Our homstead has hundreds of projects going on, but we have to strike while the iron is hot. Dry weather means we are able to start on the dirt work for our shop, and as usual, it won’t like any other.

My wife and I are in the process of buying land, and then will begin the monumental task of building a home on it with our own hands. This channel has been a big inspiration for us, we're even thinking of doing a TH-cam channel to document the journey. Ya'll keep doing what you're doing, we're watching and learning.

Yup! I know the feeling about having a spoiled cat. A couple years ago I brought home a kitten from my brother-in-laws farm and it was suppose to be for my wife. Instead it is attached to me like glue and spoiled beyond anything.... and I love it.
You my as well give in Jim. I have never been a cat person, now we have one that comes in every morning and sits in my lap while I have my coffee.😊

Nothing quite like a garden-fresh tomato sandwich! I grew up on them. As a twist, try adding a few rippled potato chips inside the sandwich just before eating and press it down a bit. 👍

I used a cyclone fence gate with broken concrete on top to level my yard after dirt was brought in, son in law jut got a new four wheeler, he had a blast pulling the fence, he didn't get the yard level but sure had fun making doughnuts.

I also did that, took my Mom to the tangipohoa river on Mothers day some years back. My friend and I were bass fishing, he caught one and I helped to land it, but when i went to reel in, I had one caught too and didnt even know it, best fish fry on the river bank ever, my Mom love it

I tried to make a comment about the nutria but it didn’t make it through, censored. And all I said was hunting and trapping them and eating them and some one didn’t like what I had to say 😂 I’m 63 and I haven’t done any of that sense I was 14 years old oh I did say something about my friend and his family being Cajun and learning a lot from them. I will be shocked if this makes it through! To get the rocks and chunks out of yard after spreading dirt I use a 6’ piece of hurricane fence and piece of 4x6 timber and dragged it around with my riding mower. Works great !

I like tomato with red onion cut up and mixed then add your salt and pepper with dash of olive oil and another dash of red wine vinegar, some smoked sausage, hard cheese and crusty bread, yummy.

Oh boy tomato sandwich that's exactly what I grew up with you should do the same thing with a cucumber it's delicious. You make a cucumber sandwich exactly the same way you made that tomato sandwich the only way to eat it.. salt, pepper and mayo yummy.

I love tomato sandwiches like you make yours but I don’t cut into bite size pieces. AND I use only pink Himalayan sea salt! Pink salt has tons more minerals and way less sodium. Get Redmond salt made in USA (Utah or Idaho). It has much more flavor that just the bite of white salt. Very healthy!
