BEST video for someone over 60 I've seen yet. Nothing left unanswered, or assumed. Good stuff. All I need now...is a good Mill-Bastard to "file down my teeth again".
Great video and much appreciated. I'm new to crypto and the Nano S Plus is my first cold wallet. Everything went as planned with one exception. I use coinbase and sent myself all of the Stellar that I had (free stuff from watching videos). I got it without issue into Ledger Live. Sent $2.00 back and it went into the either. Probably because I did something wrong but I can't determine what that was. I did it again and everything worked as expected. Again great video and very well presented. Lots of reviews of the Nano S Plus out there but couldn't find one that actually showed me how to use it.
It may have been a typo in your memo field or a missing memo field. Depositing Coins like XLM & XRP on exchanges require a memo field. Very tedious, but important.
5 star video! Great job! PS: if your new device seems to not be working its the provided USBC cable. I find the port to be too big for the device and it won't connect. Just use your own USBC cables and you will be golden.
If you buy the ledger OTG KIT it comes in three different wire cables to connect to any devices, like android, iPhone, laptop or desktop. That's how you can use the Ledger Nano S Plus on any device. But if you only buy the Ledger Nano S Plus it comes with a cable only for android. Any Ledger Nano wallet you buy it comes with a cable only capable for Android. That's why it's great to buy the Ledger OTG Kit and have all three wire cables to connect to any devices you want and not be limited. I have both Ledger Nano X and Ledger Nano S Plus and I use them on different devices like my Android, IPhone, MacBook Pro, Windows laptop and desktop. I use the Ledger OTG Kit wire cables to connect to all the different devices I have. That's why I recommend everyone who buys a Ledger Nano wallet to always buy the Ledger Nano OTG Kit too.
I have an android with usbc connection, don't have a computer. If I buy the nano s plus should I grab the OTG kit? Or does it come with a usbc to usbc cable? Or should I just go with the nano x?

Not really. Most people consider things that they find it hard to wrap their head around high security risks. When, in reality, the attack vector of Bluetooth with a crypto hardware wallet is very small. We're talking about someone dedicated attempting to intercept your Bluetooth communications? First of all, it's very unlikely that someone is going to even know what you're doing. Even more unlikely that some sort of crypto hacker is going to be following you around waiting for you to pull out your device and use Bluetooth. And even if someone is trying to "sniff" your Bluetooth signal, the messages being sent back and forth are encrypted. Intercepting them would not do them any good. They are also cryptographically formatted with hashes so that even if someone were to try to somehow replace their address as a destination, the hashes wouldn't match and the transaction would fail.
Great video. Thank you so much. A question: Approximately how long does is take when you send from exchange to appear in wallet? Minutes, hours, days? thanks again.
Usually minutes. Some times longer. (sometimes hours) A lot of time it can hit the exchange within minutes but it is not tradable yet. For example in Coinbase you can check your Bitcoin account for pending transfers. Bitcoin generally takes longer (go figure) Ethereum, Polygon, Solana etc. transfer much quicker.
Very good video Crypto Dad. After the FTX debacle/Ponzi Scam I've started researching hard physical wallets. Ledger Nano S Plus looks like a very good choice for me. (: (:
You can choose to use your ledger nano X with your smartphone only. The only problem is you cannot upgrade the firmware using the phone. You need a computer.
I really appreciate your efforts! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
very clear instruction thanks . I bought the x and plus for back up and to have the latest versions. I have an older regular nano, I was thinking of wiping it and giving it to a friend sounded like that was possible, could he put his own password and keys in?
Yes, you can do that. If you reset the device (by entering the pin incorrectly three time, on in the control center), it will revert to factory settings and you can set the device up as new.
Thanks for help setting this too small gadget up. Why so small and a cord that doesn’t reach my tower, so need to go buy another cord. Wish I had spent money on a different kind.

Hi Mr cryptodad, I need your help I already have my ledger nano s installed on my computer, do I need to go thru all the process to install my new ledger nano S plus?
How come now that I install the new ledger s plus all my balances from my ledger s, are showing up on my ledger s plus? What is that mean? Means that my ledger s, is not good any more?

The CryptoDad you got the like and subscribe! after watching many videos how to setup the nano s plus you are the only youtuber who did such an amazing job detailing the setup process. Thank you.
Thank you very much for such great informing video. Is changing 24 phrase with 24 new ones possible once in a while ? If yes, would you please explain it. Best Regards.
There is no way to change your 24 word seed phrase. Once you have a wallet based on a seed phrase, it's permanent. The only thing you can do if you wish to switch is create a brand new wallet with a new 24 word seed phrase and then manually transfer everything over. But there's no way to change the seed phrase on an existing wallet.

Meaning multiple ETH apps and BTC apps on live, one from my old nano s and then one for my plus? Then transfer my nano s eth to my nano plus eth app? Hope this isn’t to confusing. Thanks
