I agree completely with what you've said about the sharp line that liquid lipsticks leave - I've also realised this year that this a look that I no longer like on myself. But I still really appreciate the longevity of liquid lipsticks, so I just tap over the lines to blur them. You're looking gorgeous btw, I looove the lipstick. I think I'm gonna look for a similar shade for myself 😅
I just did the same thing last night!! The post-Christmas boredom set in lol and I got to work clearing out the things I no longer use to give to friends/family 🥰
All items that are long wearing/long lasting/ waterproof (ie liquid lipsticks, mascaras, waterproof cream eyeshadows) I’ve decluttered because they contain PFAS. The health effects of those chemicals are not something I want to mess with. I’m learning to prioritize my health over beauty trends in 2022.
I am doing my declutter of the year in the same way as you are doing yours, meaning that I am leaving behind things that I don't want to keep using (they don't perform well, I have not a real use for them, and so on) but also things that are just too really not meaning much anymore for me, and it's time to let go. Especially for eyeshadows, is things I have several dupes of already in my collection. Anything else I am trying to make it work ❤️
I think that is a great idea, no point in holding onto things that you can’t or won’t use! I hope that you love & enjoy everything that you do decide to hold onto 😊
I just tossed an old lipstick and will be gifting a gloss to a friend my lip collection and everything else I did inventory on and if I am don't buy anything next year I will be set for a while! I really want to use what I have as well. I also got rid of a blush that didn't suit me and repressed another one into that pan. I am excited to play with what I have! And your bite lipstick is such a throw back. I miss those ones but I had to toss some, declutter some and I finished up a couple as you can tell when they are off.
The urban decay formula, yes. I pulled out the Gwen Stefani palette and it didn’t do well. I had to apply over and over then it didn’t stay, esp the mattes n
I have been letting things go that I can tell from shade that will not work for me with my Boxycharm. I have a bag that I am building to donate to a women's shelter once it is filled with makeup and skincare and anything else unopened. Anything I try and doesn't work for me, I am quickly giving to friends. I no longer want to have things to just have them. Whatever I keep I use or it goes.

I decluttered 4 highlights because I never reached for them they were so beautiful swatched but too intense on the cheeks
