Thanks Dolphine for the coverage, my heart goes out to the affected, but most of the issues are caused by people building on reperian land, the county government also has the responsibility of enforcing this laws, unfortunately the Nairobi governor and the government don't care less about it people they are busy looting. What a shame. Watching from the UK 🇬🇧
The kenya they don't show you because of failed leadership. Sakaja needs to walk the same way you are ! Dolphin good job being on the ground and highlighting the plight of our fellow brethren. Epidemics because of flooding will occur and proactive measures need to be taken. God bless you sis!
What's anoing and diverstating is the government ordering its citizenry to move to "higher grounds".. Where are these higher grounds?? 😡😡😡👺👺👺.. In short Kenyans are on their own.. Only God can come through for them through well wishers..

While a few people are stealing billions of cash on a daily basis. Africa is not poor. It's the cruelty of the leaders. This area was supposed to be totally cleared like 20 years ago, and proper houses should have been built with proper sewage system and proper infrastructure. And building this kind of structures should be abolished. Si Raila wanted to build houses in Mathare and Kibera with Kibaki back in 2002 and these people refused and claimed they won't be able to afford modern houses? Ama watu warudi mashambani bwana, kila mmoja hapo yuko na kwao ushagoo.

How come majority of people living in slums are from western part of kenya.why migrates from rural homes to slums government should help them return back to their rural homes..
I feel depress when I see shanties houses, it is a common disease across black africa countries. Its true the flood happened but looking at the shanty hoses people live in, I begin to ask what is the duty of these useless black africa leaders if they cant provide decent accommodation for the people who put them in power. Few millions of dollars can transform this horrible environ these poor and helpless live in. May God provide for the helpless.
Disgusting can’t even watch. You might blame the leaders but this people at this community have chosen to live that kind of live..it can be a slum/ghetto but clean and organized.
