OVER THE MOUNTAIN has been my fave O.O. song since the very first time I heard it. Same for the solo. But No Rest fir the Wicked is incredible throughout. My only critique is that I feel that if they would've spent much more time on the lyrics, maybe even a theme change, and even the solo n secondary guitar pieces...that main guitar riff with more polished songwriting could've made it HALL OF FAME-esq. A sing that could've been graded an A+ rather than the B- that I give it...and that many metal enthisiests might even give a C average. But man, what an epic album from start to finish. Kudos to Zack Wylde for ROOKIE IF THE YEAR winning the MVP-AWARD-esq guitar work on it. Just amazing.
I'm glad someone uploaded this Zakk and Ozzy fire in the sky when Zakk was the draft pick.. he's Awesome..and No rest for the wicked is a landmark album for Ozzy one of my favorites..
I was at this show! This was my 2nd Ozzy show, my 1st was at Convention Hall, Asbury Park, NJ August 15, 1981 (Blizzard of Oz Tour, Def Leppard warmed up)
No, that was Randy Piper. Randy Castillo played drums for Lita Ford on her album "Dancing' On The Edge and three Ozzy albums (The Ultimate Sin, No Rest For The Wicked and No More Tears) and two Ozzy live albums (Just Say Ozzy and Live & Loud) and the Motley Crue album New Tattoo. He did a few others two but those are the main ones.
Pretty sure this is the show that I went backstage at the Spectrum and met Ozzy (and Sharon) after the show. I have to find my old backstage passes to confirm the date. Thanks for uploading the old video!
Fire in the Sky must be a hard song for Ozzy to sing live cause I checked out a version from 2011 and he totally bombed on that one too. I thought checking out this one from 1988 when Ozzy would be 40 should be way better, but it's about the same. Zakk is good as always tho. I hate how some ppl rag on him about his style. Zakk isn't my fav Ozzy guitarist and he's not even my 2nd fav, but I respect him as a fellow axeman and respect the fact he has his own style and doesn't copy anyone else.
Concert was great. SLC, Ut. Ozzy only plays like a little over an hour. Way intense live. One of the best live performers of all time. You get your dollars worth.
@USA POWER HONOR DOMINATION Awsome man. I started plaing in 2001 when I was 15 . I herd the Master of Puppets album and I was sold! I love all the 80s metal. I just cant get into new stuff. I also liked Zakk ls playing in the 80s n 90s Its a bit too heavy sounding with too many harmonics if that makes sence...Still idolize him tho.
I remember seeing Ozzy (with Anthrax opening) 25 days later on 12/27/88 -great show. Zakk was fucking wasted, and had some issues with his gear and was cussing out his tech. Randy Castillo's solo was cool, he was a great drummer and very entertaining. Anthrax, though, were fan-fucking-tastic (they were touring for their "State of Euphoria" album at the time). They had the crowd cracking up with their goofy ass shit, but they played some serious metal, too. Good show. RIP Randy...
How did this guy, burned out and coping with a Grand Mall seizure years earlier, hit the notes every single bar? Fuckin prodigies...from the vocals to the guitar to the guys in the back setting up sound.
@@paulh2282 How do you figure he was “trying to be Randy”? Zakk had his own style from the very beginning. He had no choice but to emulate Randy to a certain degree. It came as part of agreeing to the gig, man. Although not an easy task, Zakk did an awesome job filling Randy’s shoes, in my opinion.
I will never forget them dumping buckets of water on everyone, it was some kind of thing they did for a while but it was hilarious. They were doing it to each other and anyone in range. Always wondered what that was about because Oz wasn't doing that in the Randy era.
This one took place at the Philadelphia Spectrum; I was there. I was also at the "Tower Theater" show you are referring to in 1989 (same tour; he came back around again) in Upper Darby (outskirts of Philadelphia) and was broadcast as a "pay per view" concert. A co-worker of mine taped it for me, and I still have the VHS videotape somewhere in a box at home (Heaven only knows where!)
@@DoomBunnyKiller00 Good news: I just came across a TH-cam video that appears to be the complete set for Ozzy at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby (outskirts of Philadelphia); you can pull it up under the title of "No Rest For The Wicked Live" and it's about 1 hour and 24 minutes in length. I recommend that you download it ASAP just in case it gets pulled down quickly. (I don't know if it will stay up for a good long time or get pulled down quickly.) Apparently the exact date of the show was June 4, 1989... and I can tell you firsthand it was a killer performance! First tour with Zakk Wylde, who was about 19 or 20 at the time & absolutely ON FIRE that night.
Some might argue but I think Zach was at his best on this album every riff every Melody everything he did was just badass
F+ckin right!
Agreed. He definitely peaked on NRFTW
Nope. 1992 he was perfect
Fire In the Sky is pretty much tied for my favorite Ozzy song right along with You Can't Kill Rock & Roll, and so underplayed and underrated.

When Zakk's tone and phrasing were simple and overwhelming.
I always loved fire in the sky. Strong and deep song

"Fire In The Sky" is one of my faves. Great tune. Hard to find video of Ozzy singing it live! Thanks for uploading!

Exactly what randy said
Lucky you
Give us some details about the show - could you hear the detail in Randy’s playing very well or was it a wall of noise?
This song was the reason for me to start listening rock music almost 30 years ago. I still love this song as i loved back then.
My first concert was the bark at the moon tour and he rocks just as good now!! Always had a good eye for his band!! Rip both Randy's!!
I was at this concert! It was so awesome! I can't believe it's been all these years! Can't wait to see Ozzy again in Vegas on October 13th! 🤘🏻😀

Rip Randy Castillo. . drums
I don't get it
+ScoffSlaphead72 he passed away
Justin West nah I dunno who that is

Jesus...how can anyone who calls themselves an Ozzy fan not know who Randy Castillo was?! What a damn shame...
They played this Dec 1988 @ Long Beach Arena, Long Beach, CA. It was the first time I saw Ozzy live....I was 17 yrs old. \,,/ \,,/
Vista representing 🤘
Fukn wow!! I love the Ozzy and Zack years! I do not understand why the TH-cam guitarists don't play fire in the sky.
Amazes me how many legendary bands opened for OZZY
why only 73 430 views?? this should get millions!
MUSTARDGAMING not everyone knows ozzy did these songs live. idk why when they're right here but also ozzy's 1st 2 albums are his best
Pretty sure this is the show that I went backstage at the Spectrum and met Ozzy (and Sharon) after the show. I have to find my old backstage passes to confirm the date. Thanks for uploading the old video!
Did you find it?😊
Thanks for posting. A young Zakk playing a day before Ozzy's birthday. Great band!
No rest... the best Ozzy album!!!!
I think so too.
The worst, if you put the limit in the ozzmosis album.
and the best is diary of a madman, then bark at the moon.
ultimate sin
Yeah! It´s a GREAT album, the best with Zakk.
Bernardo Giannetti I'd say more or less the order the albums came out are best to worst
That was freaking awesome, great song, I didn't know they played it live back in the day.
ben acosta wr went nuts in richfield coliseum banged so hard half my brain cells. are still gone

"The introduction to his heartache began as a child. So its no wander he grew up to be so wild"
The OZZMAN is so BAD ASS he only has to walk back and forth and lightly bang his head and still be an amazing performer. HAIL THE PRINCE!!
Does anyone have the full show? This looks awesome
Holy shit Zakk's tone is infinitely better then than now.
Classic song 88. Junior high school memories

Zakk
Original how? He was trying to be Randy
Paul H he had a different technique he played different styles and not a classical background

Zakk's solo in this piece is just a pure poetry.

Wow , that tone : fucking ridiculously wicked (pun intended)
I like. This. Songs
It took me till the 3rd verse of Miracle Man before I noticed that's Geezer up on stage on bass.
