A lovely video. It brought back many memories. I got my engagement ring in Hatton Garden 33 years ago. My husband hates shopping, so I went there in my lunch hour a few days in a row to look at all the rings. I whittled it down to 3 & then asked him to come with me to choose. The diamond I really wanted was a pear shape, but we'd just bought our first house & we stood outside the shop & discussed whether we should get the expensive ring or buy new sofas. The sofas won in the end, but I still love my ring. I should really get myself that pear shaped diamond now shouldn't I

I think you would find Chancery Lane is the nearest tube.
I think anything up to 3K US dollars or so seems reasonable- I know a lot of people spend more for flashy or perfect diamonds, but I personally just don't think it's necessary. I guess it depends on your personality and budget and what you think is important. I guess that is about 2400 pounds right now with exchange rate but it depends on the economy.
Do another tour of the jewellery shops, personally I love the massive chains & bracelets in yellow gold & iced out pendants..... fingers crossed for lottery win 🙏 🙌 😀
Platnium is not a Higher price per Ounce over Gold. However Pltnium is harder to work with and there is a Primium on this not the metal it's self.
