not have anything related to a Thylacine anymore, only anger. And im not even talking about the people who were defending Andrewsuchus. They were the worse. In all honesty after making the original video, you had a responsibility to make this one. Difference between you and others is you actually handle things the way you should, much respect
I commented on the 1st video saying the photo perspectives/angles were WAAAAY off/suspicious and didnt match his account of what happened(one of the pics made it look like he was 2m from the animal filming downwards and he said he wasnt close to it like that)
whats worse is that Archesuchus guy just plays victim when called out by beaver, absolutely disgusting one thing to make hoaxes for fun but intent is key, his intent was malicious and vindictive against forrest
Forrest is not a victim here. Forrest had a responsibility and could have easily seen through the hoax if he'd chosen to do due diligence in source analysis. Instead, he went for the clickbait route to drive revenue. Forrest has, financially speaking, made more out of this whole debacle than any of the other participants, and he knows it.
Yeah I wasn't buying the pics from the get go and then when he started to explain his travels... I was totally convinced it was BS. Which is annoying, because he wasted a whole lot of time and it just further discredits any further efforts to find one in the wild. Even though I'm not optimistic there's any left, I'm with Adam Greentree in the "man I wish" camp.
I am glad you shared the photos so all the sleuths could partake in getting to the bottom of it. I did think about the fact that it could have been a real Victorian Era taxidermied Tasmanian Tiger Specimen from a private collection which exists and there are some in museum collections.
I knew right away that these photos were fake. Still, I'm not giving up on the possibility that the Tasmanian Tiger exists. And I believe that if anyone can find it, it will be Forrest Galante!
I had seen people of Facebook clowning you and whatnot. But you still have a backbone and will come out to take accountability for having messed up. Not many people would do that.
Back in 1998 I went on a wilderness trek in Tasmania. I spoke to a senior National Parks Ranger about the Tasmanian Tiger. It is general knowledge the Thylacine survived for decades after it was declared extinct. The reality is by the time it was protected the gene pool was just too small to facilitate genetic diversity. Bad genes from inbreeding finished them off. Sadly the Thylacine is no longer with us. The plans to bring the Thylacine back by cloning is never going to happen. If we want to find something good out of the tragic extermination of the Thylacine we must learn never to make this mistake again. The Koala is 100% destined to the same fate unless unprecedented measures are taken to protect it. Instead of chasing ghosts let us embrace the living before it is too late.
Forrest Galante has a large social media following, and one observation that his fans keep making is that he is truly passionate about wildlife. But passion is disconnected from any reliable metric of someone's competence. You cannot infer how much someone actually knows about a subject by their passion for it. And the evidence is clear that he makes basic errors, either cannot do proper research to ascertain the correct conservation status/taxonomic validity of taxa or doesn't care to, and partakes in unethical behaviour by stealing and attempting to steal credit from legitimate researchers. But the greatest evidence that he is not a competent biologist is his singular failure to have followed through with any of these alleged rediscoveries by publishing them in a peer-reviewed scientific journal. He thus maximises his public image by constructing a rediscovery narrative that the public are not likely to question, while easing the burden upon himself by not putting it out there for the scientific community to properly vet.
You couldn't have set it any clearer. This would have put it all to rest. You would think that somebody that had that many chances and time to have that many pictures could have just hit record and then would be the one to put this to rest. But lo and behold that wasn't the case go figure.
As an artist, I'd feel odd with the pictures at the first sight because the pictures doesn't feel alive, but my first thought that it was a taxidermy of thylacine
Forrest you did not get duped. You were somewhat skeptical. You would have been duped if you came out and said YES, THIS IS 100% WITHOUT A DOUBT PHOTOS OF A LIVING THYLACINE. So you did not get duped but you did raise a scenario for others to go out and disprove and they did. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Stop acting like theyre alive please. Humans did atrocities to them. Trying to say they're alive is removing this atrocity and pushing the blame away and acting like we didnt falsely target them over the feral dogs that actually were attacking stuff and making them out to be monsters.
@@Milk-yi1dj Because at the end of the day, no matter how much we humans try to deny it, the primary and most significant reason we continue to search for the Thylacine, even decades later, is guilt. Sure, people will also cite environmental reasons and other reasons as well, but come on. We continue to search for the Thylacine and hope it's still alive because we don't want to continue carrying the burden of knowing our species was responsible for unjustly wiping out an entire species.
Forrest, Really great move recording that whole interview and posting it. Because had you not, all eyes would've been on you no matter how much you explained that this character existed. Even got him to turn his camera on when he didn't want to. Boy was super sketch.

Forrest Galante I didn't see this episode, wish I could get more of your content but, question: have you done an episode on the Amure Leopard, or have I just missed it!? Thank you for your interest and research. You keep it alive.
It's not wrong to want to hold on to the hope that maybe, just maybe, those photos were real...to believe that truly these creatures could still be out there living and elusive...but some people really suck. It's so disappointing to know these kids spun a whole hoax...and even got the pros to believe them, I still hold the Thilacine as one of the coolest animals to have ever lived. I remember my first school report ever was on them, and the Quagga...I hope that one day we can see a real specimen, and know for sure one way or the other of they still exist. In the meantime, I will be sceptical of any new photos or stories until there's 100% irrefutable proof. Thank you for all you do to educate and entertain us with your work, it is always appreciated!!

Man, I just saw your original video, and then I had to deep dive into the validity of the pictures myself. I so badly wanted it to be real! I'm in the same camp as you. However, I noticed there were Photoshop filters used to make the photos look older and or from taken farther away. I use those filters all the time. I do photo restoration among other things. I so so badly wanted this to be real! But I'm keeping my eyes open.

Realistically even if they are still around I doubt they would look the same as they did 100 years ago. I definitely think some survived after they were declared “extinct” but they wouldn’t have survived this long with such a low population numbers
the appearance changes would be minimal if at all. for some of the people saying 100 years isn't enough for changes I would like to give the following counter example. 100 years is certainly enough for rapid evolutionary changes under extreme pressure as can be observed with cane toads in Australia where some populations increased the length of their hind legs by as much as 30% in mere decades.
Guys I was referring to deformations more than adaptations. If a small population did survive lots of incest must have happened for them to live on to present time. Birth defects and illness would’ve made them look sickly since by now they all must be related (assuming their still around)
When it’s all said and done, I loved this saga. It was so exciting and showed us the kinds of photos you’d need for proper proof. The fact that they were so convincing means that, for me at least, I got that closure and don’t worry about it anymore. It’s like seeing a loved one that passed one last time, and not having that longing anymore.
So on the video you did before on the Tasmanian tiger pictures. I commented about a TH-cam creator but I watched that does gold sniping videos who lives in Tasmania. He has two videos on searching for the thylacine. And the last video they made had some pretty compelling evidence. No they did not get pictures or video of a thylacine. However they did find some tracks. So it would be worth checking out the video.

I’m sorry but that whole “they’re kids and they made a mistake” does not sit well with me. Not only did he use someone else’s work without permission to make a hoax. Made Forrest and their entire team look foolish and gave our hopes up for nothing. Also they keep referring to him as a kid …. I watched that video and the dude looked and sounded like an adult to me!!! An immature one to be fair … but wasnt no adult. I saw more ACTUAL thylacines in those photos than “kid” behind the mask …
This was why I was 50/50 on these photos. It's a shame because the chances of actual sightings are less likely to be believed. Unfortunately their are some people who think that it's funny to fake a sighting of an extremely rare animal.
I've probably seen every video people have made on the subject since the interview, one hell of a rabbit hole, the thylo model admittedly looks incredible
This completely sidetracked everything and consumed me for a whole few days. I had no idea making a quick reaction to your video would have turned out the way it did but here we are. Wife is very happy that life is back to normal haha.
Hi beaver 👍
😂😂love u both guys 🤝I need a collaboration on Forrest and beaver
This is better relief than post constipation dinner
HI
Hi beaver
Plenty of private flights from Chiraq to Tazzi. Just no commercial.
lmao you're the one who fell for it because you watch this garbage fire of a channel
@@Ranstone Yeah but this guy obviously wasn't a millionaire. He couldn't even afford a decent disguise. 😂
I figured he floated on a hot air balloon. You never know! He was full of hot air, after all.
Yea dude and he said he was driving to Darwin airport on the way home
Maybe he has super powers...
I’m from Chicago and have been to Australia a number of times, it’s VERY rare to not have a stop on the west coast before heading over and that would only take you to a major city in Aus.
He said he's from Minnesota. Kept saying he took a plane from JFK airport in Chicago to Darwin. Then corrected himself NYC to Hobart.
You could tell the gig was up when you asked him about the airport. He was just waiting to be told you didn't believe him.
Plus he said the airport was two hours away. Try 4 hours.
Also there are no direct flights to Hobart from the USA.
Only international flight into Hobart is from Auckland NZ.
My 15 year old nephew couldn't tell you what cities or airports he's been to. To me, misnaming the airport made the story more believable. It was the direct flight to Tazmania without stopping at Sydney or Melbourne that I found suspicious.
The only thing worse than the photos was the story.
for real tho, when forest was interviewing him it's like the kid forgot how to speak which made it very weird. not to mention that stupid "disguise" attempt lol
i kinda just assumed he was somewhere on the spectrum, by the way he talked and presented himself but the story was complete dogshit. the naming of the wrong airport was the final nail in the coffin for me.
The story itself had holes, but the way he told it came across as so authentic. He really sold this “awkward kid doesn’t know what he found” persona.
@@patrickleahy7854 yeah thats why i held out on my doubt for a good chunk of the video
Yeah that interview was sad.
TLDR:
A guy on Twitter created the models and then took pictures creating the hoax. Afterwards he pretended someone else was taking the photos using his models to get traction and market penetration. But they figured out it had to be him based on the dates.
But it's not him, or at least it's not the person who talks to Forrest as they claim in other videos, he is a dark-haired trap, not a fat blonde.
@@cristianrojas2664 I think Forrest was saying they were working together
@@cristianrojas2664 what's a trap?
Are you talking about archesuchus(idk how to spell)? It wasn't him
@ctenophoractenophora
Yes it’s was dude not only where the pictures matched up graphically with the pictures used in the fake thylasine pics and not only were the pictures posted afternoon Forrest was contacted but also the profile picture for the dude who sent the email to Forrest was literally archasuches dog. If its not him who else could it be
The biggest giveaway, besides showing no face nor having his dad get interviewed, was when he said he flew direct to Tasmania from JFK
it's possible, but only if the plane was powered by thylacenes running on giant hamster wheels
This.
I've flown into Hobart a couple of times, it is a tiny airport. it was so obvious at that point in the interview that the dude was full of shit.
JFK, which apparently is in Chicago 🤣🤣🤣
Glad i'm not the only one who caught that.
Eh I'd hide my face either way - Not a big fan of having my face online.
@@Izamota-q5v yea that’s not that crazy of a request to not want to have your face on camera. The numerous holes in the story are what made me believe it was a hoax. He couldn’t even explain which airports he went to or where they were even located.
I didn't even need to see any photos to know it was fake. Save yourself some time and realize the animal is extinct.
Same.
People that fake things like this just don’t understand the damage they do.
1000 percent true

He should find the douchebag that did the hoax, show his face
Someone from the Midwest being the one to see the Thylacine and take the best pics of it was an absolutely massive red flag

@@backyardjungle4954 I see what you mean
But regardless, in this context, when you're that close with such a fleeting encounter and a clear intent on getting multiple angles, I personally think you'd be crazy not to film it as it's a guarantee you capture everything
the photos are manipulated crap - the moving pictures are no better - just give us good honest video.....
Wow what a joke I am so disappointed..guy looked like an idiot with a towel disguise
Because video is harder to fake 💀
I'm so disappointed that Archesuchus was behind this. I love his ARG 'Weird Birds' and it's such a shame he used is amazing art in this way.
Seems like someone used his photos without his permission that was the implication
The crazy part to me is that there's some people out there that hate this guy so much they're willing to make themselves clowns in order to "get back" to him, don't even know the reasons they hate him so much, he seems like a good guy and has done amazing things for nature, nature world seems to be really competitive, for some reason

Nobody knew his model even existed when Forrest received the photos. Arch is unfortunately the only one who could have done this.

Not crazy into believing that the situation was not fake, but they were really aggressive, like god dayum chill !!!

What a clown 🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀
I had seen people of Facebook clowning you and whatnot. But you still have a backbone and will come out to take accountability for having messed up. Not many people would do that.
What a shame. Glad you caught it
Back in 1998 I went on a wilderness trek in Tasmania.
And Henry's profile picture was also of Archesuchus's dog.
He thus maximises his public image by constructing a rediscovery narrative that the public are not likely to question, while easing the burden upon himself by not putting it out there for the scientific community to properly vet.
taking pictures instead of a video is the 1st red flag
You couldn't have set it any clearer. This would have put it all to rest. You would think that somebody that had that many chances and time to have that many pictures could have just hit record and then would be the one to put this to rest. But lo and behold that wasn't the case go figure.
Wouldn’t have made a difference videos can be faked too

Man, I just saw your original video, and then I had to deep dive into the validity of the pictures myself. I so badly wanted it to be real! I'm in the same camp as you. However, I noticed there were Photoshop filters used to make the photos look older and or from taken farther away. I use those filters all the time. I do photo restoration among other things. I so so badly wanted this to be real! But I'm keeping my eyes open.
Im feeling bad for Forrest
I'm glad you posted the video. I just saw it yesterday, but it was fun to pick it apart before seeing this one.
I knew it was a fake picture when he bit Elvis
As an Aussie, the fact he kept mentioning Darwin INTERNATIONAL Airport, was funny asf
yeah same. He saw the international part and guessed it took had direct flights to chicago. Then when people were claiming he flew direct from hobart I was surprised less people werent calling him out. That airport is more like a shed than something that could facilitate long flights internationally.
So many comments on the previous video talking complete shit with a very special type of ignorance which is unique to America
Fuck! They seemed so genuine. I believed them. Now I feel stupid
Don't worry, we've all been there, it's how we learn!
I was suspicious before clicking on the video because I thought it looked stuffed & I've also learned to not trust anyone but I wanted to believe… plus real photos can look off sometimes.
Being an investigator & artist with photography, photoshop, & metadata experience, I was overwhelmed by red flags & had to start digging.
It didn't take me very long to find the dates of their Twitter posts but it took a bit longer to figure out the guy interviewed must be a friend, relative, associate, etc. of the hoaxer as it became obvious by their appearance that they were two different people.
However, if I hadn't had my background, I may have been one of the MANY believers.
Trust me, a ton of smart people fall for hoaxes all of the time - Look up how Banachek fooled scientists!
I believed in a lot of weirdness until I tried to use science to prove it all. I didn't start becoming skeptical until I was in my 20s, & started learning about the science behind everything, along with all of the other possibilities.
So, don't feel bad, you weren't the only one, & even the most skeptical likely believed at one time.
Plus, Forrest says he believed enough to post. Even if it's not true & he didn't really believe, he knew enough people would… & they did - so you're not alone!😉

YT deleted my comment, despite removing the emoji, so I'm trying again:

Didn't take long to find the dates of their Twitter posts but took a bit longer to figure out the guy interviewed must just know the faker as it became obvi by their appearance that they were 2 diff ppl.

I commend you for this apology video.
No matter if it was born from a mountain of controversy or not.
“my camera crew all say its legit. theyre experts” aged so bad lol
He didn't say that exactly. I remember very clearly, he was excitingly skeptical.
Well the photos were real to be fair, the animal in the photos was fake though.
Dudes so down bad that he’s just reading a teleprompter the whole video 😂😂
Realistically even if they are still around I doubt they would look the same as they did 100 years ago. I definitely think some survived after they were declared “extinct” but they wouldn’t have survived this long with such a low population numbers
An animal's appearance wouldn't change in the course of 100 years.
The last known Tasmanian Tiger died in a zoo in 1936, so no, they wouldn't have evolved anymore than they already have.
the appearance changes would be minimal if at all.
for some of the people saying 100 years isn't enough for changes I would like to give the following counter example.
100 years is certainly enough for rapid evolutionary changes under extreme pressure as can be observed with cane toads in Australia where some populations increased the length of their hind legs by as much as 30% in mere decades.
@@KT-pv3klYeah, but they aren't in a new environment. If there are Taz tigers left, they are living where they have always lived.
Guys I was referring to deformations more than adaptations. If a small population did survive lots of incest must have happened for them to live on to present time. Birth defects and illness would’ve made them look sickly since by now they all must be related (assuming their still around)
It just makes it a lot harder for anyone who ever gets a real photo of one if they still are out there.
This breaks my heart I WANT TO BELIEVE
I'd like to believe it, but it's hard to believe
The open jawed picture looked suspicious. And flying directly to Tasmania seemed very unlikely. But we all want Thylacines to be alive somewhere.
the gaming beaver!? what a lad
real
The man child
How would one find such a video by chance?
@oPeacock tassie boys gold prospecting is probably the channel he's talking about. Idk on which video
@@oPeacock yes tazzy boy prospecting. And it's about the 4th or 5th video back. From the latest post. There is also a young man that goes out with him on some gold prospecting videos named Rob. His link to his channel will be in the description.
Thanks Forrest take a big man to come forward with this.
I’m sorry but that whole “they’re kids and they made a mistake” does not sit well with me. Not only did he use someone else’s work without permission to make a hoax. Made Forrest and their entire team look foolish and gave our hopes up for nothing. They knew what they were doing and they knew how to cover their tracks so it was not a mistake, it was entirely intentional what they did
Also they keep referring to him as a kid ….
I kept telling you those are photos of my ex
We should have believed you man.
Man, we are sorry for not believing, you were right man.
These trolls need to be dealt with accordingly…
Hope for a Thylacine, expect a Fakelacine
I've probably seen every video people have made on the subject since the interview, one hell of a rabbit hole, the thylo model admittedly looks incredible
So sad that it was too good to be true this time
