      Hey @TH-cam , how come there is nothing that seems to being done about the telegram scams that are posted by the thousands? It is difficult to keep up with removing them when they get posted hundreds at a time , anytime of the day and night. Seems like with all of these algorithms, that there has to be a way to stop this from happening?

      It's EVEN HEATED! And a roof on top!
      Oh that would be heaven for me, first started wrenching on grass and gravel, now I've upgraded to a paved stone driveway. Still no smooth surface or roof above my head, but it's still nicer than on sharp gravel.

      Tell me about it! I remember helping to split a tractor in the paddock to change the clutch, because we would have been crawling around in the dirt back home anyway, so why bother dragging it all that way when it didn't gain us better facilities.
      Different now. Now we have a roof, and a concrete floor, and an overhead crane. SOOOO much nicer.

For example something as simple as using a floor jack to put under a vehicle is a dream on cement. I reckon you should get some vehicles and equipment setup inside and have some smoke machines and lighting and record an exclusive Semi Supervillians video to baptise the new shop.

It was raining cats and dogs that morning, but my concrete guys were working inside and paid no mind to the weather outside. The owner told me he had to keep a close eye on his finishing guy, because he'd keep going until he had a mirror finish if he didn't stop him. I wanted a little texture left because a bit of traction is a good thing when you come inside with snow on your boots or tires for that matter.

The smallest pour I've ever been on was 3 times the size of this one. The largest over 10 times as much. I've seen old guinnies bull floating that were older than that whole crew put together. And they'd been doing it their whole lives. They'd be out there with a white wash brush blessing the concrete with some water. Probably was holy water they were using. You have to bring up the fat.

    Sometimes watching tv I am disheartened to see what is happening to this country and the citizens in it. But when I watch video's like this and see the work they do I am relieved to see that the spirit of this country is still found in men who can and will bring it back to the greatest nation it was. I just wish we could have the opportunity to elect individuals who would work to make that happen ASAP with the effort and perfection shown in this construction.
    Thanks Matt for sharing this amazing show.

    Matt, I've put a concrete floor in my pole barn. I learned one thing. The first time it snows watch out when you walk on that slab from outdoors. It only takes a tiny bit of snow on your boots to make that slicker than anything you can think of! Having that shiny floor is great to work on but I think I would have ask for a roughened surface near the exterior doors.

      Painted floors, same result. The company I worked for sold floor coatings. Mostly aircraft hangars and warehouses. The military required a grit surface. Those sealed floors are slick too. Water, oil, grease and condensation. Be careful what you put on them Matt.

      I poured a small slab and used a good shop broom to add a little texture
      . Our fire station had a very smooth finish and like others have said watch out least amount of moisture and that's all it takes.

    • @Hoaxer51
      @Hoaxer51 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They make a product, there’s different names for it, like shark grip and others. You mix it into the clear curing and it’s hard to see but it creates a grip when you walk on it. They use it on stamped concrete, and that stuff can be like walking on ice if it’s exterior and the rain can get to it. Matt could always mix some up and spray around the entrance ways if it gets to be a problem.
      Nice job on the floors guys!

I'm sporting my long sleeve red DC t-shirt today. The first part of the video with the gutters was fantastic. Each time I observe some activity that would be considered somewhat unsafe I literally laugh out loud as I think of your "OSHA Violations" tune. I know it's a good feeling to reach this point in life to see something you've wanted and worked for so long to achieve finally come together. It's evident you have some really good concrete people there as far as I can see. You're gonna love that radiant floor heat Matt. We have it in our farm shop and have no regrets about it whatsoever after 9 years. I'm curious about what you'll be using for the heat source and when that will happen. Maybe outdoor wood boiler considering you have a lot of woods to gather from? We went with an LP fired boiler simply because nobody always has the time to cut and pack wood. Also, if you're going to pour aprons, make them as big as you can afford to. You won't regret that either.

I know that the temperature where you are can get low when the snow falls (I live in Melbourne Australia where no snow falls) and I know that for many years you have suffered so much in the cold working on projects in terrible weather conditions, so I feel so much for you over those years. I cannot wait to see the ends of the shop enclosed and the floor heating finished so you can work in the shop in conditions that are sooooo much better than you have had before.
