I have an 04.5 LLY and have the same issue with programming. I'm running Rob's tunes and love them, but had to send my ECM in also to be bench flashed. What a PITA when the truck is down for a week or so with no ECM. Because of that, I haven't changed anything on my tunes since about 2015.
Solid video bro, I had trouble with mine too. It was giving me all kinds of lights, CEL, to 4WD. I took it to Kory at PPEI to flash em in and clear the codes. It was an ATP auto cal but it was all good. This was when Kory was just starting up on his business. Keep up the good work and videos👍
Just had EFI live 5 tunes installed. Since installation my fuel gauge won’t go above 3/4 and my avg fuel is now way out. Used to read a bit lower than actual kms vs litres used now is way out. Have you or any other subscribers had this issue? If so how did you fix it?
Hello there Mark I have efi live from my brother for a 2008 6.7 Cummins. The hand piece have some tunes but I don't know how to program it. Called the time guy who sell it to my brother but I can't contact him how can I make it work truck is stock

So I have a ZF6 LLY with a Banks Six gun and I'm looking to get EFI live soon. Do all of the banks tuners lock the ECM? Would hate to dig into it and find out i need a new ECM.
On the LLY they certainly did. If you want to be 100% sure, you can get the EFi Live, plug your auto call in and try to read out the stock file. If you can't read it out yours is locked. From there you'll have to get an unlocked ECM and then flash onto that one. Also with a new ECM you have to go through a marrying process to get the truck to accept the new ECM.

I have a2005 lly and when I was trying to tune it I lost all communication with the ecm and now my pickup won’t start I would like to just send my ecm in and have someone bench flash the ecm but idk who to send it to so if someone can hook me up with someone so I can get this thing up and running again that would be greatly appreciated
I have an lb7 that had banks six gun and I wanted to efi live it and all it took for me was to unplug the banks then flash my truck. I didn't have any problems. It's weird to me that you did
I'm getting ready to dump my banks economind for PPEI, so hope I don't have any issues. If I set the Economind tuner to stock before removing it should be ok?
Quick question: If I already have tunes and I control them on an edge cs programmer, if I get a new programmer (CTS2) will I still have my tunes on the new programmer or will I have to retune it?
DJAXMAX I just find it easier to have a separate switch. It’s easier to grab a knob and twist it while driving rather then trying to hit a small button on the screen. Just personal preference!
I get that. When I had an LLY I used the CTS2 to switch tunes and liked how clean it looked. With my LBZ I have a DSP5. I had that same issue trying to flash my Idaho Rob tunes onto my LLY and ended up buying a bench harness from ATP to flash the tunes so my truck wasn’t down. Nice trucks bud.
Let me know how ppei works for your truck. It's not doin to hot with my truck. It is very sluggish when I get into throttle at around 50. It does great from 10 or 20mph. Other than that, it lugs down ..bad
Do you have the traction control off when you punch it? If it senses any slipping it will cut the power back. I haven't had a single complaint with mine.
Do not waste your money with any chip or flashing the ECU if you want to save fuel. It's simply impossible to have more power and save fuel at the same time, physics don't lie. Yes, chip and ECU flashing will definitely increase power and while drastically increasing wear and tear on the engine and the entire drivetrain causing precoce/premature failures. Just Google it.
Then ur DEFINITELY not a diesel guy! Only one reason we buy diesels bud…. And THTS to tune em and smoke guys like u out while ur driving ur little Prius back from Whole Foods! And it’s 100% a FACT tht a tuner cold air intake and straight 4” exhaust and you’ll get way btr fuel mileage!! For me throttle response is the best thing. People like u just need to stick to ur electric cars and make sure to raise ur hand 🤚 next time before speaking becuz the MEN r talking!

You need your fuel tables adjusted.
Iam confused so how can u read stock file if u already changed out ecm. Just trying to figure it out.

The actual auto cal device is all the same for all EFI live tuning. Its just a device to cary the tunes from the files to the truck.
I got a ppe tuner form ppe performance like 7 mouths ago and still can't get it to work. 500 down the drain.

The tunes are stored on the ECM. If you changed the controller interface it should not affect the tunes
