you make this game look the best it can possibly be. this build and most of your other builds are so creative and look fun as hell. wish my internet in my shitty apartment was good enough to invade but for now im perfectly content watching you, great vid saint!
I think for the other uchigatana piercing fang would be pretty good, seeing Isshin has that palm strike into thrust attack and if you squint, the start up of piercing fang is basically that attack so it would make perfect cosplay sense
The light roll is a huge boost from my experience. Poise is actually half the reason its called "too good". I use it on a Gravity "wizard" build and it gets me in and out of so many scenarios while still having the poise. Didn't know the def physik is nerfed in PVP but your Vigor is crazy for level 80. "And you know we've got that glock" Oh yes. Thanks for sharing and spending the time to make the video. Love seeing the Dragon Katana. Love vaccum slice usage. Love the bingo!
@@LaurensK90 I have a video up about it, but yeah, my endurance is retarded high because I'm using two colossals for a combo play. Its enough endurance to med roll with 1 colossal and 1 light main hand. But the Physick allows light roll with pretty much any overloaded setup you can imagine. 3 minutes of "anti-gravity"
Lmao it's funny going ten months back and realizing how far sane Ryan's sanity has deteriorated in his commentarys 😂😂 (Jk love u saint and love the wacky commentaries)
idk about waterfowl dance, if the user has a buddy to cover them it's great but if you can isolate the user you can use giant hunt on reaction to punish. I don't know if it counts as a counter hit or not but I've yet to see someone survive. Love the off hand nagi
i started to use light equip load for the large distance rolls and the amount of times iv fallen off ledges and smaller paths has increased greatly. I just look at myself when it happens now and am like "Yup it was all me"
yeah that happened to me too, and to a couple of people I've fought. if you're in a narrow space where falling off means dying, you really need to be careful in which direction you roll.
meteoric ore blade r2s are definitely one of my favourites for ichimonji overhead chops, you should try it on this build, but seeing that this is a pure dex build, it'd just be a waste fo stats. Anyways, awesome video as always, keep it up man!
I'm surprised you can't get light roll without the physik on this build. Just a couple points in endurance and great jar Arsenal and you can totally do it.
@@SoI_Badguy Right but it’s a specific cosplay build. If he thought the talisman set up he needed was more important than a crimson bubbletear or one of the damage or stat increasing physics it makes sense to just use the physic to shore up weaknesses. Admittedly this is a pretty specific use case, he’s doing regular physical damage and presumably the extra damage he’d get from another 10 points in dex is less useful to him than light rolling or extra absorption. Which I believe because absorption matters a whole lot in Elden Ring, especially in invasions where “just not getting hit” is rarely an option most of the time. Now if it were me? I’d try to mess with my stats a bit to get light roll without the physic because I don’t invade without the crimson bubbletear if I can help it.
I agree with everything you're saying about poise and light roll, however, I think one of the main reasons why light roll is considered so busted, and more critically so than poise, is due to the way latency works in this game. Seems like spacing and rollcatching go out the window even more so than they already do for this game when your opponent has light roll and high latency. Of course, the real problem there is the netcode, and of course that's not going to change, so people focus on light roll itself. I know a lot of people also have a problem with the physick, which is fair, it enables twinks at lower levels and allows full bullgoat light roll at most levels. I do appreciate its role, though, as a counterbalance to the poise meta. Unless they balance out poise a little bit by increasing values on the lighter/medium armors or whatever change one might have in mind, it seems like lightroll is a nice juxtaposition, at least for now. Definitely curious to see where they go from here with the next patch.
This is the level I've decided to make my Diablo 2 Assassin build. Gotten some interesting fights so far. I've learned there aren't many things I can parry with my Katars,so I might have to RKR them instead.
If you were willing to put some levels into INT, the meteoric ore blade has R2s that are very similar (if not identical) to Ichimonji: the Ash of War that it comes with doesn't have a Sekiro counterpart to my knowledge, but it is an option.
Excellent video as always saint_riot, he mentioned the Inner Isshin fight in the Gauntlet mode, does anyone know of any VODs of saint_riot playing Gauntlets of Strength?
I absolutely love this build as it is, but trust me, it needs BRAGGART'S ROAR CROSS-NAGINATA!! First of all, it's a roar - how are you gonna call yourself a sword saint if you don't yell some absolute tough guy shit at the top of your lungs in the middle of a fight? MY BLOOD BOILS! Second, it changes the heavy/charged attacks to lunging thrust moves that I would bet are literally upcycled Sekiro animations. Do that shit at the camera and try telling me you don't feel a primal urge to Mikiri Counter. Third, it buffs your physical damage, gives some desperately needed damage negation, and a beefy stamina regen buff. That's right, a stamina regen buff - say goodbye to hesitation. For even more damage negation, you can get Braggart's Roar and crab meat in one stop. I rest my case. Some other ideas: - Cragblade might work instead of Earthshaker as a nod to Isshin's 2nd phase transition? The rocks are a mismatch, but the movement is really similar to how he pulls the spear from the ground. It has hitboxes, and the buff has physical dmg synergy. - Thunderbolt is a good ranged option to have in the pocket. Scales great w/ DEX, and it's very on-theme. - Thunderstorm from the Stormhawk Axe would be so great if it were an Ash of War. Maybe if it gets added as a DLC AoW? Black Flame Tornado might still be the right choice anyway, idk. - Loretta's Slash is really similar to one of Isshin's moves, and the effect looks a lot like lightning... even though it's magic and scales INT... Probably a deal-breaker for this build. Another wish list DLC AoW?
Sword Saint? I only know Glock Saint. Black Flame Tornado should be on a katana, because he only does that attack in Phase 1, _before_ he has the spear, you goober. Double Slash = Ashina Cross Unsheathe = Ichimonji Ice Lightning Sword = (one of) His Lightning Attack(s) Waterfowl Dance = One Mind Vacuum Slice = Dragon Flash (Also please please _please_ upload your first attempt at this commentary, for the love of god! I will never tire of anyone rhapsodizing about how much of a badass Isshin is.)
I really love the ashes of war you chose, and the cosplay is so on point. It somehow sells the samurai type character a tad for me, and it seems really fun^ I wish I could unspoil myself of Sekiro, seems like an amazing game blind.
It took me a couple of days to beat Melania at lvl 60 with a +5 somber weapon. It was aids but i learned how to fight her well. Pros and cons i guess lmaoo shit made me mald.
Saint you ever play around with twinbird kiteshield? been using that and blue tearstone talisman and that's been allowing me to make a lot more mistakes than I could usually get away with in ganks.
Hello, I'm working on a RL 80 15/6 build what is a reasonable damage number in your opinion for something like a Rapier (Rogier's*) to be doing at this level? Just want to make sure my stats aren't spread too thin hurting my damage overall. Thanks!
The one character you can't play patiently against, for hesitation is defeat.
Hesitation is the feet

Anyone can play against his setup with just a decent amount of skill. Katanas are horrible against a good player

GG on the coinvasion, Saint! I was the other red in the Caelid invasion at 3:40.

So 50% less efficient?

As a pitiful grandson, myself, I can 100% confirm that we give up at every opportunity. Cowardice is a lifestyle that requires intense dedication.
What people have problems is not the light rolls themselves, is the combination of poise and lightrolls, that setup is kinda op
No dude people do complain about light roll
@@Hedonkeviik Yep, my view has changed, a lot. Light rolls is a mistake and a big one, it should be eliminated
