well done. I have been using the KM100 for close to a year now and it is a very formidable piece of equipment for any locksmith. For European cars, it is good to have the Autel IM508/608 with the XP400 pro and the GBOX-2/3.
Thanks for your honest review and going over the challenges that you had with the KM100. I've had mine for 2 months, and I'm just starting to become familiar with it. It's a quality machine but a lot to learn on it.
Congrats on the Autel! I've got one, too. CLK locksmith supply sells pliers specifically made to deal with switchblade key roll pins. Also comes with a container of several different roll pins. Thanks!
I was watching a video about a key programming unit like this. One thing that really got my attention, was when the mechanic mentioned a particular bug that was known for Hondas. He wasn't using the model you have here, so not sure if it makes a difference. Anyway, as he progresses through each step answering questions. The last question ask if the key machine software is updated with the latest version. If you choose yes, whether you do have the latest update or not, it bricks the ECM! A few mechanics made some videos about this and they think it's just a glitch in the software. It's worth checking in to. Cheers
Could this program Porsche Cayenne old style? I have keys already even a clone if that is possible would copying the chip with this work or to a super chip or even better would this get the password out of kessy to get in to add keys properly. Any information would be very appreciated before I order one looking at a few options but if this would work would be great. I’m looking to do a number of vehicles on top or if go with just a piwis
Thank you very much for the video. I have a question: if you are doing an operation to add keys, if you are not able to do it for some reason, can you damage something? Or does it simply not modify anything in the car? Thank you.
@@madvillemotorsportsTNThank you very much, I'm afraid of damaging the instrument panel by trying to do this... in my case, an Audi A3 from 2007, by the way, is it mandatory to use a dealer key? There is a step that asks for this. What I do need is to extract the PIN code with another device (SuperVag K+Can Commander 2.0), since the KM100 can't do it. I suppose that if I give the corresponding PIN to the KM100, I could carry out the process, right? Thanks again.
@@marcosfernandez9895 yes as long as you have the PIN’s etc you can do that but some require a master key or code It’s hard to mess it up but it is a possibility but you should be able to code it successfully.
@@madvillemotorsportsTN Hello again, sorry for my ignorance, we have an original Audi A3 key, which works. We want to add another key that we bought, with the corresponding chip, the blade is cut, the key turns correctly even in the switch. With my Autel km100, if I have the PIN (engine or dashboard or real estate), can't I just add it without making a "dealer key"? It has the option, the km100 asks you if you want to do it. The big concern is, if when we try to do it, we can damage something or leave the car without any key. :-(. I hope you understand me.. thank you very much for your patience
@ yes you can just add another key that’s the easiest way to add extra keys. Typically if you don’t have a key programmed is when you need a master key
have the Autel KM100, but when I go into Hot Functions, Lost All Keys or Add A Key it can't communicate with the ECU. I am connected to the Internet, it is connected using the usb-c cable. But it won't communicate with the ecu. Any ideas?
