Just voted. I hope you make it
That's not the 5 ply one, you got a full wood one, make sure you get the Andy Anderson flight deck which will have the flight logo on the nose instead of the Powell "P" logo
Dude changes his board every month and me every year💀
Tbf I skate 3-4 hours a day 7 days a week so I get thru them pretty rapid 😭🤣
Ok
Dan please take a day to rest 😫😅
@@DanWebz Even then i feel like the average skater or even those who are still learning but can afford to spend a bit more might be able to use a board for much longer than a month, a year for a deck isn't unrealistic, bearings will go out first for most skaters and those are relatively inexpensive. I bought one but I can't skate because of a leg injury that might last my entire life so it just sits on my wall, nice decor lol.
@@DanWebz and your point is, all your doing is justifying the fact you can afford to replace decks often
Dude, that deck is the wood deck. You can tell by the color 🤦🏻♂️
Looking forward to his new shape.
Also, little tip for razor tail, put a bead of wood glue along the tail after every session, it adds a little to the deck to rub off before you hit wood each session.
It works better then you would think.
Have you ever tried metal tape on the tail? Been experimenting with that just for the sake of curiosity.
Awesome video! The first board I got myself when I got back into skating was an Andy Anderson flight deck. I loved it but I haven't been able to justify getting another because of the premium price. I've skated with tailblocks (even made a whole video about them lol) and like you said, unless you can get used to them they do feel strange and change the dynamics of the board. Love the channel!
Yeah man the price is the biggest road block for me
Ive got the same board and its a standard 7 ply. If you want the proper flight deck then you need to get the original design one with the orange and blue graphic 👍 i only found this out AFTER getting this one though
Hey! I realised it is a 7 ply but this one actually says flight deck on it?
@@DanWebz I read somewhere that they should have been actual flight decks but there was material shortages or something so had to restrict it to the main design ones rather than the alternate colours. Don't know how true that is though.....
@@brettfinaughty4192100% correct
Great review!! Getting that exact one for 79 usd on Amazon baby!!! Woohoo!!!
The shape of the board makes for the perfect street cruiser that can also flick a trey like its a small Popsicle deck.
You are skating the 7 ply maple version bruh, the flight version has a different colour pallet.
Bro it literally says flight deck on it
It would be a dream to be as good as you i really love your creative ways to do tricks! Keep it up
It isn't lighter. Stronger and thinner, yes, but not lighter. We've been precisely measuring skateboard weights. Flight decks are not light.
Well holding it next to a normal board I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt it’s considerably lighter. Also the first thing everyone says when they try my setup is “how is it so light”
I bought a flight deck expecting the same thing. When you weigh them side by side, the flight deck is not lighter. We were weighing a 8.0 flight deck vs an 8.25 element deck and a 8.25 Primitive deck, Flight was the heaviest while being smaller overall. I think the reason people interpret it as feeling lighter is because the thickness. Love your videos btw. I have video of it somewhere... will try to find it and get it uploaded. We built the 8.0 with tensor lo mag lights and ceramic bearings. @@DanWebz
We weighed everything the same day. was the same day this happened, and I was pissed, lol: th-cam.com/users/shortsEu4TSwPY5zA?si=lD3422Rg5CpD-sOC @@DanWebz
At that price I just had to install tail and nose blocks (nylon pads) on mine, deck rails too.
to make it my "daily driver"
What shoes you wearing?
thats not the flight version g that one should have been cheaper
What trucks and what size?
Get some scales. Flight Decks are heavier
I sk8 it on the nose
Dan I go to leiston skatepark I'm best friends with James son Oakley
