Honestly hes more of a goal than a demon though, they should've translated it to that instead of demon because in Japanese he's probably like a oni which has many different versions of what it could be some are demon goule ogre and more. Though demon is more will known so they probably use it because of that.
One thing a lot of people don't actually understand is douma didn't kill insukes Mom it was actually Muzan he founded by the relationship between the two and killed her in front of him. He never ate her body. Actually, he buried it because he loved her that much that is actually true.

He didn’t feel, and even after death does not feel, any love for her. He was attracted to her beauty in a ‘she’s pretty, I’ll keep her around like a decorative ornament’ way. Not a hate comment (in fact, I might have commented before lol), just idk… wanted to mention it? I guess?

Dunno most of the verses in here but, 8:21 Owari no seraph's vampires drink blood and Blue exorcist's demons eat humans.. Pretty sure of that. Not all of them, yeah, but still.
I'm aware that ONS vampires drink blood, just like all vampires do. But Douma eats human flesh, not just drinks blood. (I've read ONS manga) I'm not far enough in the Blue Exorcist manga to fully know if demons do eat humans, so I'll take your word for it.
Blood and flesh is pretty much the same, both can kill, one is more gruesome than the other but doesn't change the end all that much. About Blue exorcist, I guess they don't eat humans, which is kind of weird. Now I wonder what they feed off.
