if you’re doing multiple special attackers the absolute best place post game is the tiny pool area in the Resort Area. the only thing that spawns r Golduck which give 2 Sp. Atk EVs. 2 is great cuz 2+8(Power Lens) = 10. it means u can keep track of everyones EVs really easy cuz of the rounded number. the 100% chance of Golduck doesnt hurt either. If anyone has any similar method for other stats id like to hear it please. currently looking for a good post game vs seeker that gives only speed EVs
There is a money grinding strat that gives you 250 thousand dollars in around 10 minutes, meaning you can max out a stat with vitamins with only 20 minutes of grinding money. 26 of any vitamin adds up to about 500k

Hey Verlisify, awesome video! Quick question, does BDSP follow in SwSh's footsteps of capping the EVs per stat at 252? I remember (vaguely) back in the day where we can only feed a Pokemon 25 bottles of a particular vitamin and then get the other 2 EVs "the old-fashioned way" so that we'll have the default 252-252-4 instead of 255-255. I haven't done this in a *LONG* time and I just wanted to make sure. I dabbled a bit in Shield but life got in the way. Thank you!
I like to go to the bridge to the left of Eterna city there’s a trainer on the bridge that has six magikarps. Very good for getting speed EVs. The two other trainers have goldeen/seaking (atk EVs) and more magikarps. For special atk I like to go to the grand underground and fight ghastly and ralts for a chance at shinies.
I am currently using berries to lower my starter’s stats and I plan on feeding it vitamins. Do i have to level it up more so the EV’s are applied like in the previous gen 4 games. Is it like gen 5 where I can just move the pokemon out of my party and the EV’s will update automatically without leveling?!
It's insane, ive actually got pokerus on my nuzlocke account. I put it on a switch account without Nintendo online (because I want to build a nice save file on my main account). No clue who got it, but all of a sudden my whole team had it and the pokemon center alerted me of it. I'll trade an infected pokemon with a friend soon that can trade it back to my main switch account. From there I can hook you guys up!

Question for everyone! Does every pokemon in your party receive the EVs from battle? Like you use your first pokemon to knock out a 1 Att Ev pokemon, the whole party gets it?
I think so because I intentionally tried to ko only the pokemon with the right evs for my pokemon, but it seems that my other pokemon who don't battle get the evs anyway. Since that is the case, ev training is worthless until you can access both the nursery and get third badge in Veilstone City. At least you can produce a pokemon by spending tons of poke dollars on producing a correct EV (not IV pokemon) during the main story with the vitamins brought in the department story.
The WHOLE party DOES gain the EVs, but if only the lead/involved in the battle pokemon is holding a power item, ONLY that pokemon gets the +8 EV boost in addition to whatever your target yields. All mon in the party NOT holding a power item will still get Evs, but only from what the battled pokemon yields!
Sorry I'm still a little confused about power items, let me know if I understand this correctly. All 6 pokemon in the party will receive the same EVs from KO or capturing a wild pokemon, but only the pokemon holding the corresponding power item gains the extra 8 EVs? Also is it 8 or 9 EVs that are gained from the power items?
So if I hatch a pokémon with the correct nature and with good IVs and i'm super rich I can just buy 26 of each vitamin i want to have maxed and 13 of another vitamin then they will be totally maxed out?
Is the Chance for reaching higher pokeradar chain really that low? I was using the pokeradar a few days ago to get a Ditto for breeding. The chance to get a chain of 100+ is supposed to be around 0.07%, but after i got my chain to 40 the chain never broke, which made it possible for me to get a 5IV ditto. So now i was wondering if i spent my entire resorvoir of luck or if the chain doesnt break after reaching a specific length.
I think if you need both attack and speed you should do the presented methods and also grind cash against the Raichu and gyrados tag team battle multi task a bit also if you have a high level Mon with mold breaker or neutralizing gas it speeds up the defense ev grinding a little bit
Thanks for this video. I've been growing the Berries to null out the BAD evs, but when training I'll catch pokemon at times or run across a random trainer I didn't beat yet. So my nanny will beat the trainer and give my team bad EVs. (cuz I bulk train the team) How do I figure out the Bad EVs so I wont over feed the berries. I got around 12 of each so far, but no Defense berries yet. Also thanks for the Pokerus tip. I got one as my first trade and forgot what Pokerus does.. lol... Fortunately he's been in the box is still has Poke Rona virus. 🤣
too bad it's more work to train competitive pokemon compared to how it is in sword and shield, I can't wait until pokemon home is ready for BDSP. Most of the gen 4 pokemon I want to use I have already trained up since ORAS and USUM. @@taylorusedtoxic You can actually consider starting another save file on a new profile on your Switch, and find a way to trade between your save files. HOME worked like that for SWSH, though that is a little while until, so maybe we just have to focus on other parts of the games for the time being, like gaining IVs and breeding competitive Pokemon. I for one will play through Pokémon Shining Pearl in Japanese sometime in the future for Dittos :)

Would it not be worth buying one of each Power Item and Vitamin and just duping them. Say if you have rare high IV pokemon or shinies, dupe them whilst holding one of the items and you're getting more bang for your buck
He is highly against duping, cloning or game manipulation. But yes, that would be the best bang for your buck because you only buy them once at that point, there are also guided out there which show you how to do it

It depends on the pokemon. Lets say a glass cannon, like garchomp You'd want max attack and speed evs to compliment its high attack and speed, and you can find out its stats if you look it up. You want to train evs to what compliments its good stats.
So, i've only now discovered that the forced exp share will reward your entire party with an EV even if they didn't participate in the battle... That's a little annoying.
There is right now something of a glitch but in shiny hunting if you have a catch chain of 100, the 100th pokemon will have at least 5 IVs perfect. So its possible it is not cheated?

If ur vitamin says it has no effect its cuz the stat you are trying to put it into is already maxed out or more likely your pokemon has already gained the maximum amount of evs (310) so you need to reset their evs by feeding the specific berry for each stat

Pro tip use a Pokémon with mold breaker as the Pokémon you use for ev training your other mons m, so you can bypass abilities like sturdy
No Guard, Illuminate, Arena Trap increase encounter rate, probably saves more time overall not having to spend as much time running.

That’s correct. I think it’s 1/2 base, plus 8 extra, with Pokerus it’s more, I think it’s 12 based on Sword & Shield though
