Today I am sharing my experience on how I started, knitted the I-cord edge and finished my Sophie Shawl.

This video only shows you how to start, make the I-cord edge and how to finish your shawl. It is only mean to help you with the original pattern and to inspire you to make one for yourself or as a gift.

I have made several of these shawls for myself and have given them as gifts also. I really love making them and I can see myself making many more in the future, just like with the Sophie Scarf.

I prefer making the increase by knitting the first three stitches and then make a backwards thumb loop for the increase stitch. It’s much neater and does not leave a hole. For the decreases, i knit the first three stitches and then knit two together for a much neater look.

Thank you for this! Question: Do I have to increase from the beginning on only every 6th row? Or do I have to increase the third stich in every second row? Sorry, I'm not english...thank you!
