*****Look,YES, I know there is a screaming lady in this video. That’s established from the very beginning. Taylor Swift walked through our front door the day after Christmas. She’s excited, get over it and don’t be a jerk about it****
Taylor Swift gave my grandpa a "Christmas Miracle" (copyright Robert Frye) and crashed our family Christmas. Here is her surprise entrance and musical number, plus a little of their initial conversation. Plus a few other cool things.

The reason I posted this video is to show you all Taylor Swift from our perspective. I did not do this for any type of notoriety or fame or whatever... I did this because I think it highlights the wonderful person Ms. Taylor Swift truly is...
The only impression we have of stars is what we see in the media and our interpretation of their social media accounts. IMO, that is a cruel and unfair way to judge a person. I have been fortunate enough in my life to come across a few celebrities and one thing I have learned is you cannot judge them until you experience them in person. It takes about 6 seconds to form a first impression.
Taylor Swift proved herself to be someone of very high integrity and character. She did not draw attention to herself when she entered the room, no "Hey look it's me, Taylor Swift"... She seemed flattered and appreciative from our thunderous cheering. She smiled and even appeared to blush a bit.... She even seemed humbled from our welcome. She never tried to direct the flow of the gathering, she simply said, "I can do whatever you all want, I am just happy to be here with you."
Her parents were there, they became part of the crowd, it was easy to see where she gets it from.. They were wonderful, friendly and just as humbled by us as we were by them.
She wanted to walk around the room, meet everybody and take pictures with us. She was very attentive to Popo, which was the reason she came in the first place. She ate fudge, She hung her coat on the kitchen table, she toured the house, she smiled, laughed and seemed genuinely interested in every single person there. If it weren't for the fact that she was Taylor Freaking Swift, we would have thought she was a friend stopping by to say hello.
IMO, Taylor Swift is a very down to earth young woman who faces intense scrutiny and judgement because of who she is. Everybody has two sides to them, a professional side and a personal side. We only see her professional side... WE..were fortunate enough to see her personal side and I can tell you one thing... She is a wonderful young lady who took time away from her family at Christmas to bring happiness to a family when they needed it the most.
She made our Popo happy, which made his family happy. We know there is no way to repay her for what she did, all we can do is be grateful she entered our lives for one hour on a Monday afternoon and made us forget, for just a moment, how tough the past year was.... something for which we will forever be grateful. - บันเทิง
This girl gets paid millions to perform these songs and here she is, giving a very personal impromptu concert for a vet and his family; how wonderful.
So this is the world famous Taylor Swift. 2016 was her year, she was the highest earning celebrity on the planet with 170.000.000$, she was the #1 recording and touring artist worldwide with 1989. She was also the leading music artist in digital history by sold singles, the queen of the billboard music awards and just got a two digit number of grammys (first female to ever win 2 album grammys). This girl could enter this event like a god, showing each and every person that she is above them or playing the diva card. I know many female artists who have done so.
But not with Taylor. She enters the room calm and with a smile on her face. She doesnt set herself in the middle, she does everything make it the moment for the world war veteran and his wife. She is not annoyed by the screaming people, hugs them, respects them 100% and is so polite and eloquent. I love how she interacts with the young kids, so beautiful. She represents her family he best way possible in these moments, they can be really proud of her. Taylor is such a wonderful human being in so many aspects. I will be for ever a Swiftie.

Not sure why this just popped on my feed today, but man. There's a few of Taylor's songs I've enjoyed but wouldn't call myself a diehard fan. To see a 96 yr old wwii vet that is a huge fan (which is awesone) get a surprise like that, is just too much. Really made my day as I'm heading in to work. Props to your grandpa for his service and so great to see him get something like this, even late in life. And props to Taylor for taking the time to pop in on Christmas with her own family and do this. Seems like she was just as happy to be there as the rest of the fam.
Some artists charge thousands of dollars for meet and greet, and then there's Taylor............

She is unbelievable and so generous and genuine with her fans. I mean who does what she is doing? No one I know of. A superstar like her showing up and doing a private little concert for her fan? WOW, just so impressed with her, her honesty and her genuine love of her fans. Getting to really really like her and her music.

Just found this and it has me in tears. No one had to know about this, this seems so private. This video is just a video that had less than 150,000 views- she didn't do this for any reason other than to make you guys happy. To make your grandpa happy. Your family singing with her really gives me all the feels. This is why I love her. And with this, I can also see how wonderful your family is. Brought so much daylight to my heart 💕

The description made me cry. The way you're describing how we can only judge celebrities when we've met them in person because we only see their professionnal side not their personal side, so true. Taylor's personal side is even more beautiful. She once commented my instagram post at night thanking me for loving her music, calling me sweet and telling me she loves my profile pic and stuff. I had 15 followers so she wasn't for sure seeking attention 😂 just wanted to be nice with a fan. Then I spent one hour with her at her M&G in 2015 and I will never forget it. She was the one who was hugging me, she was calling me babe and calling me cute and making me feel welcomed. I have social anxiety like I can't even talk to my boss without being stressed and I felt zero stress talking to her bc of how sweet and down to heart she is. Of course she does some good things for her image but some comes from her heart of gold simply with no intention of seeking attention from the media. She did offer a lift to a young fan who had no lift to go back to his hotel, it was 1 AM so pretty late to walk the streets of Toronto alone. Someone from her team drove the fan there. And the media never heard about it bc Taylor, the fan and I never talked about it (I heard them talk). I also asked for a follow on my Tumblr and she memorized my url and followed me right after, she did not forget to do it, and she's been liking 30 of my posts and she commented on 3. She is the most loyal celebrity to her fans. Seriously. I love her and I will forever be loyal to her.

I think having that heart of gold of hers is the reason why she gets so much hate. People aren't used to people who don't have to act nice because they actually are nice. And kind and careing. So they think that has to be fake. When things get a little bit difficult in relationships (no matter what kind of relationship) most people will walk away. Only very few stay as if it's the most normal thing to do. And they are the ones who are left there standing and the only thing they can do is watch the other get smaler and smaler in the distance. Taylor is the one who'd never let you down. Who'd never leave you alone with your battles and fears. She might not have the easiest personality (as a lot of artists tend to do, because of the way their brains work, being more creativ...). But she'd never hurt you on perpose. And with time she has lerned to walk away if someone wants to let her fall

That the big gestures she does are on camera or she talks about it in interviews, yeah i can understand a little bit of self promo and it is good for her image.
But the gestures between her and fans is what counts. She is extremely down to earth. She invites fans to her mansions, bakes cookies and let them hold her Grammy for album of the year to take pictures. Meet and greets are for free. She has called or visited so many deadly ill fans to make a last wish come true. She invites fans for free to her concerts if Taylor sees the financial struggles of a fan. She bought many things and donated money to fans with problems. Two Norwegian girls told her at the London secret session that they had an incident in the subway with a men. Taylor organized a private drive to the airport for them. I could tell so many more heartwarming stories but that would make this comment very very long. She is a good person even if she feels down. Love her.
This is so hard to sing live, and to think she had do dance and play guitar. Wow- she hit those notes with passion and never got tired of singing just to make someone special happy! 💕
