I hope this was ok? I had to rush the editing so I’m hoping I didn’t miss anything glaring!!!
Thanks again so much for this, Craig, I hope it was worth the wait!
And don’t worry too much about the audience, if they don’t like it they can watch something else. Something else will be along soon enough!

My fav melo death band 😀 And still my favorite album 😁
I discovered Be'lakor around 2010 with "From Scythe to Sceptre", and started listen to this album, and it got me hooked. I didn't love the harsh vocals in the beginning, but it growed on me, and now I think it have to be like that. I listen to Be'lakor daily, and never get tired of them 😆 All their tracks are awesome!
Thanks for the playthrough. You really seemed to enjoy it.

Be’lakor rules, best melodeath band out there. As a fellow be’lakor fan I recommend checking out the album “the frozen trail” by hollow decay. It’s a recent album and the first from the band but it really hit the spot that bands like be’lakor and insomnium do, definitely recommend checking that out, since you’re a big be’lakor fan I think you’ll appreciate it.

You should check out the album “the frozen trail” by hollow decay, recent first album from an Aussie melodeath band, found it and it really hit the spot for me as a huge be’lakor fan it scratched some of the same itch be’lakor does. Best melodeath album I’ve heard in recent months, always try to recommend it to fellow be’lakor or insomnium fans because it’s some good shit and it bums me out almost nobody has heard it. Supposedly it’s actually just 1 dude doing everything, either way it was some top tier melodeath for me and I think fans of bands like be’lakor and insomnium would also appreciate it

I'd recommend looking into the lyric videos off the "vessels" album. You get a whole new look on their songs when you can read the lyrics.
I've been listening to this band since 2009, and they've been incredible the whole time.

Countless Skies is somewhere around the pinnacle of music. JS. It was one of those things I had an immediate double take with.. I wasn't even really paying attention through the album, I tend to run music in the background especially if it is new to see if it catches my attention and every song on this album had me in. But jfc.. Countless Skies. Was like an out of body experience and you never saw it coming. That outro.. blows the mind harder than a hurricane full of nukes striking a neurological center. All of their work is pretty good.. I notice a ton of love for Of Breath And Bone, and think Stone's Reach takes a little bit of a backseat to it.. personally, I think Stone's is the better of the two. Just an IMHO thing, but it just hits so well and flexes some beautiful yet brutal versatility.
Love music. Absolutely love it, especially melodic death, but man they just killed it with this one. Few albums in general have just swept me away.. this.. Skeletonwitch's most recent album, a lot of Opeth's old work. Slaughter of the Soul. Several more, but the musicianship and story telling and themes in their work is very special.

The album after this, Of Breath and Bone, is my favourite Be'lakor album. It's got the same formula as this one but with jucier riffs and slightly better production. The first half in particular is just peak melodeath in my opinion.

Thanks, and thank you for the coffee! What is the point if you just stick to listening to the same old stuff for ever more? Not everything will be great, but as someone else said elsewhere in the comments, they’d rather have these little musical presents scattered through their lives rather than having it piled up at the start! Agreed!!! I would never have heard Be’lakor if it wasn’t for the channel, and specifically one very enthusiastic sub. Thanks dude 👍🏼

  • @---do2qd

Totally agree with the other comments here. "Fraught" from the next album, "of breath and bone" is a melodeath masterpiece. Jim, check that track out if you have a second. It's mixed a little bit better compared to this album here and it has really great musical dynamics. It also happens to be quite catchy. top notch musicanship. What's not to like?

Also see you've gone back to the usual headphones from the black ones... any particular reason? Asking as thinking of getting some new headphones...

I know it's not the same as the band themselves releasing their music as instrumentals but.. as a fan of their music I also really liked this acoustic rendition of their Ember's Arc: th-cam.com/video/v4hYj_zwXHQ/w-d-xo.html I like it also because I can show their melodic/musical side to those who can't get over the growling...

Agree that side 1 and 4 are the most enjoyable. In-between the attention starts wandering elswhere. Still, they should develop some variety with the vocals.
