Irvine Q72 First Run

  • The first run of this engine. I use both a Master Airscrew 13x6 and APC 13x7 prop for the runs. OS #8 plug and 5% nitro fuel.

    The wait was worth it David; remember we were discussing how gorgeous engines the 72s are. Mine is of the last production, red-crankcase, silver-head ones (2006-2007 made). Indeed a run with a 14x6 APC is a must, mine adores that prop. It will be interesting to watch that video to see how an older, un-modified 72 turns the same prop I'm turning with my modified (no exhaust baffle & deletion of copper head gasket) 72. Very much looking forward to that run! Thank you very much!

    That's a real stump puller, moves those props like nothing for sure it's a long stroke.
