Retro Carry Handle scope at Brownells. I have a Colt Sporter II, an early model which is a mix of A1 and A2 parts. I love that gun and have never thought about throwing on a scope, until now. That upgraded scope is definiitely interesting. Great vid!
I was the first or second rotation to shoot the ACOG on Parris Island in 2013, I remember our logbooks and a lot of the instructional material still referred to iron sights. I was and still am slightly miffed I was never taught Irons. I'm building a Colt 601 so I can get back to rifle fundamentals while also scratching my retro and iron sight itches. I really don't want to have more than one full length rifle taking up space but I will admit it's tempting to build an A2
Nice build. Looks good. Just did an A4 clone a couple months ago with the aero lower and upper. The form factor is awesome, but I like the handguard so maybe an A2 would have been better. Also just got the Taurus 856 you recommended a couple years ago 😁.
that quad rail on the A4 is just super heavy for what it is and I dont even run anything on it, so whats the point 99% of the time right? it just looks nice
Nice build! The closest thing I have is my A4 build, but I use a detachable carry handle, so it’s similar. I used a Del-Ton upper and Anderson lower, so it’s quite ‘budget,’ but for whatever reason, maybe luck, it’s my most accurate build. I’ve taken it out to 400, and gotten about a 6” group (it’s in one of my videos, but again, maybe the universe was with me that day!).
Nice one. You made it into what you wanted for performance, clonish class. Good job.

I’m hoping that SCOTUS can overturn the NY State/Illinois AR ban. I’d love to have an A2. I really enjoy your videos!👍👍

@@shazarad4127 Yeah, in retrospect that's what I'm thinking.
Could always try one of those goose neck mounts with a Meprolight, Aimpoint or Trijicon red dot to get that late 00s look.
oh yeah! I forgot those existed
I might give that a try, just to see what it was like

Your accuracy is quite good. Your parts combo was a good choice for a dependable long life civilian use rifle. What profile barrel did you go with?
