    Personally Auggie I think this is just shoddy from Mikado who are the so called purveyors of top quality professional controllers - bad form from Mikado and completely unnecessary - they should recall them all. Thank you for the vid!

      They did recall them and give you the choice of them doing it for you or you do it yourself. The ones coming to the US have this fixed at the factory.

      Completely agreed. Absolute bull shit. Top dollar, for mediocre quality. Thank you Auggie for your video. I'm still running the original vbar touch.

      I could understand if it was a low end radio, it’s a flaw that shouldn’t of happened, Poor coming from Mikado it wasn’t picked up during design and testing

      @@MCK13666 you would of expected using the word Evolution it would of been something special a completely new design, I am convinced if it had not been for the aging chipset Mikado would still be pushing out the previous model. Great operating system in a cheap case.

      They tested for months with no issue, also passed FCC requirements and testing. So if they don’t know they don’t know?

    Many thanks Auggie for the video instruction, however I'm kinda really disappointed with Mikado, considering the cost of the transmitter. I do accept that sometimes there maybe issues and on the surface this may seem like a simple fix. On the other hand My very expensive helicopter could have been 300 feet in the air doing 160MPH and the controller could have just shorted out. but whose problem would that have been, Im really pleased that you and mikado have put something out and indeed notified us of the issue but I guess for some people it may well be to late. I really hope no one looses their expensive helicopters due to this fault.
    I will be fixing mine shortly - pardon the pun . many thanks for the great video.

    Just a suggestion when you repair your vbct evo radio use the shipping block of foam from original packaging to protect the gimbles on your new radio while you do the repair.

    I guess the quality of this transmitter doesn't match the price.....

      Quality? It’s a “spacing thing”. And it’s being rectified in fast time. The fact they’re willing to do it for you and offer the parts if wish to do it yourself is just fine.

      If you are considering buying the evo should we wait to see if there are any more fixes needed.

    Lucky you didn’t short the board with that screw that fell in always disconnect battery first or remove all screws

    Auggie how to uninstall and install rainbow cable..?..

    • @auggiecopter
      @auggiecopter  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is a securing clip that you raise and the cable slides out. When you slide it in close the clip.

    WOW the insides of these $2500 radios look like a 100 controller. Plastic gimbals, battery velcro'ed to the pcb, cheap pcb too, very low quality.
