- Auburn Football has dropped their 4th game of the 2025 season. While no one reasonably expected the Tigers to win in Athens there were some moments during the game where missed opportunities raised questions about communication and expectations on offense. Who is to blame?
There is absolutely no reason to continue to play Thorne. He is not any good and does not contribute to the future of our team. I have not watched a snap since he was taken off the bench. I can handle ten interceptions a game with a freshman than watching another snap with him wasting the season.

That 4th and 1 play perfectly encapsulates Thorne. That was even before I knew that he changed the play. He overthinks and won't commit. He doesn't have a winning mentality
PT makes poor decisions and caves under pressure. He is 5th yr senior. He has lost 3 games so why do we feel like we have better chance to win with PT? I'll take my chances with gun slinger HB. He can make quick reads and gets the ball out quick. Build the system around HB, and get him experience. At least this way, we will truly know what we have by end of season on QB. Playing PT gives us zero and more ways than 1.
If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Mike G the one that said to the effect that Peyton wasn't allowed to make checks under the OC last year? Are we seeing why now?

I think CDubb’s train of thought; you can overpower the opposition and win with a superior running game ( Auburn’s past forte), but everyone wanted a high scoring powerhouse like Bama, so an attempt to reproduce that is what has led to the Freeze hire. Funny thing is, I just think Saban would have traded all the flashy yards gained in the passing game in a heartbeat for a team that could just dominate everyone from the ground game. Winning is a mentality, and it makes no damn difference how you to it, to winners. Peace ✌🏻
What confuses the fk outta me is that we all know PT cant make a good decision unless it's practice, and yet mike and cdub are wondering why we can't execute. It's because PT sucks. And yes, chf has culpability for continuing to play him

Man yall all gotta chill out. This program was so bad off that Freeze might as well had started a new team. It's ok to be anxious about the direction but you cannot recruit kids to a dumpster fire that yall are portraying this program to be. They believe in the vision but it takes time. Yall need to scratch all the fire Freeze talk until year 4. I expect a HUGE jump next year, but if he's not competing for the playoffs in year 4, then you need to talk about him being the right fit.

We had good solid game plan vs Oklahoma. Outside of that 4th and goal. Arkansas Game plan was good too. So we do have good game plans

I can understand it being a rebuild without it being about lack of talent. CHF says they have talent. Just need more depth of talent. @@Chazydau Sure you can. It’s not all or nothing. Just because you could use better talent doesn’t mean it’s a rebuild. You just have to add to what you have and continue to get better. Those ideas aren’t mutually exclusive.

Many are wondering why didn’t Freeze get a quarterback out of the portal like Vanderbilt did.

We’re sitting at 2-4 because Freeze thought we could win games with Payton Thorne.
It’s an insult to remain with Payton as the starter and pull Hank out the game after only two quarters because he threw an interception.
Compare that with the numerous interceptions Payton has thrown and indecisive play action game in and game out.
Let’s put Hank back in as the starting quarterback and see how the team responds.

Agree Payton isn't the answer, but I can understand Freeze knew we were more than a QB away from the playoffs, so decided not to over pay this year. It may cost him his job, but he will need to bring in a stud next year and win immediately while Walker and Deuce develop if he wants to keep his job.

I think they come out of the break different QB heavier run game and we get 4 wins. I think Thorne and his clear issues with the offense are glaring and i think the locker room is letting you know that.
When was the last time we had a QB throw for 200 yards in Athens? That play may have been a PT problem but we lost vs. Georgia because we don't have the dudes on the O-Line, linebackers etc.

When you have a great running back, that kind of play was entirely unnecessary and shifted the momentum of the game. He should never have had any option except to give it to Hunter. Basic football.

I enjoy the show but you guys sound like Bammers today. I’m all for better game plans but to my knowledge there is no play call that will make my left tackle be able to block his man better. He simply isn’t good enough to do it and it continually showed up the whole game. It’s kinda apparent we don’t have anyone better right now. You guys never want to blame players that are extremely well paid. It’s not the game we all grew up with. Yeah coaches are making mistakes and QB has been a huge problem. But if those recivers are so good that left why aren’t they being stars somewhere else?? It gets old hearing it’s all on coaches. Some of it definitely is but players make plays and right now we are still lacking PLAY MAKERS. Stop with the constant terrible game plan idea. Could it be better, of course. But how about putting blame where it’s deserved. Players not making plays.
I don't think the players being paid should be brought up in any conversation about this, considering the coaches get paid WAY more.
However, the players do need to be accountable, even if they were not being paid, at all.
I think we talk about players plenty on this channel.

Excellent point. Next year will be year 1 of Freeze working with his new portal QB. The year after that will be year 1 of Freeze working with one of the QBs he actually recruited from HS. So when you think about it, Hugh Freeze really can't be held responsible for QB failures until 2027 at the earliest.
