    First time seeing this. Didn't have instructions. I need to take the sensors out of the track. Also didn't know I needed to plug in the sensors after the power cord. I've been having issues with the sensors, not advancing the roll.

      Not sure what you mean here. Yes, I wish it had instructions as well but then again that’s what this video is for :)

      Right but they dint exactly include with the unit you don’t find till after you have issues.

    Thank you for the video, very helpful. I just got mine in the mail and it came with no instructions so this is helps. One thing it did come with was a little note with the sensors to install with the tip facing upwards. Not sure if this makes a difference though

    Been using the V2 with the optical sensors since august and haven’t had a single complaint!! I had a couple issues with the V1 but only cause a float switch went bad on two occasions. Love my Platinum 39

    Awesome. I’d like to get one for my custom sump. Hope they sell their fleece rollers separately. Fingers crossed.
    Cheers and Happy 2023!

      Same too you! I think it could be used as a DIY somehow if you are good with measuring.

    Your video was good and it helped me get everything installed and running. Can you help me with determining what pin goes to what port (upper lower and rear sensor) I’m not familiar with these sensors since my old unit had the plunger set up. Also programming to turn on or off the motor

    the original motor had 3 sensors. the video really just shows two being installed. I do not have an Apex system. where on the motor are the two sensors installed? Specifically, the sensor for activating the roller should be plugged into Main? The high water sensors into 2 and 3? Also, are the sensors pointed up or down? thanks very much for assistance.

    Loved the video would have taken me a lot longer to set up without your video. Wondering thou main sensor goes where in sump and sensor 2 water level in front, yes? Sensor 3. I also have a Neptune sensor for high sump level. Thank again

      SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG. I must have not had notifications turned on! I did it a little different. I put the Apex sensor high in the basket. I put the single Main sensor below it where the water line is to move the mat. Then I put another sensor at the return side just to kill the mat from moving when the sump level gets high. Hope this helps!

      I’ll probably do a short on it. Probably won’t take long to do when I have time to do it.

    is that whole situation same in dimensions with old box? i have pretty tight tolerances from plumbing the reefer to the trigger.

      I’m not sure what you are asking?

    • @beginagainben6276

      I got it. It was same vertical dimensions of control box. I hard plumbed my pipe to run almost flush with the top of the old control box. So same dimensions worked perfect. Loving the upgrade

    What is the power supply. I'm totally thinking about a DIY in my old somatic sump.

    • @ReefAndReptileAutomation
      @ReefAndReptileAutomation  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you do the DIY, you will need a power supply, dirty roller piece, and front piece as those are reused from original. It is a standard 12V from the looks of it.

    Can the green connector be connected to an FMM module or must it go to a breakout box? If it can be connected directly to an FMM, what is the plug wiring diagram? I have an FMM with unused ports and want to use it (rather than a breakout box) to send alerts. Thanks.

    • @ReefAndReptileAutomation
      @ReefAndReptileAutomation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would use just a breakout box. I will be posting a video on this install in the next few weeks.

  • @lennyco1

    Does the high water sensor in the front of the sump go in the main?

    Do the new sumps come with the v2? Just ordered my sump

  • @beginagainben6276

    Ok so what happens if you plug in sensors before sump is full? Doooont push the red button! Lol

    • @ReefAndReptileAutomation
      @ReefAndReptileAutomation  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you plug in the sensors while it is on, it restarts the unit.

    I'm switching to timer because it randomly dispensed 40 percent of my roll for no reason. Also, save this video because they send you a box of parts and nothing else like how to assemble it. Kinda ridiculous.

    I am pretty sure the fleece material has changed either in workmanship or material, as the last one ordered lasted two weeks, and for the previous year, they lasted about two months. I left a message and email for any help, and as in the past, they did not answer. Keep your receipt cause they are selling faulty material.
