i can relate with everythink u said
1 - Anki and Vocab: Its hard for me as well, card tend to be on "learning" for 2 or 3 days till i see then on imersion... Maybe because we know 2 language, ur brain already have a a system to learn words by imersion
2- Morthman: I think the morthmans problem is because he assume you know the word because you saw it, morphman should tag the words by mature (at least give the option to)

Great job Marius, for someone who has english as their second language to take on Japanese using english resources, I'm sure you've come far. Have confidence in your own ability, I'm sure you know more than you think you do.

Thank you! Having to use English to find resources for anything is something that I have done for over 10 years, so that was not an issue. I hope I didn't come across as too negative about my own abilities, I really think I have come far in 6 months. But as I said, it's hard to not notice how much you don't understand. We actually had a chat about progress videos in the voice channel of MattVsJapans discord, it was pretty fun. Everyone thinks they suck, but that the method is really great. Saying "It's been 6 months, and I still suck balls, but MIA is great I'm just going to keep going!" doesn't really sell the method that well. I tried to not come across like that, but it seems like that is exactly what I did :D

    Slice of life recommendations?

Oh man, there's so many. Non Non Biyori is of course my favourite. Yuru Camp is great. The first thing I watched when I started learning Japanese was K-on, which I have since watched 2 more times.A Place Further than the Universe is not really that slice of lifey, but still one of my all time favourites.
I've gone through so many SoL that I enjoyed at this point so I'll just make a list.
Kiniro Mosaic, Flying Witch, Yuyushiki, Yuru Yuri, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san, Gabriel Dropout, Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita, Comic Girls, Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?, Hidamari Sketch, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon
