Best version I've ever heard on the net stunning, Anthony that twelve string sounds great and that fantastic use of A minor at the end seals the deal outstanding
Hi João, isn't it interesting the different things that motivate us to sing and play? I never had much luck working out R.E.M. lyrics, no Interent lyric searches back in the late 80s. I was inspired to sing by - chronologically - Neil Young, Roy Harper, early 70s David Bowie, and David McComb of The Triffids. Would like to be able to sing Richard Thompson songs because his lyrics are so dark and clever. The song I want to be able to sing most in the world is "Street Spirit (Fade Out)". A song that can still move me to tears. Boa noite, amigo!
Levin Mulder Yes, I remember having a hard time trying to figure out Michael Stipe's mumblings. Mostly I just made up noises that "sounded like" english. Fortunately now it's easy to find their lyrics.
Was just going to post the exact same sentiment sounds great on 1.25 funny feedback interference in background ruin it a little great to learn to as well two brilliant versions for the price of one and all the chords easy enough to pick up
Lovely, just lovely - Husker Du and REM the two best bands to come out of the US in the past 30+ years.
Thanks Billy. Probably agree on that. And maybe even the past 50 years.

What way are you playing that Am shape at the very end i have a feeling its a 12 string thing certainly cant replicate it on my six string
Hauntingly beautiful at this speed.. Nice sped up as well.
Ha! Well I never tried that, but I just played it at 1.25 and it sounds ok indeed. Thank you so much.

Hi Levin. Good to hear from you. R.E.M. was the first band that made me try to sing. I am glad this is one is good. Cheers!

Intro: Dadd2 then C to lead into verse.
Verse: C | Em | Gm | F | C | Cm Bb | C | C
Chorus/Outro: Am | Dadd2
Yes, that looks right, except for the Fm. I play F and I believe that's the right chord there.
Yes, F is right. Not Fm. REM sure used a lot of chords back in the day, didn't they?
They did :)
1.25x speed is perfect for the R.E.M. version
Just went to check that. Sounds good too.

Eh. Too slow.
I like it like that.
Nothing wrong with that, brother!
Play at 1.25x it’s amazing
