I know this is a very weird and kinda obvious question but can you do a video on how to use watercolour? Because I've seen so many people doing it different ways and I'm so confused 😭
from my vast knowledge (ive literally never used watercolor before) i think there's no correct or wrong way to do it. if it gets pigment on the paper, you're doing it right
dip your brush in water, dip your brush in the watercolor, and paint. add more water if you want a lighter color, add less water for a more intense color. also you want to work in layers, from the lightest to the darkest
Thing about art, and not just watercolors, is that there are very few rules for different mediums so it's hard to really say how you should paint, especially with each and every artists different techniques and art styles we aim for. I suggest that you find a general guide to watercolors before you make your art more of your style
@@z3lith Yes that is how I do it but I was wondering if I were doing it wrong as I have seen many other ways been done. But thank you everyone who helped me now I understand more!

And the THIRD way, how I use them is with a wet brush, I get pigment directly off the lead of the pencil and THEN add it to the palette much like you would dipping your brush into a pan. You get more saturated color this way.
There is also a third! Taking a wet brush directly to the top of the pencil and then applying it to the paper! This works best for when the paper is already wet and you don’t want the line from the pencil permanently in the piece 😁
