I'm so confused. Why is this called more cowbell when it is literally reaper? We played a song called more cowbell and it was literally nothing like a song I've heard before. Is this some tradition I wasn't aware of?
Low rider feels missing without the tuba playing Eb before the 8th note thing, along with baritones. Playing this in HS band on tuba and im playing the Eb anyways
I think it needs more cowbell
Same.
Petr Svitil hell yea. We need 3 people playing it
I agree

My band brought in teachers and parents to play cowbell and we ended up with 30 people onstage playing the cowbell :) it was pretty sweet

Anthony Tresca you don't need a prescription for more cowbell
I've heard Low Rider and Oye Como Va, but not Reaper and Drive My Car. But I like this song. Michael Brown and Paul Murtha are my favorite arrangers.

@@blueangels111It’s a reference to an SNL skit “More Cowbell”
My band is going to be playing this piece at our next concert. And yes we're giving all the cowbell we can give.

Once we played this with our school orchestra.. And since there was no piano part for me, I played the cowbell :) It was very fun.
Playing this on clarinet is so fun
Can you believe the rest of my band voted for Bohemian Rhapsody over this? I can't. I was the only one who voted for this, and I can't understand why.
That was never heard of in my entire school. xD
Needs more cowbell
i liked the part with the cowbell

We used to play this in junior wind band, I was the only one who was aware of the skit ;-;

I'm playing this on the tuba in band
my band played this with 10 percussionists all playing cowbell.
+Sol Kim I wish my band had ten percs. lol. We only have six and barely have the parts covered. We had to get a sax player to play cowbell. XD
Aidan Hicks nah, we didn't have 10 percs, we got some other instrument players to play cowbell.
Lel
+Aidan Hicks Hey m8! Can't wait to play this again next band practice lol.
Mines doing 25 this year
I'm that awkward oboe in the piece
Oboe is never, ever, awkward.
You know what's awkward? Only seeing girls play oboe. I never see boys play oboe.
Our one boy oboe at my school just graduated.. Now its me and one other girl
Hannah the Musician In my band there isn't any girl oboes
Really?! Interesting. I actually made a mistake. I just remebered that in one of the bands I play in has a boy oboe.
nostalgia!!! played this in 8th grade
Take a little trip, take a little trip, with meeeeeee
Low rider feels missing without the tuba playing Eb before the 8th note thing, along with baritones. Playing this in HS band on tuba and im playing the Eb anyways

My principal is playing cowbell. Enough said.
I liked the Blue Oyster Cult part :/
I’m in low brass and the beginning when we played this ... it sounded like sh** T^T
The cowbell player really need to explore space a little more while he was playing
Do More Triangle next
So it's just Fear the Reaper
The beginning of Drive My Car in this song sounds like it came out of Tom & Jerry or something.
I thought the cowbell was a bit out of tune in the recording
Tenor Sax all the way!
Don’t fear the reaper
Bari Sax part bass is best
