    I passed my test last week, and I have to agree with point #2: work your way up, wholeheartedly. I was planning to go from Car to Class 1. After 4 hours driving, I just wasn't comfortable, and decided to drop down to Class 2.
    Basically for me, from Car to Class 1 is such a massive jump, and I'm not saying it's impossible, just make sure you're prepared for it, watch your speed (I needed to go way slower on bends than I expected to), feather your steering around corners.

    • @DevilsCutMP
      @DevilsCutMP 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Those are some really good points. It is a massive jump up.

    • @truckitprayle
      @truckitprayle  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is a huge jump from Car license up to a Class 1 and especially in the UK.
      Taking corners at speed takes equal parts guts and confidence.
      What is the hardest part of it all?

    • @Sjetajj
      @Sjetajj 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@truckitprayleI would say the hardest part for me is balancing keeping in your lane and not hitting the curb whilst turning. Also knowing when you will need 2 lanes, either straddling before a turn, or knowing you will need to swing out over both lanes when coming into a dual carriageway for example.
      Checking mirrors constantly helps with this, as well as lower speed I've found. Until it goes from my conscious thinking to subconscious doing, I think these things will be my main worry.

    • @truckitprayle
      @truckitprayle  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah it can be daunting at first, but in time it will become almost natural to you, but like e said this is why working your way up in my opion is important.

    Reversing into parking spaces - Take it slow, nice slow movement with good well timed steering, use all the room available, every inch helps, look out your window as well as using mirrors.
    On the approach, with the parking space inline with your side windows, full lock the steering wheel away from the space, moving nice n slow, until you see (in the mirrors) the back end of your trailer lining up with the space. Then, straighten up the wheel, and just make small adjustments when backing in.
    Most importantly, take as much time as you need, even get out and check if you need to.
    It does get easier, the more you do it. Check out my videos for some HGV driving/reversing tips. 😎👍🚛💨
