I think console gaming is better too because of less things to go wrong because some game recommend a Nvidia card and others a AMD card that's just annoying console gaming is where it's at 😎

My unpopular opinion, Sonic 06 is fun as hell.

06 is a broken glitchy mess, but is soooo shit is fun lol
imo sonic 06 is far from the worse sonic game when there is sonic free riders for kinect and sonic boom rise of lyric.
I enjoyed it despite the glitches tbh. Then again I never really dabbled in Sonic’s story aside from unlocking Silver who I loved to play because psychokinesis is fun as fucc.

I'm a main PC player, but I love my consoles. They're two different moods, honestly. PC's feel much more technical, you sit at a PC at a desk, use a full keyboard and mouse to game. Consoles? You grab your controller, turn it on, and your games are there. They're MADE for games. PC's are made for Utility, WITH games alongside it.
There's nothing better than just putting the game in the console, turn it on, and play in the couch with a controller on a TV, PC despite all the setup changes you can do, still doesn't get that feeling
For me it's the settings. Console games I just pump in and off I go.
PC games require tweaking settings both in the game and in your pc's settings, and I absolutely hate steam and Epic's stores.
I absolutely agree. Ever since I bought a gaming PC I loved PC gaming. However I do have a Ps4 and Xbox one (mostly for exclusives) and i love playing on them. In fact, a lot of games I had on my Xbox 360 I have on my PC now, like Prototype 2.

My unpopular opinion? Undertale has the most tedious gameplay of any RPG I've ever played in my life and the moral 'choice' aspect is shallow and manipulative.

Unpopular opinion: The "new" Super Mario Bros series isn't that bad. It's actually quite fun and has a little bit of charm in my opinion.

Unpopular opinion : I think kingdom hearts concept is the most bizarre thing I mean really taking characters from a family friendly American animation studio and then putting them in a Japanese style rpg game with a confusing story

Couldn't agree more. The gameplay could very well be some of the greatest ever, but the idea turns me off to the point where I've never even bothered trying to play it.
As bizarre as it is (I definitely agree with you there), that's part of the reason I love it. I've grown up with this series so I'm kinda biased. However, I absolutely love the ridiculously convoluted plot, it gives me something to think about. The concept itself along with the plot create some interesting new additions to the story and the overall universe that most people usually can't predict, giving the players a lot of twists or unexpected pleasant surprises. The gameplay of a typical JRPG while you run through Disney and Final Fantasy-esque worlds is something that seems like it wouldn't work but is spectacular and well-executed.
In my opinion, Kingdom Hearts is one of the weirdest but one of the best crossovers ever made. I don't regret growing up with this series and never will! ❤

Console wars are fucking stupid on every possible level. I mean, since when was the fucking system that you use to play the game an insult to other people? And I play on PC and console! People are just complete assholes to people with different preferences, even when people get the same shit!
I agree. I don't really care much about the consoles themselves, I just buy the games I find interesting and have the get certain consoles for them

***** Software has pretty much always had system exclusives. Be it games, editing programs, or mobile apps. I agree with you that It sucks for the consumer. It's not as good for the developers either, since exclusivity decreases sales. Of course, deals are made to reduce the financial loss but, it still sucks for the saturation of their product. And it generates a fowl byproduct known as the console wars.

I love Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, I kinda like Sonic Riders, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and The Black Knight, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, and Sonic Lost World.
Koko Blu I'm guessing you don't like the first, the first game is a game I want to like because in my opinion it has the best soundtrack and the graphs are good but the game isn't very fun, no continues, super cheap deaths, the game always stopping you every five second, nearly unplayable difficulty. I also really like Generations its good, really good.

I've been a Caddicarus viewer for nearly 8 years, and I think he may have some self-esteem issues or something. His older stuff still holds up really well. He doesn't give himself enough credit.
@@NakedKratos I know he's quite badly depressed, which is likely a contributing factor. But indeed, his rebranded stuff is more of a refinement of his old style than a reinvention like he seems to think, although I do agree that his videos a couple years before the rebranding were getting a bit lethargic. These slightly older "seasons" on the other hand still hold up reasonably well.
I still laugh my head off at the Bratz episode with the parrot puppet.

I grew up with a Sega dreamcast with sonic adventure 1 being the first game I ever owned
so of course I'll like sonic and Sega in general, but I can see where people say they dislike sonic. Also another thing everyone talks about sonic adventure 2 and not 1, I think 1 is better than 2 and it doesn't even get the recognition it deserves.
I think I like less Sonic games than he does, and I like Sonic :P 1 & 2 and Racing & Transformed that's about it really...

I really like Sonic the Hedgehog as a character. He may be a cocky jerk, but he's a cocky jerk with a heart of gold. He doesn't play by anyone's rules but his own. And even though the stories are cheesy today. The messages the stories were trying to tell are very lovely and heartwarming(pre 2010's). And I think most of the characters have unique and amazing personalities. It's too bad Sega hasn't used them to their fullest potential recently.
Also thank god pontac and graff aren't Sonic writers anymore, because they definitely weren't helping getting rid of the stigma that Sonic is an annoying prick making one liners.

I "liked" Sonic as a character. Ever since Colors he's been nothing but an annoying prick who doesn't shut up. Lost World might have some of the worst written dialogue I've seen in a video game.

The more "mature" shit you put in your game, guns, lots of blood, sex usually the lamer does it become for me. At least if the setting is realistic. I can have fun kicking ass with Bayonetta because the things you kill look neither human or animal but show me GTA or something and it's just like "great, I can steal a car and shoot the poor feller working at 7 Eleven. It's everything I've ever dreamed of..." Golly, yeah, no, just gonna go back to DQ7 on the 3DS. Those slimes have to die.

When you seriously have your main female lead get in a life-threatening fight, then talks to the main lead about him maybe killing someone, the same guy that might be a serial killer, THEN SHE TRIES TO KISS HIM, you know you have a fucked up story and that the writer is shit. Cage is shit
I agree. I loved it. Looking back there are some plot holes, along with some cheesy dialogue. But all in all, it's a very great story. The acting can be a little horrible at times as well, but it can be overlooked.

My main issue is it's a choose-your-own-adventure murder mystery and the killer is the same each time. Wouldn't it be cool if the murderer were a different person depending on your choices?

If you don't know how to connect a controller to a PC then you do PC gaming wrong. You don't have to use a controller, but you should definitely know that you can and how to do it.

Mario Kart Wii is NOT the worst one. That would be Super Circuit.
Sonic and the Black Knight, Riders: Zero Gravity, and Heroes are good games.
Sonic Labyrinth is even worse than 06 or Boom RoL.
My favorite Zelda game is Minish Cap.
Johto was the worst Pokémon region (before you attack, HGSS are some of the series best games)
Call of Duty is fucking boring.
Brawl was better than Melee.
I think Sonic 1 was not a good game. Sonic 2 and 3&K were vastly superior.

Call of Duty being boring isn't really an unpopular opinion at this point to be honest. And I believe that everyone agrees with you about Sonic 1 being the worst of the trilogy.

THANK YOU! I never understood why most people circlejerked the Johto region so much. The cities were bland and simplistic in design, the music for said cities were forgettable, there was little to nothing that made any part of the game feel important aside from the Lighthouse, the secret Team Rocket HQs, and TR taking over the radio tower, overall the region was just Kanto 2.0.
If I wanted interesting locals and memorable music, I'll pick up and play Gen 3, 4, or even 5.
I love Pokemon but I don't like Pokemon GO

Pretty much. It's not a pokemon game, It's a walk around and look at your phone every five seconds to see if something is there game. Honestly I would like it more if they made it work better and made it feel like pokemon but it's just not.

Firstly the obvious.. The "Battling". because how the fuck does constantly tapping on the screen can be fun...
Second. The way you level pokemon... Candy.. REALLY... Why can't I bond with pokemon like in Pokemon Amie and then level them up that way.. Or how about when I BATTLE... trainers or pokemon the old fashion way.. Candy is just.. ugh.. really..
Third.. The game feels... unfinished.. No way to trade.. The awful launch with the servers constantly crashing.. and of course missing features...
Fourth... The fans... oh god the fans... They are so fucking obnoxious... Mainly little kids who either have no clue about pokemon or hackers..

Fifth... Last but certainly not least... It's kinda boring...

ZetaNiGHT I have to agree. Just like most people in the world are assholes, most gamers are assholes who want to boost their ego by being "mlg pro" and WILL rub every kill in your face. I don't consider myself a part of any fanbase but I'd rather join a community like Undertale (that I feel is pretty overhated tbh) than any fps one.
BIG MAK Yeah... and it sucks because I DO like those games; Doom and Halo are both really fun in their own right IMO, it's just irritating that so few people are good sports about it ahaha... (I don't know if I'd say 'most', because I've met some cool people, but... yeah)

Christian Harford I think I can answer this one: no need for anti-aliasing (a lot of options, some not that good, others too expensive and time consuming) and edges looks crispy as it can get. Also, a good majority of old games on PC looks incredibly beautiful in 4K, even on emulators (God of War 2 in 4k in insane, search it).

Funny enough my favorite Sonic characters is Metal Sonic, and him being mute other than generic robot sounds is one point of appeal to me with him, and I usually get pretty excited whenever he's playable, even in spin offs like the Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing/Team Sonic Racing games.
That and idk I like a number of villain characters and robots... hell I started playing Crunch in CTR:NF because I thought "hey cool robot arm and robot skin."

My unpopular opinion: Pokemon red and blue are terrible glitchy incomplete games that are over hyped and not the best the series has to offer.
I really don't see what other people see in that game, other than its simplicity. Only having to worry about 150 Pokemon and no day/night cycle are the only "good" things I can say about it.

You are doing it wrong, people. Here is how it is done:
As my icon may imply, I seriously do not see Shadow the Hedgehog being THAT bad of a game to the point it gets compared with Sonic '06. It is far from perfect and definitely a jump from the norm, but, like... *that is the point.* It was even marketed to be a different type of game, so why are people pissed off that it is different..? It literally does what it promises: to be a different "Sonic" game. That is why "Sonic" is not even in the title. Mario spin-off titles do the exact same. I saw no temper tantrums thrown when Super Princess Peach was released because "it's not a Mario game" and it plays differently.
And yes, the game has a lot of flaws, but so do many more popular games, so that takes nothing away from it. All in all, I enjoyed its replay value and different story arcs. I more or less got what I expected after seeing the way it was marketed, so... no, it did not disappoint me. It *did* annoy me with some recurring glitches it had, though. Those are not defendable. But, again, it does not even get near the levels of Sonic '06 on glitches and bugs, so comparing these 2 seems very stupid to me.
All of that applies the same way to Batman and, to a good degree, Devil May Cry games. And do not get me started with Reaper from Overwatch. "Edgy" =/= automatically bad. People really need to drop that fallacy already.
The game is mediocre due to bad execution, not because of the theming chosen for it.

1. Zack is cooler than Cloud.
2. The 1st generation of Pokémon is the worst gen. A lot of the 1st gen mons like Jynx, Mr. Mime, Exeggcute, Electrode, Porygon, Weepinbel, Dugtrio, Lickitung, Seaking, and Tangela are just as poorly designed as the worst 5th and 6th gen mons. Also, there are a bunch of mons who are just normal animals like Krabby, Seel, Butterfree, Raticate, Venomoth, Zubat, and Ekans which is pretty lame. Kanto is also a very boring and bland region to explore.
3. Sports games are fun, if you don't buy them every year like some idiotic people do. I usually buy sports games every 3-4 years.
4. I don't like MMOs or MOBAs.
5. I like playing GTA games for the story and missions, not the free roam.
6. Mortal Kombat's fatalities are stupid and gimmicky.
7. Bethesda games are still fun without mods.
8. Kingdom Hearts 2's opening isn't that bad. KH1's opening is way more boring and tedious to me.
9. Valve should NOT make Half-Life 3.
10. Mass Effect 3's ending was decent.

I prefer subbed over dubbed, but for reasons other than the popular: I just think anything is stilted when I'm hearing a language the footage wasn't made for. Doesn't matter how good the dub is, it'll always sound goofier to me.
Michelle Lehto you realize that the Japanese version is a dub too? The animation is only vaugely fit to the language, if at all.
More than to the English language. Look at it this way: Anime is made for the fast-spoken and to-the-point nature of the oriental language family. English is very different; it's slower and more colorful. Anime's crisp, sharp animation and art style (not to mention things like its pacing and over-exaggeration) tends to clash with the complexity and flow of the English language. It's an audio/visual disconnect for me. Does that make sense?
I prefer watching dub anime too, mostly because it's usually what I see first. Here's my unpopular opinion, which relates to yours - I prefer calling anime characters by their dub names.

There are upsides and downsides to doing brain surgery with a chainsaw over a scalpel but one is significantly more likely to leave you a bloody mutilated corpse.
I think E.T. gets all the hate it does because it was a catalyst for the crash, not because it caused the crash itself. As you said Caddy, plenty of crappy games on the same system, let alone other competing systems of the time. And lack of information pre-purchase added to the headaches for consumers

1. Skyward Sword is one of my favorite games of all time.
2. I love The Subspace Emissary, and I have no problem with The Great Maze.
3. I just don't like fighting games period, aside from Smash Bros. I don't find them interesting or fun.
4. I don't like RPGs. I want to play them for their story, but every time I try, I find myself quitting because the gameplay and mechanics just aren't enjoyable for me.
5. (Probably the most controversial:) I hate heavily story-driven games where you can majorly affect the story. I want to experience a pre-written narrative with well-designed characters, not a fucking Choose Your Own Adventure book. There are instances where I enjoy a game where you pave your own story, and nonlinearity can often be fantastic, but most incorporations of butterfly effect are a huge turn-off for me.

I'd say it's really not that unusual to dislike some genres of games. For some games that are popular, they are loved also for being good in their genre (Final Fantasy to RPGs, street fighter to fighting games), and liking every genre of games is probably uncommon. It would just mean it would make sense to not like its games, although there can still be exceptions.
And the contradictory one is mainstream FPS games (think call of duty): really popular to like AND dislike!

Yeah, The Great Maze was never that annoying to navigate. The area wasn't that big. I cleared it in like 1 and a half hour. And if you miss a door, there is a map that tells you where they are.

Tryo The Pyro 3. I hate games that are too difficult. It really ruins the experience for me. Yes I love difficulty, and getting through a challenge can be satisfying. But I would rather have a choice in difficulty than have a ball-crushingly hard game that is only hard for the sake of being hard.
6. WAAAY too many people are saying Fallout 4 sucked and it was a bad game. But it wasn't, at all. Yes, the dialogue was a major step down from other Bethesda games. Yes, it's still using the same shitty and broken engine every single other bethesda game of the current millennium. But it still is a great game. It had a good story, great visuals, and awesome gameplay. And what if you were just disappointed with the game? that has no excuse either. You shouldn't overhype a game, it's unhealthy and will only lead to a negative reaction. When people say this game is "bad", they most likely don't know what a truley "bad" game is.

Just curious passerby here, but what do you mean when you say they were tying to hard to make the characters likable? I felt tat the characters were often tropy and did try to appeal to certain groups. Howver i never felt like I was force to like the characters, in fact i straight up hated some of the main cast as i played through it but i could still appreciate the roles they played
I don't fault them for trying to diversify characters and trying to be inclusive, since that just reeks of Gamergatia and just no thank you. It really came down to gameplay, although Arwingmaster is on to something, though I had the same problem with Breaking Bad and just about anything on the CW.

I didn't really find OoT boring and empty myself, but it's not near my favourite game either. Personally, I reveer it for being the first step into 3D zelda games. Being good enough that Nintendo decided to experiment more with the idea, creating Majora's mask (Which I never played, but I still love it) and eventually all the way up to Wind Waker, which is my favourite to boot. So I like OoT more for what it did, than what it is.
I mean it's not bad I was just very disappointed bee everyone is saying how it's the greatest game ever made. In my opinion it's Super Mario Galaxy or SSB4 or SSBM

Unpopular Opinion: I don't want Super Mario Galaxy 3 to be a thing. I feel two games is enough & I rather see Nintendo come up with new ideas for each 3D Mario installments instead of constantly relying on sequels of past games. Also doesn't help that Galaxy 2 felt way too similar to the first game, despite the new power ups, yoshi & a few new gameplay mechanics, so making a third game would just be redundant. Mario Odyssey all the way.
Here's my super unpopular gaming opinion. I think the Uncharted games are mediocre. They are repetitive bland cover shooters. Also the first main level in the second game is a terrible stealth section. I thought the story and characters were great but the gameplay just isn't very good
I also don't get the hype for Ocarina of Time. I think it's a great game but I also don't understand the love for it. I guess it's mostly because the kids playing it were ten or twelve and for them they connected to Link and they saw themselves as him.
Also Sonic Unleashed is great. yeah the werehog levels are kind of bland but they aren't bad and the daytime levels are sooooo good
Also Vita is great if you like indies and obscure JRPGs.
I've never had a problem with my actual ps2. I've had the same slim for over 10 years now. The only problem is that I've gone through like 3 or 4 corrupted memory cards and a couple controlers. They controler wires always seemed to break and the memory cards kept corrupting. I lost my almost 100% completed Kingdom Hearts 2 and I was soo mad
ET also isn't that bad so I agree. It is very ambitious for the time and isn't that bad.
If I remember right, the reason why ET was such a catastrophy was because of how gamebreaking some of the very frequent bugs were, not because it looked like... well, that.

Well OoT is pretty much the most influential 3D Action-Adventure ever made...while simultaneously being the first one. That's quite amazing if you ask me. And OoT still holds up incredibly well to this date, despite having aged a bit.
I have to agree with the finger cutting in Heavy Rain. I was so in shock from how well it was done that it disgusted me to tears. I felt so bad...

How the hell do people afford good PCs anyway? They cost upwards of $1000 for ones good enough to run shit, whereas consoles only cost an average of $300.
They build them themselves.
The parts don't really cost as much as just buying a PC pre-made.
you can build a console smasher type pc for 400-600 pretty easy, i build pcs as a job so i can confirm that. yes i build a lot of 1300$+ systems, mines 2700$ but i specialize in high end. I do plenty of budget systems for gamers who want to get away from the shackles of consoles or who want to get a pc for a little sibling. my little sisters pc is around 475$ and it plays the latest titles at 1080p 60fps. i5 quad core cpu, 8gb ram and a gtx 960. plays overwatch really well too but that due in part to overwatch being amazingly optimized even for entry level systems. as i tell my clients, the pc is only as much as you make it to be. also free online cheaper games, infinite backwards compatibility with emulators(snes is my fav), infinite controller compatibility(dont listen to caddi, the ds4windows program for ds4 controllers works with no glitches for me and the other 47 people ive installed it for. now with consoles you buy games at retail so thats 60$ a pop, most new releases on pc you can get for 40$ish. 60$ for online play, 60$ a controller, most really good mice are around 40$, custom game settings, mods to enhance your experience or fuck around, the list goes on. but trust me most people dont have 1000$ PCs. the average price is 700$. some of us just go hard in the paint lol. so no consoles arent only 300$, you have to include the nickel and dime bullshit they get you with, PC is much less expensive over the course of 2 years than consoles
you can get a windows key for like 10$ and if youre really on a budget a tv works just fine which everyone owns already so.....
good graphics card £140, 16gb memory £70, good motherboard and processor bundle £180, power supply £80 hard drive £40 case £40, thats £550, admittedly more expensive than a console but games are cheaper, mouse and keyboard is far cheaper than controllers as well as monitors and dont get me started on the games but you want to play consoles i get it, they got advantages

I dont like leaving people misinformed, thus why i build PCs as a job. i get to inform my clients.
My unpopular opinions:
Skyrim is very overrated and not even close to the best game ever or even the best game Bethesda has done.
Sonic Unleashed, while plagued with some problems, was actually pretty fun for how ridiculous the story was.
I have tried so many times, but i just can't get into both the Resident Evil franchise and the Metal Gear Solid francise. Only RE game i enjoyed was 7 Biohazard.
Super Mario Sunshine is the best Mario game since Mario Bros 3. ( haven't played Galaxy yet so)
AC 2 is NOT the best Assassin's Creed. Brotherhood is. It felt a lot more open and wider in scope than II.
Consoles are easier to play than pc.
For the last one, I can agree with you for everything other than aiming and (for mostly just mmo games) i feel like there aren't enough buttons to execute all of the abilities

I'm not sure how popular or unpopular this is but to me the wii had the best home screen. I love that you could drag and drop icons wherever you wanted them to sort the home screen in a way that made sense to you. I also like the animations that play in an attempt to entice you towards it. It felt like you had your whole library on display for easy access.
