Legit! I'm a voice actor, and just came up with this idea after finding Adobe Character Animator. A lot easier to use than After Effects, but there are definitely pros and cons. After Effects gives you a lot more versatility, Character Animator is limited but can get the job done for a simple setup like this.

An important step to follow with Studio DI-D is to select the correct aspect ratio in the beginning. The new beta version of the platform has this identified very clearly. The last thing you want to do with your output is to blow credits on the wrong size. It happened to me with an Instagram video. It came out wide.

I had someone create the design of an avatar for me and I rigged it myself, similarly like his was with adobe but with live 2d a couple of years ago. I prepped the illustration and finished rigging it in about a week, it was not difficult at all to learn and do. Now you need even less skill to make it happen, sure you can still tell when something is AI but it's advancing really freaking fast. I prefer stable diffusion over midjourney though because I'm broke...but hopefully not for much longer :')
There was a UK guy who created a similar setup with an avatar called Karen 4 weeks ago. He rushes through his video really quickly for the retention. So you have to watch his videos over and over again to pick up what he is saying and the tools. What I like about his channel he places a google doc (how-to) in his description.

Same with Eleven Labs. You will use your character usage each time you generate. Say you have 50000 characters for the month and you generate script with 2500 characters and make a mistake you want to correct. The program will use your characters again 2500 because 5000. Those programs won't let you make long form content daily to monetize a channel effectively

But for your Insights Lab shorts channel you dont use an avatar or even your own voice over or your own script. Yet you said that channel is monetized. I guess simply cutting and adding b-roll is enough there to get monetized right??

All of these TH-camrs tell you to use AI but they dont use themselves to avoid monetization issues. Makes my blood boil
