      I’m guessing if you can’t track stand pretty well then none of the other stuff is gonna feel great. I’m trying to just work on the track stand for now

      @@EM-nl6sg agree. The most basic is track stand. I'm still figuring out too.

    I have been watching a lot of trials videos and this one has been the best at visually demonstrated what is needed to accomplish the move. The integration of various camera views, post-edits of lines, and great narrations/descriptions all make me feel more confident in what maneuvers I need to work on to progress in my biking skills. Thanks so much for the video!

    I learned most trials basics from BMX. Trials and Street/flatland BMX traded kind of learned from each other....Hans Rey was featured in BMX magazine in the 80's, hopping on to a huge stack of pallets, immediately his moves became part of street riding.....hoping to give trials a go again this spring, it'll be interesting to see how many of these skills I've lost.

      Trials is kinda demanding on the lower back. Maybe some extra exercise can get those muscles up to the job and help against the pain.

  • @MrAstose
    @MrAstose 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi! Loved the video, however I'm struggling with some things.
    Right now I own a 27.5" hardtail mtb (I'll buy street trial bike in the future) and I'm struggling with adjusting the rear wheel position or trying to jump in place in order to turn around.
    The way I do it is, if I want to turn left:
    1. Left foot in the back
    2. Right foot in the front
    3. I start with turning my body towards left while also applying pressure to the pedals in order to make a jump
    4. I release both brakes for the jump
    5. The force from my body turning starts turning the bike
    6. I use the rear foot (left one) in order to turn the back even further using pedal grip
    7. Once I land, I hit brakes and proceed from step 1.
    Currently, I'm able to do around 30 degrees turn per jump, however since I have an 27.5" hardtail mtb, my lowet saddle position ends up around the middle of my inner thigh, which sometimes makes me hit the saddle during step 6. Is there any way to prevent this? Should I replace the saddle for more comfy one or should I grab it with my thighs (heard people do something like that on bmx, during bar spin, but they have very wide saddles).
    Thanks for answers!
