Thank you for the review! Did you try the new version? I am looking for a new wing and dont know if it would be worth getting the new version. Thinking about getting the new version in 5.8m for low winds.
Hey, unfortunately I have not tried it yet. Still waiting for a demo wing. It looks pretty sweet from what I saw but can't really tell until I tried it myself. I do like the boom option, but as far as I know the boom is not yet available. I will text Vantage tomorrow and see if I can get my hands on a demo do make a review soon. It's one of the few wings I am really looking forward to myself as I very much enjoyed (and still enjoy) Gen 1.
Hey i really like your calm and hones review of the wing. Your desitionmaking of the wings was very clear. However, i plan to switch from teaching Kiteinng to try wing foiling. i recognize the Spot ... in your Video. So i ask myself if this is your homespot ? and how many days in the year is the wind strong enough ? Looking forward to hear form you PS Kannst gerne auch auf deutsch antworten
Hey Christopher, thanks for the compliment (-: ! Would you mind to edit your comment and hide or replace the spot name?! It's not a secret and there's no localism going on, but it's a somewhat tricky spot with commercial ship lines and strong currents. Years ago we had an accident between a surfer and a ship on another spot close by and the government shut it down and made it illegal to surf there. So everyone is a little anxious about new surfer that are not familiar with the local risks. THANKS !!! And to your questions: Yes, it's my local spot and I would say we get roughly 50 - 75 days of good wind a year. Not bad and since I can walk to the beach I score most of them (-: Winging is great and opens up a whole new potential of spots. I used to travel a lot for surfing and still do, but winging and pumping made surfing far more accessible here where I live. If you need some further advice how or where to get into the sport, let me know. Cheers, Nico
