I grew up in Auburn and my family camped here when I was a kid many times in the mid-late 70's, in a 15' Jayco pop-up trailer with 2 adults, three kids and a dachshund! It was known then as The Holiday Traveler RV Resort, and had basically the same layout as now. A few changes are that the bathrooms are MUCH nicer, and no second pool or cabins. Fewer, smaller trees and a blazing sun all day - a true Florida vacation. We always stayed on the east side of the property, close to the beach but not the highest dollar spots. There was no wall there or development beyond, just dunes and scrub pines and wonderful memories of chasing armadillos at twilight. Destin was just a little fishing village at the time. Dad and I would go to the local ice house to get a big 15# block for the trailer "fridge". No A/C in a pop-up trailer in July, one gear on the bike, no sunscreen, didn't seem to be a big deal at the time, summertime as a kid was the best! Thanks for the memories.
Glad to see you guys are getting to use your RV. Nice that you invite us along. Your sun rise was enjoyable to see. This morning, I watched the sunrise come across the the field, sparkling off the fresh snow fall. Snow was stuck to the tree branches making the sunlight glisten like diamonds. Not quite the same sunrise as yours, but it is the same sun.
just lovin that tough guy, superb! we're looking at another 3 weeks of lockdown here in Scotland and this video has raised our spirits.Magical scenes of the sunrise and sunset right there. You stay safe and see you on the other side
Nice camping location but as you indicated it's pretty tight. Up in the Pacific Nwet, we have some nice beach camping as well and it's our favorite type as well.
Nice KC Chiefs coffee cup! I wonder who is responsible for that. :) Looks like a nice park to spend some time in. We stayed at Navarre RV park with a spot on the water but that is on the bay and not the actual Gulf. It was still nice to wake up and sit next to the water and have coffee.
Wow Adam that is the biggest trailer park I ever saw. A few million dollars in all the coaches and travel trailers. lol But a awesome spot on the beach. Will yo be showing any video of the scraping classes?
Puttin some miles on those bikes! I love riding as well, always feels good! Speaking of riding bikes; how's the weight loss coming along? Haven't had an update on that in forever. Thanks for the video!! Beautiful place!!
Amazing campsite! Had no idea there was even something like this. Just looked up winter rate, way reasonable for being directly on the water like that. I suppose in summer you trade off some privacy when the beach gets slammed.
Not that cold in Michigan...still wearing shorts in January...and that water is WARM down there...Come on up, I'll introduce you to some freshwater diving and some ice diving...yes, it's a real thing, and yes it's a blast! :)
I loved that place. I got two other tips on fantastic rv resorts. Beverly beach Camptown resort, right on the Atlantic just north of Daytona beach. I had the same type of spot there and it was great. only difference is Beverly beach has a small seawall so you have to go down a short staircase to get on the beach. The other one is not on a beach. Ft Wilderness rv park at Disney World, hands down the best RV park I have ever been(close second is Rafter J's bar ranch in the black hills of South Dakota). Its at disney but its quiet, super well kept. spend the whole time at the rv park and be fine or take the boat to magic kingdom. watch the fireworks over the lake...it awesome.
if you rent a golf cart from the campground or bring bikes is there anywhere to park at the beach access? seems like a hell of a walk with cooler/chairs/umbrellas/etc. for people that stay near the front of the park or even in the middle.
Until seeing your videos I had no interest in seeing Florida. As I was watching you talking to the camera, I was thinking, you sure have gotten comfortable. I think I subbed when you had 30K, of course then I had to go back to the beginning and watch all the videos.
Living the dream, cold snacks with a beachfront view, it doesn't get much better than that. Thanks for taking us along. Regards from Wales UK.

Thanks for showing...a very nice RV park. I don’t own one. If I’ve ever in the area, I will rent the cabin. Did you bring your Honda motor bike?
I didn’t on that trip but I should have!
I had reservations there for last week, april12. Had to cancel then due to covid. Thanks for the review.
you got you a great spot
Is that Eastpoint Beer Tee you're wearing have anything to do with Eastpoint which is on the east side of the Apalachicola river from Apalachicola ?
Yep. Great brewery!
if you rent a golf cart from the campground or bring bikes is there anywhere to park at the beach access? seems like a hell of a walk with cooler/chairs/umbrellas/etc. for people that stay near the front of the park or even in the middle.
There was a spot you can park the golf cart right near the beach access.
How do y'all keep everything from rusting?
got all them snow birds there
Am I the only one who didn't realize at first the video transitioned from 6:45 am to a sunset and Abby sipping a Michelob lol
Adam......can all that sand on the beach be used for sandblasting? If cleaned and processed?
I don't see why not, it is in fact sand...LOL
great
He scrapping class
you didnt take the honda this time

You should have about the cost of everything.
