Thank you so much! We look forward to our live demos every month; it's such a fun way to learn from different artists about what they know and love in the art world!
Hi! I love all these videos and have been going back to some older ones. Were you by chance able to get ahold of his color palette? Super intrigued by all he fits into the art toolkit :). Thanks!
Hello! Thank you so much for watching, and we hope you enjoyed the demo. Thainlin just recently shared a trip with us! In his recent blog post on our site, there is a list of his palette colors and pictures of his supplies! You can check it out here: arttoolkit.com/blog/2024/12/travel-sketching-in-japan/
Yes, please find out the brands of ink for his fountain pens. I'm having a lot of trouble with clogs and drying up in my Safari pens and wonder if he is using Artemis ink or carbon ink. It has to be waterproof and that's the issue.
Very insightful and inspiring - thanks Maria and Thainlin - I'm thinking about urban sketching in singapore but I think I will melt haha!
Thank you for tuning in! A hat and some cool water will do wonders! Happy travels and happy sketching!
I love the travel sketches, Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for following along!
I just love the accordion picture of Wat Pho. These drawings back some nice memories for me of some special trips!
Isn't that one incredible! Panorama sketches are so fun to look at, and paint!
So glad to catch the replay. Love all of your guest artists!

with the Travelers Notebook, how do you keep the page flat while sketching?
Any mini binder clip should do. Traveler's Company has some lovely brass clips available on their website!
What kind of ink is in his ink waterbrush & is it diluted?
Thainlin mentions De Atramentis ink, which can be found on our website! He did not mention the ink being diluted.
