Of all the restoration videos I watch, the absolute best and coolest are the ones that take garbage, junk nobody wants, and turns them into pieces that anyone would be proud to own. This one is amazing!! Love your work. Keep them coming!!
Wow. I had a pair of these on my bike when I was kid. I drove everyone mad. When I started to watch the video I thought ....no way. You made the impossible possible👍
Great video Martin. Wow what a difference, i remember having a brand new one when i was a kid. All the kids in the street would want to press the button and the battery would be spent in no time lol. Battery technology was crap in them days, always leaking that's probably what happened to the body of the one you restored. Cheers, Jeff.
Every video I'm still amazed how you bring things back to life. As the saying goes one man's junk is another man's treasure and seeing treasure come back to life is amazing.
Tough one this time Martin. There really was only two ways to fix this one, Cut new metal and weld it in, or body filler like you did. But since this doesn't receive any harsh usage, either works fine. Interesting seeing how you did this one. Thumbs Up!
Great job all along the way, when you sprayed the powder coat, I assumed it would be a durable black finish. What a surprise when it had a time in the oven to reveal an almost chrome shine, very well done!
Christmas Day 19_never_mind. First proper two-wheel cycle (Raleigh fitted with Sturmey-Archer 3 speed gears). Dad trotting behind 6 year old boy, steady hand on the back of the seat until he mastered balancing, Pifco horn (headquarters in nearby Manchester), a luxury extra, along with the dynamo rubbing on the wheel to power a front lamp. RIP Dad.
WOW!!! I thought it was hopeless, all of those holes in the metal, but leave it to you to figure out what to do. Great restoration RH. Thanks for posting.
Wow Martin you never cease to amaze me that was one fantastic restoration i would say one of the toughest restorations yet and you pulled it off with flying colours a joy to watch 👍👍👍👍
Great job! Great save and idea on that rotted out cover. Never would have thought of that. Which is why I'm not making these videos and you are. Really enjoy the ambient background sir.
Terrific job on the restoration. I did get a big smile when you operated the horn. It sounded as weak as I remember from my childhood days. LOL They did look really good on the old bicycle though. Dave.
I had the 1970s Square design on my bicycle, I really enjoyed that summer when my dad bought me an old bike and sprayed it a colour of my choice, and remember going to the bicycle shop and picking out this horn because I didn't want one of those girls bells
Eyup Martin lad, another remarkable result and like a few other (I suspect) old geezers, I too was proud to have one of these on my bike in the 1950's. One of these days, some daft bugger is going to send you a sack of rust flakes and try to get you to restore it back into a vintage mower! Best regards from that old fart in Ireland.
What can I say Mr Hax! that has to be your most challenging project to date and you pulled it of beautifully. That was most impressive, not as impressive as my mate who did the dance of the flaming arseholes in a bar in Djibouti when he was drunk, and when the military police went to arrest him he piled into them drunk and naked and later got jailed for 20 days. Never the less a cracking restoration, I'll raise a glass for you.
Just what the doctor ordered during the current madness. Martin does the seemingly impossible yet again, thanks so much for keeping us amused to the point of insanity as I sit here waiting for the men in white coats as nobody would believe me if i told them what you just did :)
What a genuinly awsome toy to hawe, i realy love the design of that thing! I had no doubts whatsoever that You where the right man to fix it up! Cheers! From a grey, could Scandinavia!
Martin This horn looks amazing mate I remember having one of these batteries horns on my bike when I was a nine year old child button on the left hand side of the handle bars my late father bought for me when he also bought me a chopper bike u could restore one of those mate massive seller those bikes were Phil in stoke
Of all the restoration videos I watch, the absolute best and coolest are the ones that take garbage, junk nobody wants, and turns them into pieces that anyone would be proud to own. This one is amazing!! Love your work. Keep them coming!!

That was impressive. I would never have been brave enough to sandblast the bottom half of that . It was so far gone! Great job!
Thanks 👍
Brilliant job
Wow. I had a pair of these on my bike when I was kid. I drove everyone mad.
When I started to watch the video I thought ....no way. You made the impossible possible👍
Fantastic job!
Thank you very much!
Ican respect the amount of work that went into that bike horn. Now I want to see the rest of the vintage bike get done up.
That was a maze job you dun there on that 1960 horn. 👍 👍
Excellent! I had one of those on my first proper bike in the 1960s.
Great Job Martin. Really impressed by the chrome powder coat 👌
Glad you like it
You could have used hot glue to finish the project after 17:30 and I still would have hit the like button. That outer shell looks amazing!
Beautiful job Mart.
Baz.
Glad you enjoyed it
I had one and have to admit, I fast forwarded to hear it work and bring back the memories . I did go back and watch the whole thing though lol
Man, whoever had this bell on their bicycle was one cool cat!!!
Lovely job Martin ! Another piece of yesteryear brought back to life from the brink 👏
Glad you enjoyed it

Excellent job! I want to find one for my old bike now.
Great video Martin. Wow what a difference, i remember having a brand new one when i was a kid. All the kids in the street would want to press the button and the battery would be spent in no time lol. Cheers, Jeff.
That's exactly what happened with mine on my scooter. Stopped working eventually and my dad couldn't fix it. Cheers!
Yes Jeff, they were poor back then
55 years later and batteries are just as bad especially the cheap ones that come out of China
Nice job.

That's your best work yet martin. Sharon will want one on her pimped up lawn mower if she saw that.
Great job all along the way, when you sprayed the powder coat, I assumed it would be a durable black finish. What a surprise when it had a time in the oven to reveal an almost chrome shine, very well done!

Glad you enjoyed it
Nicely done, sir. This was every school boys dream accessory, the sonic sound maker. Makes your bike the one to follow.
That's amazing Martin.
I'm amazed at the patience you had to do something so fiddly, I really didn't think this one would make it
Nor did I lol
Had one in my younger days remember that sound well ,another great restore

Evaporust or MC-51 in an ultrasonic cleaner tank seems to work really well.
Nice wrk brother
