For model making you forgot your PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses and respirator mask. Don't forget Bondo type 907 and Drydex spackling to cover any mistakes or holes for your yellow or pink foam models before you primer and paint them, and Nitrile gloves when using Bondo. I also recommend blue masking tape, compass, and a variety of sandpaper. In my opinion architectural scale ruler is better than a flat metal ruler; its easier to move the ruler back and forth. For video ideas you should try doing a design competition; I would like to see your design process.
Autodesk will doubtfully stay so reasonably priced, probably why so few have made the switch. Also you forgot to mention for 3D renders and animation typically 3Ds max or blender is the go-to.
A video about the design process FROM IDEATION TO THE FINAL PRODUCT, would be nice to learn how things work, the sources available are haywire to be honest
Hello! I recently found your channel and it's pretty cool, your channel has a special and a unique ideas in every video you make. Recently I was trying to learn digital drawing and I saw your channel and fall in love with it, you inspired me so much. Thank you for the great motivation. Keep going 😍💖
Solidworks is best suit for engineering student... Other thing the perspective matter BTW cool stuff going through phole your playlist keep it up... One recommendation the coloring tutorial..
Video Idea : What you think about the other realms of design such as Graphic Design, UI/UX Design etc. P.S. I'll be starting Design School in 2 months, thanks for this awesome video.
I have a few questions if you dont mond me asking. I'm plan on going to design school after high school. 1. I have a HP Chromebook, will that work for a laptop? 2. I dont use Apple products but I have a drawing tablet, I dont know if this will work.
I would say no, but this is mostly because you can't run digital programa like InDesign and Illustrator, which will be essential, maybe not for school but definitely for designing in general
Really late on the comment but I’m really surprised you didn’t say anything about a drawing tablet, they’re really cheap and are a lot more flexible for all types of design. Aswell as just having a lot more features and support instead of a touch screen laptop or ipad
Good video, I bought the Ipad to draw, you have to try the PaperLike screensaver, it's amazing! 😉 I higly recommend it. And better than paper, a notebook with white sheets, to have all your drawings in one place and better organized!
At my university, I use Rhinocerous software to draw 3D Products. I am thinking of studying 3DsMax but as you've recommended Fusion 360 above, I think I will have a look at it. Btw, I love all your videos, they inspired me a lot. Keep up the good work 👍
Hi do you use astropad? I wonder if you use a wacom or iPad to do 3d rendering/modeling?? If so, can iPad handle it?(modeling, rednering, 4k) It's 2gb of ram only, or it depends on the mac/pc IM CONFUSED. I'm thinking of getting a iPad pro and a PC but there's only easy canvas /duetdisplay which most reviews were not that good..should I get a mac too?
is there a reason youre not a fan solidworks? maybe explaining that in a video.. we are taught solidworks in our university and the internship / jobs ive had all use solidworks. you can create some amazing stuff with surfacing and makes collaborating with engineers easier edit: good videos btw!
He thinks is old and bad because he likes apple. It's why he didn't recommend the dozens of affordable tablets to anyone and recommended... the most expensive... the ipad. The guy in the video above is a joke.
HI! I've been away for some time.... I thought you would use VRED since you prefer Autodesk. What made you get back to school btw? The last I remember was you wondering whether to formally study design or not.
im a ui ux designer , and I recommend adobe xd for visual design, or if you want to get more into animations within ui you can try envision studio. These tools are all free.
In the digital world they should make people do math are surveyor you don't need to do any math you didn't know your time tables machine does it all for you and without a human things go wrong reading your graphic designer people edit people do coding weather data assistance humans the only one can actually make a decision hopper one that is when you have morals you're fine do you agree with this I like old school and new school in together digital also like paper or cardstock let me know what you think
Sigh...here I go with another comment. Industry doesn't really use fusion 360, as hard as they try. ATM, the overwhelming program used by nearly everyone is solid works. Fusion 360 is good to dabble in and keep up to date on just in case it does take over, but using it as your sole program is just going to waste your time.
Thanks for everything in this video.. One problem though, no, you will not only need a PC for old shitty software. A PC can run all windows AND all mac programs. Apple is also 40% more expensive and has less user features and customisability, on top of having to spend a small fortune and wait weeks to get repairs.. Apple makes good products, that are overpriced and offer nothing new compared to their competitors. Hell, even the iPhone lense is developed by SONY... and is used in Sony Phones. They just gave it a cool and hip apple name to trick you. Becoming a graphic designer? Get a PC, learn how to take care of it and in the future you'll thank me for saved time, saved costs, more reliability and a faster more customised workflow.
You forgot a box of tissues for critiques
Ha! So relatable. :)

A great video as always! Although Solidworks is the industry standard for all of the jobs I’ve had... just as a heads up!
Also free for students
This is a true sad fact. I think it is slowly changing though. Autodesk products are just getting so powerful.
Autodesk will doubtfully stay so reasonably priced, probably why so few have made the switch. Also you forgot to mention for 3D renders and animation typically 3Ds max or blender is the go-to.
What about Rhino?:)
Best videos on TH-cam!!! post more vlogs they’re amazing
Thanks. :)
A video about the design process FROM IDEATION TO THE FINAL PRODUCT, would be nice to learn how things work, the sources available are haywire to be honest
Agreed.
Can you do a full "sketch to prototype" build?
I've seen an online brief generator if you have no ideas
Good idea
For digital drawing a Wacom tablet is also a good option if you already have a computer

Thanks
Yeah, if you don't like to get a job after university go ahead and learn Fusion 360 instead of Solidworks. Solid advice.
Hmmm, yeah you may actually be right about that. That was a mistake on my part.
Solidworks is best suit for engineering student... Other thing the perspective matter
BTW cool stuff going through phole your playlist keep it up...
One recommendation the coloring tutorial..
a Wacom tablet (intuos pro) is what im using for digital drawing. btw intuos is good enough for a beginner
Thank youuu so much!!!

P.S. I'll be starting Design School in 2 months, thanks for this awesome video.
Awesome. Enjoy your studies. :)
Why not using Affinity products instead of Adobe? Thanks J

@@abrilmartinez8977 What kind of laptop would you recommend?
What laptop do you use? I have lenovo yoga 6 AMD ryzen 7 4700U 16gb RAM with stylus pen, is it enough for him for design school?
How much storage would you recommend for the ipad? Would 32GB be enough to save stuff on Sketchbook?
Really late on the comment but I’m really surprised you didn’t say anything about a drawing tablet, they’re really cheap and are a lot more flexible for all types of design. Aswell as just having a lot more features and support instead of a touch screen laptop or ipad

Yas! Yeah I've heard those paperlike screen covers are pretty great. I must get one. :)
At my university, I use Rhinocerous software to draw 3D Products. I am thinking of studying 3DsMax but as you've recommended Fusion 360 above, I think I will have a look at it.

Maybe a video idea in which you explain how to get from a product idea to real life working product. Maybe even try it for your self too
That is something I would love to do and might do soon. However, that is quite a big undertaking, but we will see. :)
Love from india
Nice video have u
You ever tried using Autodesk Inventor
Not yet.
I love your videos!
What about pencils?
His video are good for real
Can you make videos on model making using cardboards
#fanfromIndia

If I'm gonna ask my mom for color pens and sheets for drawing,
She'll ask what about the color kit an' A4 bundle I bought you in your 8th grade 🤨!
😦😐😶
can you please do a review of notion and taskade?
Other than IPad, which pen tablets do you recommend (Wacom, Huion or any other brand)? Also, what software do you recommend for UI/UX Design?
im a ui ux designer , and I recommend adobe xd for visual design, or if you want to get more into animations within ui you can try envision studio. These tools are all free.
I would say Wacom is your next best bet. Also, I'm not a UX Designer, but Figma is pretty cool.
i have the wacom contiq 16, i recommend it! you can also get student discounts. it’s around the same price of an ipad pro.
Thank you so much for these tips!
Is Microsoft surface pro 4 enough for doing these? I can't afford university so I'm thinking of self learning
I think so
Why fusion 360 please explain sir for India
VRAY, AUTODESK 3DS MAX, CINEMA 4D

Do you have a poor man alternative for colour pens?
I am using CATIA in office
Pretty boy 😮 💕
You forgot the hot glue gun, its a must have tool
Oh yeah, that is a must
Do you think a student like us can prefer Apple products? U might be a rich guy
System 76 a Linux I think that's be the perfect one I can't stand Microsoft Windows
ow

But u gotta stop playing with your hair ...let’s start there
skillshare sucks. I guess it does the work. and its way cheaper than Lynda. com. but the tutorials suck. not very useful content.
