I loved The Nothing Man too! I flew through it. With 56 Days, I’ve seen a lot of people not wanting to read it because we’re still going through it. Here is something to know, it will remind you of the beginning; everything going off the shelves, wiping down every delivery box you get, the emptiness of the streets, etc. but the panini is just used as a plot device to further the story. I listened to an interview with her and she talked about this, that she already had an idea for a story where two people meet, and when everything started she realized she could use that. I don’t think I’m spoiling anything, but having read the book I don’t think it’s as intense as people would think. There’s other books mentioning it that don’t talk about it in the synopsis and people thought those were too heavy, but I feel like she had to include it in the synopsis for the summary to make sense, but in turn that’s turned some people off. Her books are in the same world also which is cool. I got The Liars Girl from her recently and I’m excited to read that one. Don’t you love the idea of calling a serial killer The Nothing Man? The discussion about that in the book was so great.
You're the first Booktuber I've heard talk about The Nothing Man! Loved that book. It was a strange reading experience though because it was set where I live, like one of the places mentioned is literally 20 minutes from my house so that made reading about the serial killer even creepier for me 😅
Added some of these to my list. If you like the missing husband vibe then you should check out Goodnight Beautiful by Aimee Molloy. Very good and has a couple holy moly twists in it.
Reading that John Greene book so you don’t have nightmares 😂😂😂 but I GET IT!! I’ve been reading I’ll be gone in the dark and I’ll wake up and feel like I need to check my doors and windows 😅
I’ve got To Paradise preordered and I cannot wait! Did you know that the author is the editor-in-chief for the NYTs Style Magazine for her “real job”?? Amazing how she can do both so brilliantly.
This Thing Between Us was great! I will say that it's not very Black Mirror-esque, the technology aspect is a pretty small part of the story Yayy The Nothing Man is so good! Haven't heard super great things about 56 Days though 👀 I'm also super hyped for Reprieve and When the Reckoning Comes 🙌 Woo I've started A History of Wild Places and am really enjoying it so far!!
Not relevant to this video but if you haven’t already been aware: No Exit is getting a movie!! Sometime this year but I couldn’t find a release date or info on where it will release.
Totally unrelated but... I just finished These Silent Woods and absolutely loved it. Best book I've read this far. I loved the characters, atmosphere, and emotion. Anyone have recommendations for similar books? I'm fairly new to the book scene.

Not us both having The Thursday Murder Club on our 2022 TBR list! Lol. I’ve been meaning to get to it for so long 🤦🏾♀️
Its been on mine too but then I read some unflattering reviews and it put me off. This year I'm reading it for sure!
I ordered The Thursday Murder Club through Waterstone's Uk and I really enjoyed it!! Can't wait to read the next one in the series.
I loved the Thursday Murder Club! I underlined so many witty and funny quotes.

I’ve got To Paradise preordered and I cannot wait! Did you know that the author is the editor-in-chief for the NYTs Style Magazine for her “real job”?? Amazing how she can do both so brilliantly.

A History of Wild Places was a five star for me.

Not relevant to this video but if you haven’t already been aware: No Exit is getting a movie!! Sometime this year but I couldn’t find a release date or info on where it will release.
Excited to hear your thoughts on all these books!!!

Had never heard of The Interpreter but it sounds so good! And def recommend His & Hers by Alice Feeney ❤️
You must read the liar's girlfriend by C. Ryan Howard! Only second best to the nothing man.
Reprieve, for anyone trying to read it, don’t go into it thinking horror! Go into with a mystery vibe.
Yasssss sponsorship!!!
A BOTM SPONSORSHIP SHE'S MADE IT OMG
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on 56 days! it's never really appealed to me (bc covid reasons) but idk you were kinda selling it for me!

Unfortunately I had to dnf the Thursday murder club

I might be only person NOT to have read *A Little Life* 🤷🏻♂
Omg. 56 Days was NOT good. It also wasn't thrilling.
