- We walk past homeless people everyday of our lives, without stopping to ask questions or even judging them... Well here is an opportunity to hear from a homeless man. Kingsley Amadi plays this role to perfection.Here's a bit of method acting for you. Hope you enjoy and learn something from it.
I don’t care if he is an actor.. it just hurts me so bad just to know that there are people out there that have no where to go and still finding faith, while there are people out here complaining about everything little thing..

There are people you cannot help for a variety of reasons but I always felt we should help as many as we can.
I use to work for a religious organization that collected a lot of money from private donors and other Church groups but did very little to help the poor in the community.
I heard the "I will pray for you" speech more times than I care to remember.
He seems like a sweetheart. Makes me sad. Wish I had 20 acres and could build each one a tiny home and I could be ALL their Mamas :) a society is defined by the way they treat those less fortunate the poor the handicapped and disabled and children and we are doing a really crappy job in our own country and are sending millions and Aid to other countries when we have people that need desperately need help here, it's sickening to my heart and hurts me to my soul. Just took in a friend of mine and I'm going to help her until she's able to get on her own two feet and if that day never comes that's fine too because I love her.

He might not be the orginal man who said this, but he makes you care and it takes this to make you feel for the homeless. You don't need to become homeless to feel for the homeless, you just need to have a heart, some compassion for your fellow man/woman/child!!! You can think of it this way too...Karma is a real BITCH and you might be homeless someday and no one will lend you a helping hand.

Actor or not, he’s telling the story of so many( homeless) that can’t or won’t tell their story. Kindness and compassion goes a long way, a human being is a human being. If this doesn’t touch in one way or another then I guess you shouldn’t be watching it, because we are all God’s children and it doesn’t hurt to help a fellow American if you can, that just may be were your next blessing is waiting.

We just got a story on the local news that another homeless man was found deceased in the bushes. They die alone. So sad! I would NEVER demean them by screaming" get a job!" I don't give homeless money just because I don't know if they really are homeless or if they are drug/drink addicts. One time I was in my university building I saw a homeless women begging for money and soon later she pulled out her iphone or some sort of really smart phone. Like seriously? If your homeless how would you even charge such a thing and wouldn't you sell it? And she even started putting the money in her purse when no one was looking.

Wow... I am so blessed to have a bed to sleep in, a house to live in and food to eat. I feel so sorry for him and all the other in his situasion. I wish I could help everyone. I cry for him and think of all the people who use 50 000 for a dress they use one time. It could feed so many. It is our duty to share and help each other.

I'm sorry! I lived in NY I was almost homeless. I sold all my stuff and moved down south. You have to get up and keep moving. What people dont understand is most people who are homeless have mental health issues or substance abuse issues. Instead of looking down on these people. Why doesn't our community help to put these people's lives back together! Ive heard people say look at them trash in the street. We are so quick to judge one another until we ourselves go through it. Actor or not we are all humans. Sometimes we just need that little push to understand it's gonna be ok, you have the strength to keep going and to do better for yourself!

Your foundation is a place to live. If you have the money pay your rent. Nothing should come before your rent. Not even food go to the soup kitchens or panties pay the rent. When you have no where to lie your head because neuither did Jesus, but know he goes to prepare a place for us a place not made with human hands. I am sorryso many injustices in this world. I pray. I'm "homeless"... if your not addicted to drugs and have "hustle", it's not that bad.. I sell gems and minerals, make jewelry, I do a mobile silversmith workshop... if your sleeping on park benches, your doing it wrong... If your begging , and do nothing but beg, your just making the rest of us, who choose to live a gypsy lifestyle...I don't beg, I don't fly signs, sure, people try to give me $ all the time.. I am not a charity case, I flip my case and make them a customer, show them my work.. This dude, is a bum, sorry, sure it sucks, but there are so many hardworking, honest traveling folk out there... He's not trying, go get some gear, quit being a homebum and get out and explore.. Go to a gathering, go to a festival, make palm hats on the Florida beaches.. I've been working with homeless many many years and most feel this way! They are the sick, the veterans, the displaced. They are much more and kinder and stronger than most. This is a real issue. No matter who portrays it.
Just the way life is
When I was homeless I placed two layers of tarp over a picnic table, a blanket in between, took that and hid it away where cops wouldn't see, mats beneath. Whatever makes it more comfortable and adds to durability and protection. Knock out the stubs on the underside to make space. It will be just enough to fit and sleep. Get blankets where you can and continue to add what you ate able. Then, get a government phone and EBT card, use the local food banks as needed. Aluminum cans can be used to make small fire pits for cooking, but not raw meats. Only precooked items. Get these things in place and fight back. Saw me through years in the elements, and I made it. My advice. Namasté.
The year 2015 spring I lost everything
I lost my apartment, I got evicted from my place.
My car got repo, because I wasn’t making any payments
I was working at a gas station but I was chasing a dream so I quite my job.
I didn’t have no money or noting save up, I had no rich family members to help me.. so I end up homeless I move to someone house down south but they kick me out they place because they stole from our job.
So I got fire, funny thing is the same person who fire me call me later on down the line and ask if I wanted my job back but it was way to late.. but back to the story
I end up sleeping at a Grey hound station and I had to leave a lot of my clothes behind..
I smell bad like old sweat and dirt I look bad, I wasn’t eating food I ate when I can but it wasn’t the best food to eat.
My clothes was dirty and I slept on Grey hound station floors..
i detox my body too I shave all my hairs off my body and head and throw away all my old dirty clothing. I had to shower for a hour to get the smell off me.
Fast forward I end up getting a job at McDonald’s and a car wash and fast forward again I end up getting my real estate license and now I’m a sales broker also.
I have my own place now and making good money now, I have a new car and a good career.
I end up gaining 55 pounds by eating well and hitting the gym also, I have a lot of new clothing and underwear.. I shower twice a day and get haircuts every week and wear very good cologne.
Went from wearing rags to wearing name brand clothing and suits to work.
When people look at me you wouldn’t know I use to live on the streets. I am very grateful and thankful now
And being homeless made me humble and very strong.

I'v been homeless myself before.
I HAD to leave my abusive home at Only 16 years old, ( If I hadn't , suicide was an option). No phone, no address,
It's difficult to get a job. I had a chance if I could talk with the manager face to face rather than just filling out the application and Not get to meet the manager.
And nowadays, in order to apply for a job, you have to have internet access.
Makes it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to meet with a manager, IMPOSSIBLE to get a job.
COMPASSION is the way to our future...
LUCKILY a compassionate person let me use Their address and answering machine and let me take showers to get my house cleaning business started.
I made enough money to rent a room and support myself.
That was back in the 1970s and 80s .
We All have something to give IF given a CHANCE.

Hey if you really are homeless people will always judge you no matter who you are and what your situation are because they don't know you they automatically charge you right away it's like they say don't judge the book by it's cover until you read it people are just me judgemental heartless but there's a lot of good people around 2 for me I always put myself in their shoes and think to myself people who are homeless or just less fortunate but the people who made great money good money in the business world the mindset is just that the too busy thinking about other besides themselves but let me tell you once or twice and everyone's life ship will happen nobody understands it until it happens to them

He’s too clean to be homeless? Wtf?! I was homeless and the first thing I did every morning was go into a pub that opened at 7:00am for breakfast and would get a strip wash brush ma teeth and have a shave wash ma hair Ect. Then I’d go get clean clothes if mine were dirty or go to a homeless refuge where I could shower and wash my clothes and dry them. Too clean to be really homeless. Cause the brother looks after his appearance and has self respect and a bit of self preservation he ain’t really homeless he an actor etc you talking about. Change shoes with him for a week I dare ya! Fuck that spend 2 days on the streets. See how you survive. You have to learn a whole new skill set and adapt quickly. You need street smarts fast and need to learn where you can get food and was and sleep and how to get bedding like sleeping bag and blankets. Where to sleep hidden out of sight Ect. It’s HARD VERY HARD TO SURVIVE SPECIALLY IN WINTER WHEN ITS SNOWING. SPENT just over 2 years on the streets. Lived on a roof of a shop for just over a year. Got sick of the abuse and young drunks trying to pick with us. Ignorant fools. Used to wish one day they’d be where I was. Show love and compassion not hate

I was homeless in Dallas from the July 2002 until November 2007. That's bullshit most people know why they got there and how they got there. At least 90% of them are there because of drugs or alcohol or both. Same damn reasons people start living a life of crime. There just aren't that many people who are sober-minded who become homeless or become criminals. Regardless, when I wasn't chasing the dragon or my next drink I was trying to swindle someone out of their money or steal or burglarize places. But I still joked around about my predicament. I would purposely carry around one of those little troll dolls at all times you know what I'm talkin about they got pink hair blue hair green hair. I called them GNOMES ! And anytime I met people on the street like around the city Library and they said something like it must be tough being homeless ? I'd say yes but it's tougher being GNOMELESS and I'm not that ! And I'd whip out my gnome or troll and say see, this one is named Bertha. Bertha Butt. One of the Butt sisters ! I had fun regardless of my situation. And many times just by being stupid like that I'd get some cash. The dangerous game is when one of them likes you enough to offer you a place to stay. You never know it could be a serial killer or a church-going Christian. All the ones I ever met that offered a place to stay had something in it for themselves as far as using people in con game or dangerous criminal activity they wanted done but didn't want to do it themselves. After getting burned once and almost killed another I decided sleeping outside or staying in homeless shelters wasn't that bad.
Theres a message being conveyed here , for you to look within yourself and realize what kind of person you are and how you treat others less fortunate . It is not important if hes a actor or not .

We walk past homeless people everyday of our lives, without stopping to ask questions or even judging them... Well here is an opportunity to hear from a homeless man. Kingsley Amadi plays this role to perfection.Here's a bit of method acting for you. Hope you enjoy and learn something from it.
Don't be heartless and mean because its hard to watch a down and out person bear their soul. He is letting you do a virtual walk through his suffering. These guys would jump on an opportunity to lift themselves out of homelessness. The Cities don't like the inconvenient problem of homelessness, but the truth is many cities like Seattle -- home of Amazon, Google, & Microsoft. --- created the opportunity to become homeless while advantaging the wealthiest. Take a organizationike Amazon that got a free ride, and exemptions and got wealthy who create a lot of the problems that lead to homelessness. When they don't build infrastructure like housing and don't pay for roads. etc. And the recruit people to come here it removes the affordable housing and displaces people to the street. Its common for Seattle to have a 1000 people coming a week because they heard about the high tech gd rush. However, when I tech is recruiting its common to have 10 to 30 thousand per month of people coming to Seattle, like during the peaks. I remember over night the freeways beco.ing jammed up when 90 thousand new people came here in a 3 month period. Do you think Amazon and Google had housing for them?
This gave me flashbacks of being cold homeless and alone.
