A Few Good Men: An amazingly good, down-to-earth documentary on male teachers and gender issues

Heart-warming and politically hard-hitting this television documentary is a must watch.
Since 2006 the percentage of male teachers has risen in NZ from 1 to 2% - thanks to media interest and the efforts of those interviewed in the video and others. But at the political level there has not yet been any real commitment shown to address issues of gender equity in the early childhood education sector as has happened for women in previously male dominated occupations.
TVNZ have kindly given Dr Sarah Alexander (permission to share this documentary).
It is being shared on our OECE TH-cam channel in memory of early childhood teacher and dear friend Adam Buckingham who sadly passed away on 1 Feb 2015, at the age of 49, after rapid onset of cancer.
