What I love about this quest is, that you don't get LS or DS point no matter the outcome. This really proves, that this quest was meant to be a morally diffcult (for me at least)
P.S. I absolutely love the voice-acting of prosecutor! His resentment is great

Actually, if you find the recording of Sunry killing Elassa and promise him not to reveal it to anyone, you get DS points.
@@chrisdelgado4621I didn't know that! That's something new. But again, it is because of hiding evidence and lying. And you can do the same, without promising him anything and you will get away with it. Interesting

You get dark side points if you confront Sunry with the evidence and agree to hide it.

About time that this sidequest from Knights of the Old Republic was shown in full. This one should also be a favorite among Transformers and Metal Gear fans. Why? Most Transformers fans will recognize Sunry's voice because he's voiced by Megatron's iconic voice actor Frank Welker himself. Metal Gear fans, on the other hand, would enjoy getting the Sith prosecutor mad because he was voiced by Liquid Snake's voice actor Cam Clarke.
Regarding this sidequest, I, too, had difficulty proving Sunry innocent until several reloads later. Now I wonder how this would be recreated if the KOTOR remake ever becomes a reality.

I guess it depends on what you consider the "BEST OUTCOME". Saving the Republics image, or reaching the truth no matter if it makes your side look bad.
Thanks for documenting this quest in full, I never managed to absolve Sunry and wondered for more than a decade how you would do that. Does the outcome of the trial actually affect the amount of XP you receive?

Me too. It was pretty hypocritical of the republic but I think that’s what makes It so great. It isn’t black vs white, both sides are shades of grey
I see it as a necessary evil to help the Republic against the Sith in Manaan. Had this trial been _truly_ impartial with Sunry's incarceration only affecting Sunry with no effects on the Republic's export of kolto the right thing would have been to send him to jail period. Since that wasn't the case the only "moral" choice is to let him go free so that the Republic won't suffer damages in their war effort against the Sith.

I don't really consider this the best option. Even Jolee doesn't approve of the outcome. I just tell them about the video evidence from the start.
It’s the best outcome if your light side and align yourself with the Republic. What you do is what everybody else does? Nothing interesting about that.
I've just bought both KotOR soundtrack CDs and I'll be ripping them to FLAC and hosting them on Soulseek for as long as I live - just FYI!
