It was refreshing to see positive comments about PIA. I wish more people would understand that poorer countries cannot necessarily compete with richer countries/airlines in terms of brand new aircraft, equipment and infrastructure. However most staff try their best with what they have. Well done to them.

Poor country has nothing to do with PIA. They are not selling tickets any cheaper. Flights are Full. That is what pays for planes, fuel, maintenance, crew, food etc. It's a stand alone product. Instead PIA has 39 planes and 20,000 people on payroll. PIA is suffering due to corruption not because the country is poor.

I have always found crew to be courteous and professional. Besides meal service is also good. Hats off to our national airline.
These 16 year old B777 have gas guzzler engines, very expensive to operate for fuel costs > newer B777 equipped with new more efficient engines > had not the Sharif and Zardari mafiosi clans stolen PIA funds and filled it with incompetent sifarashis, PIA could have converted to a modern all Airbus fleet with A210, A321, A350 Airbus planes > technologically more advanced than Boeings and with much more fuel efficient engines, lower pilot training costs given common glass cockpit > PIA would then be running profitably and living up to its standards of 1960s and !070s of “Great people to fly with” > bring back the old Pierre Cardin uniforms for cabin crew, more elegant and practical. 🇵🇰
Tell you brother and sister s not that my batch mates were operating this flight...but travelling all of the world...our PIA is the best airline. Honestly, not only the crew is very professional and knowledge able at least have regard for"Perdasees" going Home. As far operations is concerned..No Airline can match PIA...I know you would shake your head...but with resources and financial conditions we have survived no airline can survive. During COVID..our crew worked on almost half of the wages even denied rest.Just to get people from point A to point B..Hats off to our Cockpit and Cabin Crew.
This is an improvement and I hope it’s a step in the right direction - but they cannot fly to Europe because of that idiot who told the world that the pilots are cheats

PIA business class has been rebranded as premium executive economy. They simply can’t compete against other business classes so this made good sense.
Why would you say it can't compete? Other airlines fly to Pakistan sold out with First class pods. PIA just does not want to upgrade.
@@radiohead2206 They can’t compete with their current product. The investment to do so is cost prohibitive. PIA is doing the right strategy. Premium economy is an easier sell.

It’s not about being poor or shabby aircrafts - it’s about safety which unfortunately Pakistanis in general are very reckless - no the risk and still take the chance. Ask the passengers whose plans crashed due to pilot arrogance and lack of adherence to protocols.

پی ائی اے کیوں ٹورنٹو میں تین سے چار دن گزار لیتا ہے۔وجہ کیا ہو سکتی ہے؟یعنی پی ائی اے کی ہفتے میں دو پرواز ہوتے ہیں۔ایک اسلام اباد سے اور دوسرا لاہور سے۔ہر جمعے کو دو بجے اسلام اباد سے پرواز ہوتی ہے اور واپسی پیر کے دن ہوتا ہے۔دوسرا لاہور سے پیر کے دن ہوتا ہے اور واپسی جمعے کو ہوتا ہے۔اتنا طویل قیام کی وجہ کیا ہے۔اور اتنی طویل پارکنگ کا کتنا خرچہ اتا ہے؟؟
پی آئی اے کی ہر پرواز ٹورنٹو 🇨🇦 مین صرف 4 گھنٹے 🕓 رکتی ہے ۔. 🛬 ۔ ان چار گھنٹے میں آنے والے مسافر اترتے ہیں ۔ ۔ یہاں عملہ تبدیل ہوتا ہے ۔ ۔ refueling ہوتی ہے ⛽ ۔ ۔ جہاز کی اندرون کیبن صفائی 💺 ۔ ۔ کھانا و مشروبات پہنچانا 🍱 ☕ ۔ ۔ کارگو کا اتارنا اور چڑھانا ۔ ۔ ( line maintenance & checks via ground engineering ) ۔ ۔ نیا عملہ اور پاکستان جانے والےمسافر سوار ہوتے ہیں ۔ ۔ اور پھر جہاز واپس پاکستان 🇵🇰 روانہ ہوتا ہے ۔ 🛫 ۔ مگر ضروری نہیں کہ کراچی سے آئی پرواز واپسی بھی کراچی جائے بلکہ لاہور یا اسلام آباد بھی شیڈیولڈ ہوسکتی ہے جو پہلے سے طےہوتا ہے ۔ ۔ ایر لائن کے مقامی عملے کی ذمہ داری ہوتی ہے کہ ان چار گھنٹوں کے بعد 🕗 پرواز مقررہ وقت پر روانہ ہوجائے ۔ ۔ ۔ ۔ وقت کی پابندی ⏳ کسی زمانے میں پی آئی اے کی پہچان ہوا کرتی تھی 🎖 ۔ ۔
دنیا کا کوئی کمرشل جہاز ✈ بغیر کسی خرابی 👷 ۔ مجبوری (موسم خرابی 🌩 وغیرہ) یا کسی اور معقول وجہ 📋 کے خاص دوسرے ملک میں چند گھنٹے بھی زائد گزارنا afford نہیں کر سکتے ۔ ۔ یہ جہاز ✈ جتنی دیر پرواز کرتے ہیں پیسے کماتےہیں 💷 ۔ ۔ جتنی دیر زمین پر کھڑے ہوتے ہیں ان پر پیسہ خرچ 💸 ہوتا ہے ۔ ۔

Well PIA doesn't have business class anymore, what they call Business class is actually registered as Premium Economy with IATA standards, hence PIA is not allowed ot sell tickets as business class for this cabin on international flights. Looking at video it felt exactly like flying back in early 2000s or mid 2000s. Not only cabin is ragged the whole aeroplane is ragged, 16 years old with nothing replaced, same old seat covers floor lining & I am sure 90% of the rest of the aircraft is still 16 yeasr old. Poor maintained :(
It did put a smile on my face when you put "Fortunately" IFE was functional, I agree it's very fortunate.
I've been on a Pakistan International Airways flight on the exact same Boeing 777 but on a different flight to Jeddah. The food and crew were so nice but they could add movies to their tvs.
We ought not to encourage corruption & willful inefficiency & bad management !

wow the ife is working perhaps they did do some maintenance on this particular plane anyway on it... proof is the "updated movie selection" being so small lol what happened all the old school movies they kept for donkeys years... maybe their license ran out to show them? oh well
I understand it isn't the nicest airlines. But most people don't understand, Pakistan is not the richest country. It wouldn't be able to compete with beautiful Business Classes such as Qatar and Emirates. They did well for their money. My parents have been on it, and they said no it isn't very nice but the crew is amazing. The cabin had handprints and the screen didn't work. Otherwise it is impressive.

I’m going to be flying with pia in may, but I am a bit scared because first I’ll be taking their b777-200 then their A320 which I’m mostly scared
Don’t worry about any aircraft they both are perfectly safe and technically advanced and they also just recently got cleared maintenance wise by international regulators

PIA flight from Toronto to Pakistan and vice versa is good alternative for old and weak people , families with young children who do not want to have stop over, otherwise not worth travelling by PIA.

I have been living in the States for over 23 years. I traveled to Pakistan 4 times and never took PIA. While I am watching the video, I want to travel to Pakistan via PIA. I hope the best for Pakistan and it's airline.

Great report bro. Fog delays for Lahore are so common now, the DOH-LHE flight was delayed 13hrs when I was connecting through earlier this week.
That was actually due to rain not fog the rain was crazy in Punjab on the 6th
