    Hey Tatro, do you still have that m8 balancer you said you guys were going to be leaving out in this build? I could really use that bad, I got a blown up m8 some metal ran thru that backlash elimination gear and the stationary gear on it and now it’s bent over so slightly and causes a tight spot when trying to spin the engine over. Let me know if you’d let go of it and have time to ship it I can drop you some $…thanks bro

      i don't need seriver bulletins. i can tell that crap when i put things togethere. its called, paying attention to the details. that is why some mechanics motors run better and last longer while useing the same parts as the other guy.

    Has Harley ever made anything that isn't crap or junk? I've been interested in owning one for a long time but videos like these reinforce the reputation that Harley has earned over the decades. Back in the day everyone said "Buy a Harley, buy the best, ride a mile, walk the rest." I guess nothing has changed. I'll stick to my metric cruiser I guess.

    • @TatroMachine
      @TatroMachine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      harleys are like an old truck. they will take a ton of abuse and keep going no matter what. this leaves lots of room for improvements to make it what you want it to be. harleys makes changes over decades so you have a very large parts mix to play with to make it your own. it is very hard to beat that with anyother manufacture.
      tatro

    • @fatotis6273
      @fatotis6273 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harley makes a good product overall. But if you modify it you will be asking for trouble with the newer twin cam and M8 models. Leave it stock and it will be fine, despite the cheap short cuts and cost cutting measures shown here. Modern manufacturing does put any thought into rebuilding. It is a throw away world. I don't like it but that is the way it is, cars, trucks, motorcycles, what ever. This engine had aftermarket performance parts installed, engine life was shortened. If you like hot rodding your engine, modifying it yourself, trying new ways, get an evo.
