God damn this is such a good tune!!! The production, the pop, the depth...put a tuba and a baritone sax, couple 'bones, rock band in tow--a live version with brass low-end would kill this song, but not an iota more than Julian's original. Them Liverpudlians sure know how to make an original THE penultimate version.
